Ethan was too beautiful. Too damaged. This was most definitely the wrong path to take. It couldn’t go anywhere good or healthy for either of them.

This is seriously a very fast paced book!!

He vanished once again. Jack was following him before he made the choice to. Muttering, “Who’s loonier, the loon or the loon who follows him?”

I don't even know Jack. This book is setting quite a good pace.

“North.” Just that one word, just his name, but it felt like it took Shaw an hour to say it, felt like it was the only sound left in Shaw’s world and it stretched a mile long.

I gotta say that after torturing me for the length of two books, it looks like these guys will make it up to me.

“Are you ready?” she asks. The belltower tolls. In two hours, the dawn drums will beat. “Doesn’t matter if I’m ready,” I say. “It’s time.”

Damn right, it's above time. That thing, right at the end is the single sensible thing she did for the entirety of this book.

I lift myself up on my toes, and his face comes down at the same time. His lips are soft, softer than I could have imagined, but there is a hard desperation behind them, a need. The kiss speaks. It begs.

North shushed him, laying his hand over Shaw’s mouth again, gently this time. He turned Shaw toward him; their foreheads met, their eyes close enough that Shaw’s hazel ones blurred and swam and seemed to make a third eye in North’s watery vision.
“I love you,” North said.

That moment😢, right there, is the whole reason I let Gregory Ashe torture me for the entire length of two books.

Eight years was too fucking long. North bent and kissed him.

I've been reading this series for a month but I felt every second of those 8 years waiting for this moment😢😭

“No, Jadon’s not even a part of it. You’re not planning my funeral. That’s all.”

When this is over, I really am going to miss Adrien and his humour 😂

Adrien's internal monologue is so funny. I've never encountered one like his before. I am holding a book and laughing every few minutes with my family looking at me like I have lost my mind.

God! Just let Laia get some sense. Her internal monologue is sooooo boring.

"I have nightmares about you." I dragged my T-shirt over my head, threw it aside.

So is the jury still out on Jake being an asshole? I think I can cut him some slack.

I gave her a long look. "I do not want this cat," I said. "No, Nat. Not in a hat. Not in my flat. Not in the store, not any more, just out the door....if you please."

Is it just me or Adrien is getting more and more funny with each page.

Ok. I just read the first chapter and I'm totally in....
