Just finished The Winner,
. Enjoyed it but midway I began to get impatient. It could have been several hundred pages less. Like the ending.

Just read The Brother about - wait for it - suspected SWEDISH JIHADISTS! Good story, but if this is what prompted Donald Trump to "warn" Americans not to follow Sweden into the terrorist abyss, he obviously didn't read the end!My review

Just finished The Good People by Hannah Kent ★★★★Started a little slow, but was glad I persevered.
This story is set in 1825 in rural Ireland. I dabble a little in family history, and have several branches of my family who were living in rural Ireland at that time. Through my family history dabbling, they have become real people to me, and the thing I found most fascinating in this book was that the mix of Catholicism and Faerie Lore was still so strong less than 200 years ago.
Glad you enjoyed it Kerri :) I can't believe her books - they are so indepth and heartbreakingly real! Love them!
My review of The Long Way Home by Louise Penny 3★Not my favourite book of the series.
