Jane Reads | 297 comments This has been fun! Thanks to Judy and Janice and all of the participants!

My reading kinda fizzled at the end - I had to work the weekend. Pesky work.

message 353: by Amanda (new)

Amanda That was FUN!! :-)

The final tally isn't in yet. And since I dropped the ball on scoring multiple enchiladas, there will be some changes.

Pragya (reviewingshelf) | 4052 comments Wow, 2 and even 3 enchiladas? You guys are awesome.

Sadly, I couldn't stop by and chat as often as I would have liked. And I couldn't read as much as I wanted to. But I still had lots of fun.

And I think I need to find myself another accommodation. *sigh* I officially hate my roommate. I was adjusting with her about everything but she doesn't let me read and taunts me every single day about it. I can't take it anymore. :(

message 356: by Debra (new)

Debra (debra_t) | 6542 comments Sorry to hear about your roommate, Pragya. My husband, fortunately, is very understanding about my reading. I'm not as tolerant of his TV-watching, I'm afraid to say. I think it's rotting his brain. At least he plays some mind-stimulating computer games!

message 357: by Debra (new)

Debra (debra_t) | 6542 comments Judy and Janice. Thanks so much for all your work on this toppler. Keeping track of all the scores is not an easy job!

It's probably a good idea to move out before it gets worse. From what you've written, she sounds a bit self centered.

Thanks Debra. Kudos go to Judy because she did the lion's share of the work, and what an awesome Toppler she gave us!

Hang in there. It sux when alliterate people harass us book lovers. I get that a lot around here, too. None of my friends read (for fun). That is why I joined this awesome group! *heart* you all!

message 361: by Pragya (new)

Pragya (reviewingshelf) | 4052 comments Thank you Judy, Janice, Minty and Debra for your very kind words. I will try to adjust for sometime since the accommodation itself is very good. I hope she takes my *hints*. I don't want to be rude or impolite.

Thank you everyone. Having so many non-readers in my life and now almost an official reading-hater, I value and treasure all of you so much. Love you all. :)

message 362: by Snoozie Suzie (new)

Snoozie Suzie (snooziesuzie) | 937 comments I have just posted my final total on TOPPLERS. But I am confused re points so it may need checking. I got lost following what was worth what.

message 363: by Sue (new)

Sue Pragya, goodluck with your roommate. Too bad we can't all show up en masse to impress her with the number of book-loving friends you have and what she's missing (but then she'd probably think we were crazy).

I'm very lucky to have always been surrounded by other readers. So...happy reading to Minty and Pragya. We're always here.

It's bad enough that your horrible roommate doesn't understand what reading can do for us, but it's even worse that she disrespects you so much. I wonder if she's jealous of the joy you get out of reading (or would if she let you alone). I hope you find another place soon!

message 365: by Mintymedley (new)

Mintymedley | 60 comments <3 my reading friends

message 366: by Mintymedley (new)

Mintymedley | 60 comments That is a heart, by the way. I don't have less than three reading friends. lol

message 367: by Pragya (new)

Pragya (reviewingshelf) | 4052 comments Ha ha, Sue. I like your idea, too bad it isn't possible. ;)

Thank you, jaxnsmom. I think she may be jealous. :D

message 368: by Tajma (last edited Jun 20, 2012 07:36AM) (new)

Tajma WOO-HOO!!!! Go Topplers! Congrats, Tipplers on a nice comeback.

message 369: by Sue (new)

Sue I can't believe we all read (and drank) that much! Wow!

message 370: by Tajma (new)

Tajma I think I'm a little burnt out. :-)

message 371: by Kat (new)

Kat (katzombie) | 2478 comments Wow, that is amazing! That's some serious TBR toppling and I'm sure a tea farmer somewhere is benefiting ;)

message 372: by Sue (new)

Sue I didn't read at all on Sunday but I've begun again with my latest and most interesting. A bit more leisurely.

message 373: by Sam (new)

Sam (ecowitch) | 2363 comments Awesome scores everyone, and we'll get you next time Topplers mwhahahaha!!!

Worryingly my tea consumption seems to be remaining stable so maybe my work colleagues are right and I do drink more tea than average...but in my book that makes me the smart one!!!

message 374: by Cheryl (new)

Cheryl (cherylllr) YLTO members rock & rule, whether Tipplers or Topplers!

message 375: by jaxnsmom (new)

jaxnsmom | 8341 comments That's a lot of points. I wonder how tall the pile of books read would be - it would definitely topple over!

Amazing fun! I think it's going to take all the moderators' brain cells to top this :p

message 376: by Sue (new)

Sue I'm looking forward to what they think up next. It does seem that these topplers are getting more and more exciting and fun.

message 377: by Debra (new)

Debra (debra_t) | 6542 comments I look forward to the topplers almost as much as I enjoy looking forward to a day off from work, or a small vacation. I almost LIVE for them. I know, get a life, right?

message 378: by Cheryl (new)

Cheryl (cherylllr) Debra, the Topplers count as a vacation for me - I get to tell my family 'leave me alone, I have to read to get points for my team' - ;)

Sue, Debra we are doing our durndest to come up with something even as I post this message. I think we have.... Have you both checked out Janice's six month challenge? "

Yes, she's evil! lol
