This anthology contains 3 novellas that, one way or another, involve the hero rescuing the heroine from a dangerous situation. Besides the common premise, there isn't any connection between the stories, so you can read them in any order.

Tropical Heat by Cherry Adair (3 stars)
Sam Pelton has been in love with Dr. Elizabeth Goodall since he met her 2 years ago, but she was in the middle of getting divorced from her cheating husband so he stayed away. Sam doesn't want to be Beth's "transitional love

Whew, my fingers are still smoking!! "Rescue Me" is one fiery hot anthology. This is one you won't want to miss.

"Tropical Heat" by Cherry Adair. Elizabeth is mistaken for a famous plastic surgeon and kidnapped by South American terrorists to give their 'most-wanted' torturer a new face. The last thing she expects is local teacher Sam to turn up to rescue her. Lucky, lucky her. Not just because Sam is mega-hot, but also because he's retired Special Ops and his teaching job is for spec op weaponry

This little book packed a wallop of a punch. Three neat short stories--all romantic suspense, modern and action packed:

1. Tropical Heat by Cherry Adair (Story/Book #12 in her TFLAC series) was my favorite in this trio. 5 Stars. Neat characters, nicely written and HOT.

2. Atlanta Heat by Lora Leigh (Story/Book #6 in her Tempting SEALs series) was more on the erotic side of HOT. 3 Stars. This one has Nathon Malone (from earlier books) up and participating in this rescue mission, so I'm thinking we
3 ½ stars – Romantic Suspense Anthology

Tropical Heat by Cherry Adair – 3 ½+ stars – Steamy jungle lovin'!

Atlanta Heat by Lora Leigh – 2 ½ stars – It was just okay.

Desert Heat by Cindy Gerard – 3-3 ½ stars – My least favorite CG read, but still a hot, intense survivor story.

I think that averages about 3, but I'm bumping my rating to 3 ½ stars for the Cherry Adair and Cindy Gerard novellas.

NOTE: this review is for Lora Leigh's novella only...I haven't yet read the others.

I'm kinda of two thoughts on Leigh's novella...thinking of it as just a simple short story, I enjoyed it. But if I take into consideration that it was part of a series, I was disappointed. For several books, readers got to know Macey...he got a fair amount of face time in several books. And I was looking forward to reading His story...but to see it shoved into about 110pages...well, it didn't really work for me. I

Desert Heat by Cindy Gerard

I love Cindy Gerard and this novella is just wonderful, great H/h, Grand Canyon location, and MacGyver solutions. All elements that make a great story. This is a novella and has a lot packed in a small page count.

Elena Martinez is an ADA in Flagstaff, Arizona and has made some enemies and not made many friends in the police department. As part of a benefit fundraiser Grand Canyon hike and scavenger hunt she is paired with not a friend, Seth King, a Flagstaff detective
A rescue mission turns steamy in Cherry Adair's Tropical Heat as counter-terrorist operative Sam Pelton hustles a small-town GP from the military/terrorist through the thick African jungle.
This was a pretty straightforward RS novella...Boy likes girl, but said girl is going through a divorce, so boy hangs back in fear of being the rebound lover, but when girl gets kidnapped, boy doesn't hesitate in taking a trip into the middle of Africa to rescue her and win her heart in the progress...Nothing

I am usually not a fan of anthologies but I dug this one. I love Cherry Adair, very much enjoy Lora Leigh and the last author's story was really good too. It may have been the best one but I can't recall the author's name. lol

I do not usually like all the stories in an anthology . This book is the exception . All three stories are awesome.

Not sure how to rate since I didn't care for the first two stories, however, the last one by Cindy Gerard I would rate with 5 stars.

OK, I got and read this book mainly for Lora Leigh's "Atlanta Heat" which is the last story in her "Tempting Navy SEALs" series. Which is the first story I read out of it.

I was a bit disappointed with this short story/novella because I was really looking forward to Macey March's story and I think she did it a disservice by making it a short one.. The writing seemed a bit rushed with no buildup. I would have to say it's my least favorite in this series! :-(

Now I did read the other two stories Che

I actually read all the stories! An achievement for me lately.

In Tropical Heat, you have a teacher who is a government spy and a doctor who wants to truly live her life with adventure. Dr. Elizabeth really should have paid attention when Sam said don't go to a war torn country for a doctor conference but the lovely doctor is sick of being bored. What I really enjoyed in this novella is the doctor perseverance, she holds it together when the rest of us would have died. And the hero stays focused

This is Mason "Masey" March's HEA story. Masey is the ultimate bad boy of the Durango Team. He doesn't handle authority well and that is why he is still Lieutenant. He is a pain in Admiral Hollaran's side. He is also after the Admiral's goddaughter Emerson Delaney. He knows that she is way out of his league but his heart is set on keeping her forever. Masey is a nerd and a Navy SEAL. He is big and strong and tough. He is also stubborn and loyal to a fault as we have see
Great Anthology and well both the money!

1st Story: I like Cherry Adair and have read most of her T-Flac series. I got bored with the last couple so haven't kept up with the latest going ons, but this short story was really good and makes me think that maybe I need to re-think and order the last couple books I don't currently own.

2nd Story: I honestly got this book because I wanted to read the continuing series by Lora Leigh (I have read just about all of her books and love them all) and I must

Collection of 3 romantic suspense novellas, only OK for me. 3 stars to the 3rd story, Desert Heat by Cindy Gerard. This was a stand-alone story, D.A./cop on the run from bad guys. Decent story, unrealistic rushing/progression of the romance. 2.5 stars to the 1st story, Tropical Heat by Cherry Adair. Apparently this goes with her T-Flac series, and since I have not read any of those, I was a bit lost with character background. Liked the guy, didn't like the girl. Maybe if a guy you know shows up ...more
Three books in one: Tropical Heat (Cherry Adair)
This was my first Cherry Adair read. It inspired me to read the rest of the T-FLAC series. It was fast paced and hot!

Atlanta Heat (Lora Leigh)
Another in the Tempting SEALs series. I liked it more than some of the others. Probably because it was short and fast paced. The others in the series sometimes felt like they were dragging and I got annoyed with the heroes. Macey finally gets the girl in this one.

Okay...I saw this one many times at the store, but opted for another book every time...then I find it at the used book store where I have like a million credits.

I, of course, read the Lora Leigh story first. It was very similar to another story a read awhile ago by some other author (I think, blending shorts together can be a problem)...but I still really liked the forbidden fruit theme on the military love (i.e. Commanders daughter, god-daughter...yadda yadda).

Okay 1st story "Tropical Heat" gets 4 stars! Loved Sam & Beth together. 2nd story, "Atlanta Heat" AWESOME. Gets 4 stars. Emerson & Macey were white hot together, this short story was executed perfectly. The last story "Desert Heat" I give 4.5 stars. Elena & Seth were off the chain, their story in my opinion had the best intrigued when it came to the bad guys involved, and they had the sweetest, sexiest, and most hilarious ending to me out of all the stories. Over all I give this book 4.5 STARS. ...more

Always on the lookout for a great romantic suspense, I read "Rescue Me" -- three novellas in one book by Cherry Adair, Lora Leigh and Cindy Gerard -- to get a feel for each author and to see if I'd be interested in reading more.

In a nutshell, I found Cindy Gerard's story to be the strongest of the three as far as plot and characterization are concerned. Four stars. Lora Leigh's offering was good, though I had a hard time buying into a 12-foot gun-sniffing pet anaconda that could roam free throug

Normally I'm not a big fan of anthologies. I'll buy them if one or more of the authors are on my "always read their books" list, but I normally end up only liking one or two of the stories and not caring for the others. That was not the case with this anthology. I loved it.

Every story was fantastic and made me want a 400 page novel instead of the short stories that I got. I picked the book up because it had a story from Cindy Gerard but I ended up loving all three stories. It even made me start

Cherry Adair - TFLAC series, "Tropical Heat"

I liked it! My first Adair read, glad I have a stack of TFLAC books on the way from a friend.

Lora Leigh - Tempting SEALS series, "Atlanta Heat"

No one, but no one, writes hot sexy scenes like Lora Leigh! Damn, she outdid herself with this one *fans self*. Her books should come with oven mitts and a fire extinguisher. Hoping to get to her SEALS series soon, after catching up on her Breeds & Men of August series.

Being a big fan of Ms. Leigh's Tempting Seals series, I couldn't wait to get my hands on a copy of RESCUE ME so I could read Macey's story in "Atlanta Heat." Cherry Adair and Cindy Gerard are both new authors to me, so I enjoyed getting a taste of their writing with their stories "Tropical Heat" and "Desert Heat." Now I have 2 more authors to add to my list of favorites and I'm looking forward to reading more of their work. All three stories deliver plenty of action, suspense and HEATed romance. ...more

Overall, this book is a quick read that is fun and sexy. The men are burly men's men and the women are fairly strong in their own right. The stories are action packed filled with danger and peril - a fun read.

Adair's Tropical Heat was my favorite for characters and plot with some good sex thrown in.

Leigh's Atlanta Heat had the best sexy scenes, but I didn't like the female character as much. She was redundant to me.

Gerard's Desert Heat was the most exciting in terms of peril and danger but the

Three authors..three short stories.

Story 1: is a take off of the T-Flac series I've read. It was a pretty good short story with the same guns/terrorist/ love story stuff. Good plot for a short story and nothing seemed rushed

Story 2: FILTHY!! It was dirty. Dirty in the "its 2 am, I'm working alone and i feel uncomfortable reading this" dirty. At one point I half expected a little elf to jump out the book, demand my ID and $.99 a min.

Story 3: Stupid...Lame. I wanted to punch the useless female.

#1 Cherry Adair's Tropical Heat - A great story about special elite solider saving a doctor that has been kidnapped by a terrorist so she can perform plastic surgery.
#2 Lora Leigh's Atlanta Heat - A very sexy story about a tough Navy Seal and the sweet little Admiral's goddaughter that he needs to rescue from the bad guys.
#3 Cindy Gerard's Desert Heat - A scavenger hunt in the canyon brings a sexy assistant DA and a Flagstaff police detective together for some fun until some killers come looking

An excellent trilogy of three short stories of alpha males rescuing their mates. A wonderful way to spend a few days. I enjoyed reading two new authors, Cherry Adair, "Tropical Heat" and Cindy Gerard, "Desert Heat". Although the last Navy SEAL installment, "Atlanta Heat" by Lora Leigh was luscious, I wish she would have devoted a novel to Macey March. You will not be disappointed with this one.
