Basically just finished where the first movie ends. Still very unimpressed sadly. And 200 pages left to go yikes!

Almost to the part of the book where the movie ends. Hopefully the last bit of the story feels better since I won’t be comparing it to the movie.

Paul was already an obnoxious, cold, unfunny, know-it-all and now part one just finished with a vision he has literally zero trouble understanding. He’s going to be insufferable 😩

Really unimpressed so far

Paul is way too smart. Comes off as annoying most of the time.

Kind of strange… there’s some huge plot details that have already been revealed in the first few chapters that came as big surprises in the movie. Not sure why Herbert has done that. The movie’s choices seem better lol.

Gotta get ready for Dune: Part Two (the movie) which comes out in November!

I’d love to know what Lewis thought of The Once And Future King, one of my favorites.

The book keeps cutting back to Mark’s POV which is getting so tiresome! Especially at this point when all the action with the other characters has finally come to a boil. Ugh!
