I was so happy just now when I noticed a picture of me popped up in the "popular photos" section...was that totally shallow of me?!?

After reading the bleak (but sublime) "A Scanner Darkly", I need something a little more upbeat now. Here's hoping this steampunk adventure fits the bill.

In the opening chapters, the lead villainess pouts after committing her first murder, since she didn't have time to give an entire long speech like they do in the movies. She then considers burning her old house to the ground, but doesn't because now it just seems overly-dramatic and less interesting than she had imagined. This is already shaping up to be a very fun read!!!

Jim Barris is amoral, underhanded, sociopathic, and an all-around scumbag! What does it say about me that he's also my favorite character in this book?!?

It's amazing how this book manages to be soul-crushingly bleak, yet also side-splittingly funny...sometimes even in the same paragraph!!!

Between the mind-blowing story and PKD's captivating prose, this book has me totally hooked! Oh, umm, maybe that wasn't the best choice of words, considering the book's subject matter :/

Wow, only a couple of chapters in, and this is already an intense read! PKD does a masterful job portraying the anguish, paranoia, and mental deterioration caused by drug addiction. Gripping and powerful story so far!

The first book I'm starting in 2013 is also my first Philip K Dick book! I'm so excited :)

This book was beginning to drag a bit... (Hmmm...Luke Skywalker mediates a dispute between two neighbors over a fence...yeah, that's JUST what I was looking for when I picked up a "Star Wars" novel!) But now there's plenty of excitement again thanks to Mara Jade being back in action!

YAY!!! I just got my very first Kindle! And since I want my first Kindle experience to be special, I've chosen an author who always manages to blow my mind

While I'm really enjoying this book, one thing is starting to annoy me...I can't help but notice that the author seems to be injecting a lot more personality into his own creations (Thrawn, Mara Jade, C'baoth), than he is into the classic characters like Luke, Leia, & Han!

Just when I thought Princess Leia couldn't possibly get any cooler, she takes on the role of "Lady Vader"!

Grand Admiral Thrawn is such a formidable opponent! Is there anything Thrawn can't do...besides NOT be awesome?!?

Just finished chapter 4...whoa, definitely did not see THAT one coming!

Chapter 1 had AT-AT walkers and dueling spaceships. Chapter 2 had a lightsaber-vs.-blasters battle. Chapter 3 had Han Solo being...well, Han Solo. Thank you, Mr. Zahn, for reminding me why I ever loved Star Wars in the first place! :)

Apocalypse...NOW?!?

In the original trilogy, "Empire Strikes Back" was even better than "Star Wars"! In the prequels. "Attack of the Clones" was...uh, less awful than "Phantom Menace"! Will the Thrawn trilogy also carry on the "Star Wars" tradition of part two always being better than part one???

So far, I've seen a madame share a passionate kiss with a demon, a shining knight in all her glory, and an immortal savage slay a dragon and then eat it...Mr. Cornell, you have earned my attention!

Just heard about the terrible school shooting in Connecticut! It is truly frightening how many evil people there are in the world! What kind of a sick monster would gun down innocent children?!? Sending prayers and healing wishes to everyone affected by this horrible tragedy :(

Is it sad that I had to take my car in for maintanence yesterday...and was grateful because I got a little extra reading done in the waiting room?!?
