Finally Arthur enters and I think now something will start. I was getting bored with Linus' monologue.

I just gave one of the biggest exams of my life and I have atleast a month before the placements begin. And I have a tonne load of books and series to complete. Anyone up for a buddy read?

I block my ears and close my eyes. Under my lids is a world without books. I look around for a while; feel the flatness of it, the general grey of the landscape – the rubble and bleakness of it. I choose to open my eyes.

I thought about him living a life without the bookstore, and at the same time I thought about me, living a life without the ocean. A dry, bookless world. It’s too bleak even to imagine.

BOOKS and WATER= my LIFE.

It’s in this moment, this exact moment, that I fall in love with him again.

Henry points out the water’s shadow on the grass, the blackbird singing at night, the lights in the buildings. He’s picking up parts of the world and showing them to me, saying, See? It’s beautiful.

This boy😢.. I don't know how to explain how much I like him.

Did I mention I love all of the side characters?? I mean the letters between George and Cal, George and Martin. Also Sophia and Michael in Great Expectations. Its so beautiful 😍

In my perfect world I wouldn’t worry about money. In my perfect world, books would be with us forever, and everyone would love the second-hand ones as much as Dad and George and I do.

I gave up on YA contemporaries a while ago but Cath Crowley writes it like no other I've ever read.

I love the Letter Library. I love the second hand bookshop. I love Henry's love for the bookshop. Can I just give up everything and buy a nice little bookshop near the ocean and live the rest of my life in peace with books and water?
