A rare and powerful inside view to the dysfunction that has come to be accepted as normal within the LDS missionary experience. I'm sure there are some who still have wonderful and spiritually enlightening experience. But clearly the men in charge need to be far better trained and controlled, with an emphasis on mental and physical health for all involved. It also highlights the financial aspect of these missions and how painfully they can stress participants and their families.
