So, let me get this straight, if I start in May, I read from May's list? If I were to start in June, I'd read from June's list?
That is correct, Susan. Of course, you have your four (4) cards to play, which allows you some freedom.

Do I have to have read the others to follow along? Although i'm really funny about reading in order. Going to quickly see how long they are and if I could catch up.
Oh, I would definitely say you have to read them in order, Elishia. I'm not a BIG stickler for sticking to a series' order, just a little one, but in this case, yes.It is alright, we are all on different books in the In Death series!

Think I would have given in and read them in order anyway it would have bugged me to much. Just got the first 4 so hopefully I like them.

Yes! We LOVE this thread, so we’ve built a yearly challenge around it.
Rules: Read one book a month from the corresponding months listed below, for a total of twelve months. Re-reads are fine, if it has been six months since you read them (and you don't skim!). Also, audiobooks count, too.
The Cards You Are Dealt
For the year you have two *WILD* cards, one *ACE-Author* up your sleeve, and one *JOKER*.
A *WILD* card allows you to pick from any month posted. So, if you didn't like anything from the selection of a particular month, you can choose one book from any of the other months. Again, you have two (2) of these.
An *ACE-Author** allows you to choose an author featured in the month you're selecting and read anything written by them. You have one (1) of these.
A *JOKER* allows you to read any book in the series of a Favorite Book posted for that month. You have one (1) of these.
ADDED September 12, 2012
A *MAKE-UP MONTH* allows you to skip a month and make-up it up the next month by reading two books from that month's selection. You have two (2) of these. Luckily, you can use it in advance. Meaning, if you know next month is going to be rough, you can use it and read two books.
Levels:Duration: A year from your start date.
The books for each month are listed alphabetically from the archives of Gigi’s Favorite Read of the Month , so you will see some books repeated, if they were mentioned again in later months, giving you another shot at them. April’s will be posted as soon as it is complete. Use the hyperlink to review the books before then, if you desire.

You do NOT need to use these smaller images, if you don't want to. However, here are the html codes to copy, if you want to put them in your challenge when you use them. Just copy & paste.
