I'm enjoying this. It's not great, and it's a mite twee, but, well, it's sweet and it's fun. I didn't want to stop reading last night. :>

I'm not so much reading this as studying lines. I've already read it through, though, a couple of times.

Should finish this tonight, I hope.

I'm gonna hafta switch this to my main book once I'm done Winds of Karkaroff. It just feels like it's taking forever, and I just want it to move along already.

Round and round and round we go... What's the point? No one knows!

Right now I'm reading primarily to find out if Borund gets him comeuppance, the git.

A fairly standard "PI-sort gets in over his head, has people chasing him thinking he knows more than he knows, while he tries to figure out what's going on to save his hide and save/attract the damsel in distress who he fell in love with after 5 seconds 'cause she's uber-gorgeous' type story. It's only saving grace is the humor, really, and while it's rather droll and witty in places, it's not really *that* funny.

I'm generally enjoying it, and bits and pieces of past books are coming back to me... but I sort of wish after five books that Lila's continual self-doubts and incriminations would, um, have made some progress...

It's always hard coming back to series with a gap between books. I'm forgetting half of what happened before - but it's been good, so far, about giving little reminders that have been filling in the gaps.

So far so intrigued...

Srsly? Someone who's been in knife fights just did that?

I got this book over a year ago, and I'm not one who usually holds onto books that long. But I kept putting it off - partially because I'd been burned, I think, by both steampunk books and indie type books, and was hesitant to jump in. But I started it this morning and while it's still early days yet, I'm hopeful that it'll be entertaining and, at the very least, not dreck.

York's kind of an idiot. Ok, idiot's not the right word... Um - how about foolhardy? Yeah, I think that works.

So far it's a pretty fair to middling installment. It's lacking some of the real bite and wit of previous books, and all the enemies are being beaten way too easily. Not much in the way of suspense...
