I really like them both too, but my favorite is absolutely Zsadist... I just can't stop loving him!

I really..."
I know what you mean. His story is so heart breaking and I also think Bella is just perfect for him. I have to say that I don't like all the females in BDB. Mary was a bore, Doc Jane was just too weird, and don't even get me started on Layla.

I liked Rhage but I just didn't like Mary that much. She was boring to me. I guess I'm not really fond of quiet strength in female characters. To be honest, there isn't one single brother that I disliked.

I'm so glad to know I'm not by myself! I couldn't connect with Phury/Cormia either...I did like Payne/Manny though.

Yeah but it felt more like Vishous' story part 2 instead of a Manny/Payne book...And what did you think about the reveal about Manny? What about Butch's scene with Vishous?
LOL...Maybe if Phury/Cormia were like a novella? I can't wait for Tohrment's book on 3/27

LOL, that's how I feel, but I can't stop reading.

13 days and counting...Although I'll get the ebook first (so I can read it on the go) and then get the paperback when it comes out later in the year since the other ones I have are all paperback...

Totally agree with you on the novella thing! Butch and Vishous both build me up, tear me down, crack me up and leave me panting for more! It doesn't really matter what they're doing..if they're on the page then I'm devouring that book like there's no tomorrow. I do see what you mean about the Manny/Payne book but for some reason Manny has been a favorite of mine since he first was introduced.

I love them too and I want a book all about them! =)

Yeah but I loved that she could absolutely girlish for John Matthew especially at their mating (I mean I don't know who else could have gotten her to want to wear a dress)...I like that she's tough to me it means that if John Matthew were in trouble, she would be the first one to line up to get him out instead of waiting at home like a proper Shellan besides John Matthew needs someone tough after craptastic life after his after-life life (<--that's a mouthful LOL)

It would be nice but somehow I don't think she will be doing a full book on them (I don't think the rest of the world is ready for that yet) plus she has to figure out where the one chick with Qhuinn (I forget her name) will fit in & the vision Qhuinn had of their kid...But it would be nice to know exactly where she's taking them & how she's gonna end the series w/o giving us another "Lover Enshrined" along the way...

I like that Manny could hold his own with them just like a certain other character (hmmm coincidence maybe?) but I wasn't a big fan of Payne (in Lover Mine & Lover Avenged yeah) but it seemed in her book she was like another Marissa(who I didn't like during the middle of Butch's book..ugh her attitude) and I thought she was suppose to be way wayyyy tougher than that not whiny & weak-willed (maybe it's just me)...Although I do want to know about Butch's real dad & how exactly he's related to Wrath (I get the cousin thing but I wanna more details)

Try the dark hunters series by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Thanks

Does it have to be Urban Fantasy? Cause I know a series whose sex scenes are pretty erotic...

Nope. It can be anything.

Yeah I see where you're coming from. I wish the world was ready. I sure am! In the book series I'm writing their might be a couple gay couples and I'm going to try to put a lot into that even though the story's not about them.

Actually, gay couples are hot! They know what the other wants

Then you should read Lora Leigh's Tempting Seals:

@Heather & Kimi: Unfortunately some people don't have open minds about books featuring or starring gay couples. But maybe J.R. Ward might say screw it and go for it?

Girl I know right. U know who else I like? Magnus and Alec from Mortal Instruments! =)

I hope she does go for it.

I introduced a friend to the BDB recently and it has been great reliving them through her novice eyes. She sometimes has problems remembering names and even refers to the series as The Black and Decker Brothers XD Personally, I can hardly wait for the new book but also want it not to be a repeat of Lover Enshrined or Lover Unleashed--Phury deserved a much better story... and I wanted so much more from our Unleashed lovers. *sigh*

Some might say that the Midnight Breed is similar. I think if you put BDB in a bowl and add a lot of sugar plus a lot of cliches and eye-rolling moments you get Midnight Breed.

It was so terrible! And when John Matthew cried out! He's been through so much!

Personally I really liked Phury's story. He was a very much unsung hero/savior. And not til the end did he finally have redeemption. Unlike the others that had been running from being who they really are/stripped of who they were meant to be(Wrath as King, Vishous as the intended Primale, Zsadist as the first born son of a noble family that was to inherit and take over their family home, JM/Darius being killed before getting to know and look after the daughter he just discovered). Did he have a weakness with drugs? Yes, but he worked through that. Was his shellan less than stellar? I would say sort of but in her own way she had her own quiet inner strength from the world she was born into. Couldn't really ask for more than that. I mean respectively speaking we saw what our world could produce by way of strong female characters in Beth the reporter and Jane the surgeon. But in such a highly traditional world as theirs the females have a different kind of strength. Kind of like how women back in the old victorian days and what not had quiet strength when they were born in certain roles and status. And overall I really liked how in Phury's story that throughout it all, he has always been one to be there for his family and protect, save, and love them more than they do themselves. Even though I particularly found Zsadist annoying as hell for being so damn ungrateful for being saved. As Phury truly didn't HAVE to do that at all. He didn't have to keep tracking him down and being seen as the useless spare twin that his parents thought he was. He could have left the old country altogether and never looked back, became his own vampire and made a new name for himself and cut his losses. But he never did that. He saw things through from start to finish with Zsadist from his rescue to him finding love with Bella. Even though so much of his own life was left on pause for his brother. Even more so when he took over for Vishous as the Primale. And when Cormia came along, she might not have been who he originally wanted. But in a sense by coming from the world of that she did, she brought a new purpose and way of being a worthwhile and respected savior/leader to Phury that being a brother, having a brother, and his own choices never had before. Looking after the choosen had given him a fresh start and made him reborn to me in a way I don't think the other brothers will ever have. Now THAT is why I liked Lover Enshrined.
Some bits of Lover Unleashed was ok. But I really wish Ward would get over so many sub plots that choke out the main couple's story line. I get she wants to cover all bases. But from here on out I would love nothing more than to see the main couple and a sub plot on the Qhuay front. No more side stories about ghost hunting, or Mhurder sleeping with human women for kicks and giggles. No more over hashing about other brothers if it is not something major. And for once I want Wrath to freaking step up properly as the king!
