David David said: " Really cool book that has nice insights regarding life, the mind, friends etc.

I like Discourses so much more but there are some gems in here for sure. At times it got longwinded and useless.

Adolf Hitler
“Obstacles do not exist to be surrendered to, but only to be broken.”
Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf

Arthur Schopenhauer
“The art of not reading is a very important one. It consists in not taking an interest in whatever may be engaging the attention of the general public at any particular time. When some political or ecclesiastical pamphlet, or novel, or poem is making a great commotion, you should remember that he who writes for fools always finds a large public. A precondition for reading good books is not reading bad ones: for life is short.”
Arthur Schopenhauer, Essays and Aphorisms

M.J. DeMarco
“Instead of digging for gold, sell shovels. Instead of taking a class, offer a class. Instead of borrowing money, lend it. Instead of taking a job, hire for jobs. Instead of taking a mortgage, hold a mortgage. Break free from consumption, switch sides, and reorient to the world as producer.”
M.J. DeMarco, The Millionaire Fastlane

Robin Sharma
“The moment I stopped spending so much time chasing the big pleasure of life. I began to enjoy the little ones, like watching the stars dancing in moonlit sky or soaking in the sunbeams of a glorious summer morning.”
Robin Sharma, The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari: A Remarkable Story About Living Your Dreams

Dale Carnegie
“Everybody in the world is seeking happiness—and there is one sure way to find it. That is by controlling your thoughts. Happiness doesn't depend on outward conditions. It depends on inner conditions.”
Dale Carnegie, How to Win Friends & Influence People
