?**This is futuristic police procedural that is one of my all time favorite series.
HNRHYR The Yiddish Policemen's Union by Michael Chabon
?**It's alternate history, it takes place in a Yiddish-speaking Alaska that after 50 years is about to revert back to native Alaskan control and there's a murder and some interesting noir-ish policemen. It's not a series, but a stand alone.

HYR The Sword of Summer* (Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard, Book 1) by Rick Riordan
?*Magnus Chase is the cousin of Annabeth Chase from the Percy Jackson books. Magnus' father is Frey, the Norse god of summer. The ancient gods from many pantheons like the Chase family. Great series and is as full of rich detail about the Norse gods and goddess as the Percy Jackson books are about the Greek gods and goddesses.
