Hmmm, this author is a definite believer in "tell, don't show"! It would be nice if we could actually see Mary display some intelligence and strength, instead of just having characters constantly comment on how smart and strong Mary is :/

The first chapter features people traveling through secret passages into hidden chambers...I'm grinning already! :D

Having just finished Stephen King's "It", I need something a little lighter now to balance things out...this delightful-looking mystery seems like it might do the trick!

Wait...so something that was impersonating a clown was once defeated by a gang of meddling kids? Does Stephen King always look to Scooby-Doo episodes for inspiration?!?

That moment when you nervously ask yourself, "Is this going where I think it's going?"...and then the book winds up going in a direction EVEN MORE horrifying and disturbing than the one you anticipated!

The Joker must really not like "It", since Pennywise has taken away his "Creepiest Clown" status...

You'd think now that I'm over 800 pages in, this book would start getting repetitive, but no, Stephen King still keeps finding new ways to freak me out!!!

Seriously? The meanest guard at the hospital is named "Koontz"?!? C'mon, Stephen, there's no need to take a cheap shot at the competition like that!

Just when I thought I couldn't possibly appreciate this book any more, King throws in an "Iron Maiden / Judas Priest" reference! :D

"When that crazy cop killed all those women in Castle Rock, Maine..." - Love how Stephen King keeps working in references to some of his other books!

Leave it to Stephen King to find a way to make even folk music terrifying...

Of all the disturbing things in this book, the one that's gotten to me the most so far was the photo album...those moments redefined creepy!!! :O

Scars magically reappearing on people...ghostly voices coming through drainpipes...oh yeah, the creepy factor has definitely been turned up to eleven!!!

Since I loved so many of Babs & Dinah's adventures in the "old" DC, I was really looking forward to seeing them together again in the New 52...imagine my surprise that right now my favorite character by far is this "Starling" newcomer!

I really hope Beverly's scumbag abusive husband receives a visit from a certain psychotic clown...

I have no idea what's really going on in this book right now...yet I'm loving it anyway!!!
