I'm finding this narration to surprisingly be pretty annoying. I'm on 3x speed and the narrator sounds soooo choppy, I can't even imagine how long all the constant pauses mid-sentence take on 1x speed.

He made a sound like a dying eagle in freefall. “Don’t—Don’t do that! What’s wrong with you?”

She even redrew Raja Hiss, adding a little talwar that he held with his tail.
Adding this to my list of known details about the doodle Raja Hiss:
- is a snake
- has a mustache
- wears a turban
- can be mistaken for poop (likely coiled)
- holding a talwar with his tail

I am regularly laughing out loud and rewinding so I can quote bits aloud to my partner. This is feeling like five star energy.

This book is surprisingly way more horny than I'd expect given the subject matter, but I'm otherwise really enjoying the world and the characters and the plot.

“I have to be.” He grinned. “I wouldn’t dare bore a woman like you.”

Completed 5 chapters, each one was a different POV, ch 6 appears to be wrapping back around to the first POV we started with.

I've only just started the audiobook and this already has 5 star energy, ngl

The graphic audio is a little distracting, ngl. And so far not loving that the plot we're talking about is a dead dog serial killer.

oh no I think I hate this

I have a lot of thoughts about the audiobook in particular. The narrator is pretty terrible at doing female voices. But also seems to do harmful stereotypes and accents for villains and recurring thugs. And it makes me a little uncomfortable but the author seems so nice.
