It could be fun to buddy read Pride and Prejudice, one of my all-time favorites, or maybe Blue Dahlia or Slave to Sensation or The Scorpio Races. Or we could read Naked in Death if you get to it.

This is a very interesting list with a lot to choose from....I actually can't decide which to read yet. It's between Freakonomics: A Rogue Economist Explores the Hidden Side of Everything, Demon from the Dark, Rock Me, and Victorious Star. I'll let you know which one I choose when I make up my mind :)
Thanks again!

Thanks for the recs. They all sound really good. I think I will start with Forbiden Falls, and then Pleasure Unbound, and if I have time Something About you. If only there were more time in the day for reading!

Thanks for the Recs. I think I'll start with
Secrets of Bella Terra. Time permitting, I hope to read For Whom the Bell Tolls. That book has been sitting on my shelf unread for over 5 years.

I'm sorry I haven't got your pics yet! I haven't had access to a computer lately! I will try to get them up tonight when I get back from a baseball game/dinner.
Sorry for the delay!!!!

Cool. let me know.

May is Loyalty Month - rec a book that is from a favorite author or series you love
Touched by an Alien by Gini Koch - I fell in love with Kitty and company the minute I opened this book. It’s a great start to one of my favorite series.
Mr. Perfect by Linda Howard - Linda Howard is one of my favorite authors and this book is just the right mix of romance, suspense and humor.
May is Graduation Time - rec a YA book
Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr - It’s been a while, but I enjoyed reading it. I still intend to continue this series at some point.
Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver - I didn’t see this on your shelves, but I really enjoyed this book. To be fair, Samantha is not a particularly likeable character, but the story itself drew me in and I starting rooting for her to change and start making better decisions.
International Space Day, May 4 - rec a book that is set in an alternate universe
Kushiel's Dart by Jacqueline Carey - I fell in love with many of the characters and the court intrigue was wonderfully plotted. From one of my all-time favorite series, this book put Carey at the top of my to-buy list. I’m interested to see what she does with her upcoming UF book.
The Breaker's Concubine by Ann Mayburn - I’ve not read any of Mayburn’s books but this looked really interesting.
Join Hands Day, May 4 - rec an author your pickee hasn't read before or a genre your pickee normally doesn't read
Victorious Star by Morgan Hawke - I didn’t see Hawke anywhere on your shelves, but I definitely think this book would fit right in on your shelves.
Blackmailed by Annmarie McKenna - Another author I enjoy. The set-up may be a little convoluted and out there, but Cole and Tyler more than make up for it.
Tourist Appreciation Day, May 6 - rec a book that is set in a place you've visited or somewhere you'd like to visit
I’ve always wanted to go to Scotland!
Ransom by Julie Garwood - Garwood’s one of my comfort read authors and I’ve reread her historicals multiple times.
Blood Faerie by India Drummond - This book looked really interesting even though I’ve not read it myself.
National Teacher Day, May 8 - rec a nonfiction book that you enjoyed or a classic
The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot - A very interesting book that blends the science of cellular research with the story of the woman it was based on.
A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court by Mark Twain - A wonderful time-travel classic.
Armed Forces Day, May 18 - since being in the armed services can be scary, pick a book that is a thriller or scary, or pick a book that is a military or special ops series
Whispers in the Dark by Maya Banks - Some people didn’t like the fact that Banks suddenly threw paranormal elements into a world that was previously free of them. I didn’t mind and can’t wait for Rio’s story in the next book.
Beneath the Neon Moon by Theda Black - This makes me wish I had an e-reader. I’d really like to read this book myself.
Maritime Day, May 22 - pick a book that would be a great beach read
Laid Bare by Lauren Dane - I read this recently and fell in love with the Brown siblings. I’m definitely going to buy the next book in this series.
Glass Slipper by Abigail Barnette - I haven’t read this author, but fairy tale retellings are some of my favorite stories.
Buddy Reads:
Clean Up Your Room Day, May 10 - rec a book that is one of the oldest on your pickees TBR list that you'd like to read as well
Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia or Love Slave for Two by Tymber Dalton
I don’t own either of these books, but I’ve seen good things about both. Let me know if you’re interested and I’ll see if I can find a copy of one of them.
Chocolate Chip day, May 15 - Pick a book with a yummy cover

I'm so excited you are picking for me again! haha! I am for sure reading
Seduce Me at Sunrise. I ran out and bought this book after reading the first one. Don't worry about the buddy read! I have lots of school stuff, too.

Awesome pics Daffodil, thanks! You did just what I hoped you would and choose from my overflowing lists that I'm trying to widdle down. But what did I go and choose to read??? A book that, til about 5 mins ago, I didn't own. I just went over to Fictionwise.com, used the discount code and bought Victorious Star for less than five bucks :) It looks good, thanks!

I hope you like the picks! Let me know if you want me to change any of them :)
May is Loyalty Month: Dark Needs at Night's Edge This is one of my favorite series.
May is Graduation Time: Flat-Out Love, Beautiful Disaster I loved both of these
International Space Day: Claimed
Join Hands Day: Mine Till Midnight I didn't see any Lisa Kleypas on your read list, but I did see it on your TBR list. She's an awesome author.
The Savage King I didn't see any Michelle Pillow on your lists either, but from what I did see I think you'll enjoy this series of hers.
Tourist Appreciation Day: Dragon Down Under, Outlander I would love to visit Australia and Scotland one day
National Teacher Day: I, Claudius, Go Ask Alice not sure if these two are classics but they should be haha
Armed Forces Day: Lie With Me
Maritime Day: Attachments, Eternal Rider Both are good, fun reads.
Buddy Read: I won't be able to do a buddy read book til the middle May. I have finals :-/
Clean Up Your Room Day: Red Mortal
Chocolate Chip Day: Devil Without a Cause

I really liked that one, Fran. It's super steamy but there's a really interesting plot.

The 7th it is, then and we can read Forged in Fire. I'll open a thread!

I definitely want to read Dark Needs at Night's Edge. And I'm thinking this just might be the month I finally try Lisa Kleypas. (I've been looking for an author whose name starts with 'L' for another monthly challenge, so thank you!)
I've got a bunch of other buddy reads already lined up for this month, so I'll have to see what else I can squeeze in between them. Let's get in touch after the middle of the month and see if either of us have time for a buddy read toward the end of the month.
Thanks again!
