I'm still in Part 2, so like 80 pages in. Books for classes have put a lot of my reading on hold...but Spring Break is coming so I should be back in full swing after that!

message 302: by Ashley (new)

Ashley Sure, I will add it to the list. :)

Jack (jack_) Hi, is it ok to move Last Train From Liguria forward a month or two? I won't be able get it a soon as I thought.

message 305: by Ashley (new)

Ashley Sure, Jack. Which month were you thinking? Is that alright with everyone else that wants to read it? :)

message 306: by Jack (new)

Jack (jack_) Well, May or June would be fine with me, whatever suits, and if its ok with everyone else.

message 307: by Ashley (new)

Ashley I will put it in June for now, and if we want to move it up to May we can. :)

message 308: by Jack (new)

Jack (jack_) Ok great, thanks Ashley.

ilovebakedgoods (Teresa) (ilovebakedgoods) | 169 comments Hi there! I'm trying to become more involved in this group so I'm going to post a book I'm reading in May and ask if anyone wants to join me for a Buddy Read. I'll say the read will be open from May 1 to May 30.

I'm reading Lola and the Boy Next Door Lola and the Boy Next Door (Anna and the French Kiss, #2) by Stephanie Perkins AND I'll be reading If I Stay If I Stay (If I Stay, #1) by Gayle Forman .

Thanks!
Teresa :)

Kara (karaayako) | 3984 comments Talked to Nik, and he, Craig, and I would like to sign up The Ocean at the End of the Lane for June. Anyone else want to join us? Feel free!

message 311: by Ashley (new)

Ashley Nik messaged me earlier and I put it on my list for June. :)

ilovebakedgoods (Teresa) (ilovebakedgoods) | 169 comments Can I get a thread started for either of the books I mentioned in post #332? Thanks! I'm reading both this month, both for buddy reads on other groups, so I will be willing to do buddy reads here if anyone else wants.

message 313: by Ashley (new)

Ashley Sure, Teresa. I will get them set up. :)

So, um, totally just realized that The Ocean at the End of the Lane won't be released until June 18th. Nik & Craig: can we push back to July? Also, you can currently pre-order signed books here (USA only, unfortunately): http://www.portersquarebooks.com/pre-...

message 317: by [deleted user] (new)

Anyone want to read Eat, Pray, Love?

message 318: by [deleted user] (new)

Craig wrote: "@Kara - I have no problem pushing that back to July

@Olivia - that was a great movie so I'd be interested in the book. Would have to be July or later though for me."

July's fine with me

Sorry, Kara, I just saw this (when I went looking for our buddy read thread). Yes, of course, July is fine. =)

Kara (karaayako) | 3984 comments Hmm...I don't think we have any buddy reads for August. Is there anything people want to read together?

Would it be ok if I read And Then There Were None also. I have done a jigsaw with it at school so I know what happens but I would like to read te whole book. I won't give anything away! :) what do you think?

message 324: by Kali (new)

Kali Srikanth | 9 comments Just 23 pages into Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer by Jon Krakaeur. Would love to discuss ideas/thoughts/themes of the book with somebody. :-)

message 325: by Jade (new)

Jade | 12 comments I wish I could!!! I have only read Into Thin Air By Jon Krakaeur. :) Amazing writer! :)

message 326: by [deleted user] (new)

Hello everyone. I wanted to ask if anyone would be interested in reading The Art of War by Sun Tzu with me? I think if someone read it with me, I would finish it and I'm still at the beginning of it. Thanks a lot.

message 327: by Karina (new)

Karina (karinargh) | 807 comments Aisha: I would like to read that one! Would you be okay with it as an october buddy read?

--

Ahem. I'm thinking of re-reading all 39 Discworld novels. While I realise this is a bit overwhelming - I figured I might as well mention it, if anyone should wish to tag along. :)

message 328: by AJ (new)

AJ (ame-less) | 65 comments American Gods by Neil Gaiman anyone?
