Very intriguing so far. Sophisticated exposition, or lack thereof. Only the details necessary to stay engaged are explained, otherwise, you’re left asking questions and letting your imagination run wild.

Reading this with my sister, Laura. Should be fun! She’s finally putting down those soapy beach read books for babies and reading some real LITERATURE for once. Good for you Laur!

I’m not familiar enough with Oscar Wilde to know where he ends and Lord Henry begins. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a regular topic of discussion for this book. Lord Henry (and maybe Wilde?) is very amusing but he seems to me like the anti-C.S. Lewis—making clever, wordy statements that are all veneer, no substance. Still, he does drop some hilarious (and thought provoking) lines.
