Nathalia (nenssa) | 24 comments Ladies (and quite possibly gentlemen), I'm looking for a good Sci-Fi Romance read. I would love to have something cheap (free would be fantastic) with a good plot. I'm open to anything except YA books.

Thanks!

A book away from an episode of hoarders (fidgit77) | 49 comments The Brides of the Kindred series are about 2.99 each on kindle. Sci-Fi smut but I liked them.

Tiger of Talmare is a short Novella, but its free on amazon kindle right now and I quite enjoyed reading it.

The League series by Sherrilyn Kenyon are not (ever *sigh*) on sale but are some of my favorite Sci-Fi romance ever.

Tiger of Talmare (Frontiers of Love, #1) by Nina Croft

Brides of the Kindred:
Claimed (Brides of the Kindred, #1) by Evangeline Anderson Hunted (Brides of the Kindred, #2) by Evangeline Anderson Sought (Brides of the Kindred, #3) by Evangeline Anderson Found (Brides of the Kindred, #4) by Evangeline Anderson Revealed (Brides of the Kindred, #5) by Evangeline Anderson Pursued (Brides of the Kindred, #6) by Evangeline Anderson

The League:
Born of Night (The League, #1) by Sherrilyn Kenyon Born of Fire (The League, #2) by Sherrilyn Kenyon Born of Ice (The League, #3) by Sherrilyn Kenyon Born of Shadows (The League, #4) by Sherrilyn Kenyon Born of Silence (The League, #5) by Sherrilyn Kenyon

I've also heard good things about Angela Knight's Warrior and Linnea Sinclair's Dock Five Universe, the first being Gabriel's Ghost. Both are on my tbr pile.

I'll be stalking this thread now, hoping for some more recs myself.

message 3: by ~Leslie~ (new)

~Leslie~ (akareadingmachine) Touched by an Alien (Katherine "Kitty" Katt, #1) by Gini Koch is a really fun series to read.

message 4: by Nathalia (new)

Nathalia (nenssa) | 24 comments Thanks Cristina and Leslie! I'll definitely check out those selections. I was actually really interested in Touched by an Alien a few months ago, but I completely forgot about it!

message 5: by Debbie's Spurts (D.A.) (last edited Jun 30, 2012 07:06PM) (new)

Debbie's Spurts (D.A.) Okay, a bit more dated (main character originally leaves home 'cause all the guys expect drudgery) but still with good story arc with some chuckles and some drama:

Restoree by Anne McCaffrey Restoree by Anne McCaffrey

And more Epic and recent, this series:

Dragon Prince (Dragon Prince, #1) by Melanie Rawn The Star Scroll (Dragon Prince, #2) by Melanie Rawn Sunrunner's Fire (Dragon Prince, #3) by Melanie Rawn Stronghold (Dragon Star, #1) by Melanie Rawn The Mageborn Traitor (Exiles, #2) by Melanie Rawn Skybowl (Dragon Star, #3) by Melanie Rawn

Science fiction genre in that is alien world but does read more of fantasy genre and almost enough romance for soap opera.

message 6: by ~Leslie~ (new)

~Leslie~ (akareadingmachine) Another one I read that was fun was Paradise 21 (a New Dawn, #1) by Aubrie Dionne .

And I agree with Cristina, The League series is amazing!

message 7: by Jai (new)

Jai | 81 comments I just finished The Chalice by P. L. Parker . It's of the "mars-needs-women" trope, and I enjoyed it well enough for what it was.

message 8: by new_user (new)

new_user | 1389 comments I love Melanie Rawn, but she's strictly fantasy.

Try Song of Scarabaeus, Shards of Honour, or Gabriel's Ghost. They are well-loved by fans of the genre.

Soulfire | 2 comments I really like Eve Langlais alien books. They're really light, sometimes shorter than I like but fairly cheap on amazon some are $3.99 and some are $2.99. She never fails to make me laugh. Nannie Katherine "MiMi" (infamousmimi) | 37 comments Kushiel's Chosen, Kushiel's Dart & Kushiel's Avatar by Jacquelene Carey. There are more in the series but I haven't gotten to them yet. All were at the public library. So they were free!

Nannie Katherine "MiMi" (infamousmimi) | 37 comments Another free one is: Insatible by Meg Cabot. Also from the library. It's the Insatiable Series.

Carolyn F. I loved Grimspace (Sirantha Jax, #1) by Ann Aguirre series too. A really good one.

message 20: by Nancy (new)

Nancy (nancyjcohen) | 74 comments Keeper of the Rings is a $2.99 ebook so that shouldn't hurt your wallet too much. If you like, the Light-Years series runs around $4 per title: Circle of Light, Moonlight Rhapsody, and Starlight Child. These are my titles along with Silver Serenade. My favorite authors in this genre are Linnea Sinclair and Susan Grant.

message 21: by Susan (new)

Susan Cartwright (susancartwright) Catherine Azaro for sure. Very sexy with an interesting story. I like Anne Mcaffery, too.

message 22: by Carolyn F. (new)

Ann aka Iftcan (iftcan) | 2659 comments Mod
What about The Beastmaster series by Andre Norton? The first 2 books are strickly action/adventure, but books 3 and 4 are definately romance. First book Beastmaster, then Lord of Thunder, then Beastmaster's Ark and finally Beastmaster's Circus. There is a 5th book--Beastmaster's Search, but its NOT a romance. (Sorry, my GR is acting up and won't let me link anything.)

A semi-sci-fi is the 2176 series. The Legend of Banzai Maguire by Susan Grant (#1), The Shadow Runners by Liz Maverick (#2), The Power of Two by Patti O'Shea (#3), Days of Fire by Kathleen Nance (#4) and The Scarlet Empress by Susan Grant (#5). Yes, 4 different authors, but its all set in the same world.

Susan Grant has 2 other sci-fi series. Since my links aren't working, I'll just leave it at her name.

Michelle (quill_n_ink) | 107 comments Love the Dominion Series by S.E. Lund. A young vampire hunter is seduced by 800 year old twin vampire brothers. Although there is more to the book than romance, it certainly has plenty of steamy scenes and definitely isn't YA. Dominion is .99 and Ascension is 3.99. Retribution, book 3, will be released December 11. Can't wait!

Dominion Ascension

message 41: by Jenny (new)

Jenny | 114 comments This is more futuristic than Sci Fi but it's definitely romance.
Undercover (Federation Chronicles, #1) by Lauren Dane Relentless (Federation Chronicles, #2) by Lauren Dane Insatiable (Federation Chronicles, #3; Phantom Corps, #1) by Lauren Dane Mesmerized (Phantom Corps, #2) by Lauren Dane Captivated (Phantom Corps, #3) by Lauren Dane
I've read the first two and really enjoyed them. Love Lauren Dane's writing.
The other series that is more futuristic with romance playing a small part it's more a mystery series is J. D. Robb's (Nora Roberts) In Death series.
I have read most there is alot about 40 or so but they are well written and I really like the characters. Eve and Roarke are great along with alot of the secondary characters, but they are definitely a mystery series before it's a romance.

message 42: by ~Leslie~ (new)

~Leslie~ (akareadingmachine) Gabriel's Ghost (Dock Five Universe, #1) by Linnea Sinclair I read this recently after being recommended to me and it was very good. Really interesting characters and world.
And Alana, I have the first Joss Ware book but didn't realize it was Sci-fi romance.

Alana ~ The Book Pimp (loonyalana) | 538 comments It's like a mash-up Sci-Fi/Paranormal/Romance/Distopian

Alana ~ The Book Pimp (loonyalana) | 538 comments Aliens meets End of the 'Modern' world meets zombies meets psychic/parnamoral powers. Kick butt heroine, lots of world building in book one, so the first half is slow, but worth it in my opinion

Travis Luedke (twluedke) | 31 comments If you don't mind some intense BDSM mixed into a sci-fi romance story, I just finished a book by Kayla Stonor not too long ago, and I really enjoyed it.

Here's my 5 star review on "Under by Treaty" from Kayla Stonor: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

Under By Treaty by Kayla Stonor

message 50: by Travis (new)

Travis Luedke (twluedke) | 31 comments I recently read and reviewed a pretty good SCIFI erotic romance novel with very heavy BDSM overtones.

Basically, a man who is a general on earth, who's been fighting against a humanoid-alien invasion force for several years, is forced into a position where he must submit to the enemy to save Earth.

The indecent proposal comes from an alien ambassador badass chick, smoking hot Domme with wicked combat skills. She signs a treaty with Earth on the condition that the general submits to a "joining" with the Alien queen. If he is unsuccessful at submitting voluntarily, the treaty is broken and Earth will be stomped by a superior invasion force.

The story is a harsh erotic romance tale of an Alpha male who is forced/willingly submits to his captor to save planet earth.

IT IS VERY INTENSE.

I enjoyed it, even though I am a guy, and it's harsh reading for a guy. FEMDOM.

Check it out:
