JAKE 4EVER <333333
3.5 Ha! They sell Jake Riordan tees.:D

In spite of all the confusing as hell errors and marketing decisions surrounding This Is Christmas, this was a cute and mellow rendezvous with Adrien & Jake. Nothing earth-shattering, and perhaps I'd have prefered a little more amusing family time with the Riordans and Englishes. And a little less blah mystery. And less of that sugary, somewhat bland version of our boys. But really, what it boils down to is that I'll take all the Adrien & Jake I can

UPDATE!!! (Thanks for the information, Cider!!!)

"Hi, just to clarify, this book will be 127 pgs for $3.99 and will be released on the 30th based on the updated Amazon page :) "

I want to read this but $3.99 for a 19 page novella is nearly extortion. Not happening.

ETA: Extortion might be a harsh word, but I feel that when an author has a loyal fan base, a fan base who wants to read more on a beloved character, charging that kind of money is taking advantage of their loyalty. Not cool

Yes, it is 1 am and I just finished this book. To say that I was looking forward to this book is a gross understatement and it just exceeded every one of my expectations. I am literally crying tears of joy right now because of that perfect ending. Jake and Adrien will always be one of my favorite couples.

The audiobook cannot come fast enough!
'So This is Christmas' is pretty much a long epilogue for The Dark Tide. Low on the angst and high on the romantic feels, this novella is a great addition to Adrien and Jake's story.

By the end of book 5, I was satisfied that Jake and Adrien had finally found their HEA. There were still a few things to work out, but I didn't doubt that they'd be able to iron out the rough patches. It was great to see that re-affirmed.

There's no more angst, no more second-guessing and distrust. Both Adrien and Jak

You know what? This is an imperfect book that happened to be perfect for me. :)

I loved it. Despite some of the eyebrow raising going on...I still loved it.

Because Adrien.

And Jake.

And new stuff.

And happy.
Oh, Jake. Oh, Adrien-with-an-e .... how I've missed you! Set six months after The Dark Tide, and immediately following their Christmas-time trip to London (Click here for Josh Lanyon's blog and search for Christmas Coda 41) Jake and Adrien have returned home to celebrate their first Christmas together quietly and privately. That is until Jake gets a new case, and an old acquaintance from Adrien's past (Kevin O'Reilly from A Dangerous Thing) asks him for help locating his boyfriend ... and it tur ...more

I like my Jake and Adrien with a little bite, you know?

This is soft, smooth, sweet. Like too much Christmas candy. Smushy, even, which isn't how I think of this couple.

To me, Jake and Adrien have always been the best of Lanyon's stories. Josh took a chance with Jake. Jake was not the ideal romantic alpha. He had issues. He had edges. He lost control from time to time and the way he coped (or didn't) with his sexuality was less than ideal. It was always a battle for him, and then w
4.5 stars. I probably would have liked it even better if I could remember the rest of the series.

Adrien??? Is that really you? It's been such a long time!

This is such a lovely story and a big must for fans of Adrien and Jake.

It is so satisfying to see the two men as a committed couple and to have a glimpse of what this means for their families and for their friends. Of course there is also a mystery for us to contend with.

Jake and Adrien are now together and it is the beginning of a whole new chapter in both their lives. They have moved into their new home together but they haven't yet unpacked everything and they need to get used to the give and

That right there was a mind-gasm. I love love love Adrien. I just... Oh man, I lack words. That was just so...

Adrien and Jake had just got back from London and shortly after they are encumbered with an "old friend", whose boyfriend has gone missing. Adrien offers Jake's services but turns out (view spoiler). This leads to a series of macabrely funny events and considering h

Just saw on amazon that this is supposed to be 19 pages for $3.99 - that's pretty steep, right?

ETA: After someone tried to educate me about the intricacies of how amazon works, something that's not really my part of the job (I'm the customer, I don't really care how distribution works until I can buy the end product), now I was told that the book will have 127 pages, only to once again be postponed, now til the end of January. Perhaps the title should be worked on as well:)

We'll wait and see.

First of all, I have been wanting another book with these two since I read the last book. I am so obsessed these dudes and expect another book cause you can't just end it like that and not give us more!

I think this is the book every Jake hating but secretly loving reader wanted. I know I did. So happy how it all played out in this. xx
4.5 stars

It was great to catch up with Adrien and Jake. Taking place shortly after The Dark Tide it was so great to see them still moving forward and falling deeper in love. Jake still struggles with his feelings at times, but mostly it's because he doesn't think himself worthy of Adrien and because of the way his family has reacted.

There are a few cameos with characters from prior books and a bit of a mystery but it was all about Adrien and Jake for me. I'll continue to hope it's not the last

And the circle closes.

Putting away the tissues I cried into (of happiness), I need to shout out to the world how happy I am to end my reading year with THIS book.

It's perfection!

I loved every single letter in this one. It was the perfect closure to Adrien and Jake (although I hope not the last one)

Kevin O'Reilly (from book 2 A Dangerous Thing) is back and asking Adrien for help finding his missing boyfriend. Ivor Arbuckle (I'm not shitting you, that *is* his name) went to visit his homophobic up

It's incredibly heartwarming. Jake and Adrien are finally happy! You can tell simply by the fact that they laugh more, and they seem content just doing normal coupley stuff.

This book is also a mystery but there's just medium angst, which is perfect for a Christmas mystery.

Now our two favourite heroes are in a stable, "official" and established relationship, but they still have silly insecurities. For example, there's a good amount of jealousy on both sides. Well, I can't say no to jealous Jake
There are a few series I have read that I will love forever and will always hope for more from the author. The Adrien English series is one of those. So This is Christmas felt like a novel more than a novella because it was packed full of story and I was on the edge of my seat wondering the result of the mystery. I'm a sap .. I cried. Crazy lovely and again... I'm hoping for even more.
Oh, Jake. You've come a long way, baby.

Even I was surprised thay I was able to get past your (absolutely selfish, dickbag) treatment of Adrien. It was unexpected, but you really grew on me in The Dark Tide. I thought that maybe, just maybe you might actually deserve our darling Adrien's love and devotion.

But now, not only have I completely forgiven you, but I've also boarded the Jake and Adrien HEA ship. I don't think there has ever been a character that has redeemed himself on the level that

I never, EVER doubted Jake. I love that man so fucking much and Adrien, Phew. Jake's love, devotion and fucking worship of Adrien has turned him into an amazing man as well.

It took me a couple of days to try to figure out what words to describe this story, but I still have no words because this book has been one of my happiest book pleasures ever. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought we would see Adrien & Jake again. They are in my Book Royalty. I love the Adrien & Jake story. It isn't nice, easy, or sweet. These two have fought extremely hard to get where they are and it's PERFECT.

This picks up right after book 5. Jake & Adrien are returning

This book was such a treat that it absolutely felt like a gift… It’s been a while since I’ve gotten a fresh taste of these characters, and I loved every single word of it. Having cast a sly side-eye at Josh Lanyon for making me wait so very long, I slid straight into this installment of the Adrien English Mysteries like no time had passed at all. We pick up with Adrien and Jake once they’ve had a chance to settle into their relationship, and there is something incredibly heartwarming about the c ...more

This is a favorite series of mine - because there was real work and a lot of heartache and headache getting to the good part (the HEA part). Wow so here is the Jake we were all wishing showed up in the beginning - but is it a case of better late than never?

While short this really shines in the area we all want to see: On the daily man - how goes it with Jake an Adrien? Has Jake fallen into his jerkface ways? Is Adrien able to trust? I'm happy to say YES yes a thousand time yes. The beauty of thi
