*NEW* Buddy Reads Introduction

I believe it was nominated but not confirmed. We'd have to check with Ashley, but I'm pretty sure we can have it as a buddy read for the time period you've suggested. I might be able to join you--this one looks interesting.

And as an FYI: our August buddy read theme is first in a series, and you're welcome to nominate this book for that as well. It would certainly fit.

I see the Mod thread now with the tentative list. Now I really remember why I'm so busy in July ;) So either/or, BR or 1st in series, would work for me in August.

How 'bout The Tea Rose for a BR, July 15-end of Aug? I can read it the 3rd week in July or the end of Aug, just how organized am I, lol?! I think there are 3-ish of us interested in a BR, and if by chance it gets thrown in as a first in series in Aug, double-bonus;)

This is getting funny... cuz now I see that several want to read The Dovekeepers and I was shooting for that in July as well. Ha, I think I have too many want-to-reads!

Haha, I understand. I have given up on making a list of books to read each month. I just read what I feel like at this point. Making lists is just too hard for such a moody reader like me, hahaha. I am planning on reading The Dovekeepers this week since I was supposed to read it last week for another group's challenge. I'm so far behind in my challenges I don't know if I will ever get caught up...still working on some challenges from May in another group!

Hmmm, I think we're on the same plan, lol! I started an "O" book tonite, for the June challenge, and I really wanted to read it! Truly, I should have rented a movie instead, and started A Discovery of Witches tomorrow. Oh well.

Let me know what you think! I check for it every time I'm at Half Priced Books. I'm obsessed with that era and am taking a class on it in the fall so I figured this book would be a good intro.

Hey! I'm wanting to read The Perks of Being a Wallflower before the movie comes out (I think the 21 of September is the release day). Would anyone like to read this with me in September? It'll be a reread for me but it is a great book and quick, definitely worth the read if you're even remotely interested. :)

Since we have 6 or 7 people wanting to read The Lies of Locke Lamora in October, I will be making that one a group buddy read.

I've got it updated on my list for October. :)
