I can't find an eBook version. I've noticed alot of books by Masterton aren't available:( I will have to skip out in this one. I do have Manitou and The Devil in Grey if u haven't read them. I'm looking to get more of his books. They all seem good. I've never read him before either. Let me know if u like it.

I thought that the author sounded familiar..I have read
by him years ago and I really loved it. Didn't even know that he had more books!! So yay!!!!
I'm gonna give this a go. Would anyone like to buddy read The Mariner by Ade Grant
? It was and still is a FREE read on Ammy www.amazon.com/The-Mariner-ebook/dp/B...
I'll start a thread if you like. Bill wants to read it as well.Do you want to start it tomorrow? Should we do chapters or %?
Sure you can start it. I've never done one. Bill's gonna do one? Alright. I was thinking chapter, but there were a lot when I looked. Maybe percent. You wanna check it out first? Tomorrow is perfect :)
Hey Cindy, when we're done with Naomi's Room, we ought to do a buddy read on Graham Masterton. I've been wanting to read one of his and I noticed some in ur tbr list.
Addy wrote: "shucks! too late for Mariner, but I'll check out your thread. sounds like a good one."Have you read it, Addy?
Hey, Addy. I was just over at Lendle and they have 4 copies available if you still want to give it a go.lendle.me/books/search/?q=the+mariner...

but then got distracted by "Seed" hehe... but I would totally be into that or another one of his. That would be great too!! :)
Oh thanks Nikki! I didn't see ur message:( I don't even know how that works, but thanks for letting me know.
Ok. So I figured it out! Thanks Nikki! If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have even tried. Now I got a new way to get books! I will b joining u all! Hopefully u guys aren't done yet.

We're between 32 and 40% and the story is picking up speed. We'd love it if you still wanted to join.

hmmmmm I have read Devil in Grey already...And the Manitou, I just never had any interest in...sorry...shoot. Is there anything else you need a buddy for, while I am waiting on Naomi's Room?? :)
:( We don't have it. Sorry...do you wanna just wait for Naomi's Room and we can choose another for afterwards???
Sure. Wish u could have joined us for Mariner. I'm behind everybody because I missed it when it was free. I borrowed it from lendleme and I was able to join. Do u have a kindle? You might b able to borrow that one or black train if u check. If not. Its ok. We can wait after Naomi.
No..I don't have a kindle...really not into ebooks, at all...yes, I am pain...haha But, I will definitely try to Interlibrary loan a copy of Black Train. So okay, we have our next two buddy reads.. As far as Mariner goes, I was so out of it, I didn't even see that was going on until everyone was well into it!! lol Yay for buddy reads!!!
Girl! U are seriously missing out on alot of free books. But that's ok. I still love you fir trying:)
hahahaha Well, thanks for that!!! yeah...I know, but I gotta hold a book, and turn real pages...I enjoy books as physical objects...yep..weirdo!!! lol
Even just for the freebies and money save it would be worth it.You're not old, you're the same age as me. LOL ;)
Going to start
tomorrow if anyone is interested.I've posted a thread so let me know if you wish to join Nikki and myself for this read.
:)
Cindy wrote: "I know...everyone raves about how awesome it is....But, I am old and stubborn...hahahaha"I'm old and stubborn too and used to feel the same way you do about e-books, but I finally gave in because a lot of books I was interested in were only being offered (at low, low prices, I must add) as e-books. Plus, sometimes with e-books you can get a book way before the paper copy comes out. And now I even read books on my small phone. Love having so many options for the next read.
You're so not too old for ebooks. My mom uses them and she's in her 50's. And my grandmother who is in her 80's. They're very easy on the eyes and hands. I'm in my 30's and have always had bad eyes. I can read more than I ever could before.
As for ebooks. There are really good discounts and sales always going on. And there are free books too. A lot of them. Classics are free. And plenty of indie books too.
I've more than paid for my ereaders with money saved. I got my kindle for $70 with ads. The screensaver turns into an ad when not in use.
I respect your choice if you don't want one. But you're not too old. ;)

Thanks everyone!!! lol But, I will stick to my book books...I get them free anyway from the library where I work, so I am good. haha Besides, I love being surrounded by the ones that I do own. My library is a comforting place...
