It was not a good idea to listen to this part (i.e. the heavy descriptions of bulimia effects) while tossing out my curdled milk. Just. Not a great time. My stomach hurts and I haven’t even had breakfast yet.

Also see: I was right in saying I need to listen to this in bite-size pieces. I think I’ve been fairly quick but it has also been 10 days.

Happy fall! I’ll be pregaming Marauders fanfiction by binge reading some series about a magical kid with a scar

idk why I decided to continue listening to this as a distraction from the american election…it’s just bummer after bummer for me today. Maybe I’ll read something more lighthearted later to cheer me up.

Anyways, it’s so fascinating to see this behind-the-scenes look of a show I used to love so much. It’s just heartbreaking overall but I’m glad Jennette and Miranda were friendly at the least.

I don’t want to say I was -bored- earlier but I didn’t really get Excited Excited until the scene where Harry rides a broom for the first time - I was like really hype.

I also love how flawed these kids are? Harry and Ron are sooo judgemental esp towards Neville (poor guy) and Hermione (who is VERY condescending).

Once again I cannot escape the “describes the mean/evil characters as ugly” trope :/

I do think I’ll need to read this in bite-size pieces bc it’s got such a huge nervous/anxious/chaotic energy and I’m only at the beginning

I read my review from two years ago before starting this again and I realized that review is pretty obviously from the perspective of someone who had never experienced grief. l’m very interested in the new perspective I’ll get from this reread. It’s already hit me with the “trying to get ur hospitalized loved one to wake up but they never do” moment but the line about her weight just adds another punch.

Got the audiobook I’m SOO fucking hype

percy jackson summer is over it’s time for harry potter fall (i say like im not just reading both series simultaneously)

boy do i have plans for this series. i marathoned the movies last week and just kept thinking man this is great and all but fuck, the books are just so much richer. but at the same time i really want to read this with a more critical eye compared to last time (which was uh. four years ago)

ohoho the third act conflict is gonna piss me off soooo bad

the fact that they were gonna bone and it turned into miles trauma dumping….like this is such a pivotal moment for their relationship and i’ve learned a lot about them as characters which is great absolutely but OH MY GOD WHEN ARE THEY GONNA BONE PLEASEEEEEE

idc the fact that they’re name peter and petra feels incestuous to me

still loving this book. however what is with this woman’s obsession with nipples. emily henry babe. you know hard nipples isn’t a female version of an erection. you know this right. look me in the eye and tell me you know this. please. please. it was fine the first few times. now its excessive. baby please.

a few things:
-this plot feels like it came right out of r/AITA
-big mistake saying miles looks like wolverine. now i’m picturing hugh jackman who i only just started crushing on (i know im late to the game)
-i noticed the bits about the driving. the blinker and the checking the blind spot. yeah it’s the bare minimum but also. green flag.
-why is daphne so me (incapable of conversation)

I’ve figured out what’s been bothering me so bad about book to movie/TV adaptations lately and it’s a double edged sword.
1) Fans have been increasingly picky to an unrealistic extent about making everything Perfectly Accurate
2) Networks have this strange rebellious need to make an adaptation that strays far from the source material
And so we get continuous lose-lose situations

Did I end up picking up another book about dealing with sexism in the workplace oh my god.

The vibes are immaculate though but I thought it would be more mysterious right now it's just stressful

the way ravi not only matches pip’s freak but i dare say SURPASSES it

I did NOT go through half a book of her covering her tracks for her to give up now. No fucking way.
