I'm with Traci on this, I've been trying to find Pilo at my libraries but no go and I won't pay the Kindle price(I'm a cheap bastard) so I will try to get a used copy but that may take awhile. I would be willing to read any of the fantasy books you listed Nikki.
I've just started reading
, I'm only 3 chapters in and really enjoying but thought I might enjoy it more as a buddy read. Is anyone interested in reading along with me?
Nikki wrote: "Maxine, would you like to read Kushiel's Dart after Pilo?"Yes, yes, yes! It's been in my digital pile for awhile now. If I remember correctly, it's very long too.

I just finished this book last week but I don't mind discussing it if you want to open a thread about the book.

Nikki wrote: "Ctgt, which would you like to read?"I ordered Pilo but it will take a little time to get here. I'm good with any of those fantasy books, Kushiel, Garden, or Name. Whatever works for everyone.
I'm still reading Kushiel's Dart, though it must be said that I've been setting it to one side then coming back to it when other reading obligations crop up. Which is fine, since I'm not rushing to complete it. Few books out there quite so compelling in terms of plot and prose, and I'm perfectly content to prolong the experience.

Nikki, either I'll finish it with you guys or simply participate in the discussion once you all get started on it (being mindful of spoilers, natch). There are two more books in the Phedre trilogy alone, not counting the six other novels in the Kushiel's Legacy series. Lots of reading ahead for me. :)
I went ahead and made a thread for the buddy read Kushiel's Dart that starts 6-14 here>www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1362744-...
I would read Off Season, but I wouldn't be able to start until the end of June. Give me a couple of weeks.
Mehmet wrote: "ok addy no problem. I wait till end of june also to read Off season."You and Addy are in for a real treat.
Thanks robby, i watched hills have eyes remake and been reading the legend of sawney bean, so getting in the mood for Off season :-)
Yay! I've heard alot of good things about this one. Lets start Monday the 24th? I'll start a thread before then to see if anyone else wants to join.

Finished Pilo. May join you for Scary Stories (I will determine if they are worthy of the expletive :)
You might as well, Jason. We've got millions of words to read, might as well read some of them with friends *cheese*
Tressa wrote: "I'd read Scary *&^%$%^% Stories but don't feel like forking over the money right now."It's free on the kindle!
Jessica, thank you! I thought I was looking at the Kindle version. Duh. Just ordered it and I'll join in, too.
Walter wrote: "Picked up a copy myself (hard to argue with the price). Got to finish The Wildman first, though."
Same here--for the (lack of) price, I grabbed it, too. Have to finish one, then I'll try to join in for this one!

Sounds like this one is going to be a very active buddy read :)
Does anyone want to buddy read Gaiman's new book The Ocean at the End of the Lane in July? This one is getting amazing reviews, and even though I've not some of Gaiman's books, I do want to read this one.

He intimidates my imagination.
