I re-read The Man Who Fell in Love with the Moon by Tom Spanbauer. This is a novel featuring Shed, a half-Native American young man at the turn of the 20th century in Idaho. Much of the book features his search for his Native American roots and heritage. You can read more about this in the book description too.
