Hannah's Luck by Lora Leigh is an offshoot of the book Wild Card and features 37-year-old widower Sheriff Rick Grayson. In "Wild Card", his faithless wife Sienna was involved with the Black Collar Militia--a white supremicist group that targeted Mexican illegal aliens. Rick feels all kinds of guilt that she played him and used info from his office to keep her group and its activities ali ...more
Hannah’s Luck is a pretty typical, formulaic story by Lora Leigh...with a cold, gruff, horny alpha cop frustrated by his rampant lust for a sweet kindergarten teacher, so he treats her like crap and pushes her away. But then of course, when burglars break in and vandalize her home, he comes charging to the rescue and after one explosive kiss demands her total submission. This is a verrry hot, borderline erotic, story, which I love, but the hero was a jerk and ...more

Hannah’s Luck by Lora Leigh
Two years ago, Rick Greyson’s wife was murdered, but he didn’t shed any tears. His wife was mixed up in a terrorist drug group and Rick is just thankful his son made it out alive. He has kept to himself since, concentrating on his son and his job as sheriff. He has always had an eye on Hanna Brookes, even when he was married. Hannah is a Kindergarten teacher living by he ...more
1. Hannah's Luck by Lora Leigh (Wounded Warriors, #2) was a neat short story centering on Sheriff Rick Grayson (originally in Wild Card (Elite Ops, #1) as a supporting character. Rick's wife, Sienna, was involved in the Black Collar Militia (BCM) and was killed. I can't remember if Hannah was first introduced in an earlier book, but she was the Kindergarten teacher of Rick and Sienna's son, Kent.

Leigh's website says this is the 2nd book in her "Wounded Warriors" series, connected in theme, I think, to a novella she released last year. But it has a greater connection to her "Tempting SEALs/Elite Ops" series. This novella has a pretty direct connection to Wild Card (Elite Ops #1). It ...more

It was my first time reading Red Garnier and I thought this was a sweet story. I would read more by this author. 4 stars
It was also my first time reading Lorie O'Clare and I thought this short story was very rushed. I think I would have liked it more if it had been a full length novel. Yes, the hero was super alpha, but I love stories with dominan ...more
Podría haberse expandido más en el conflicto, alguna interacción de la maestra de kinder con el hijo del sheriff y definitivamente faltó un poco mucho más de drama.
To bad...so sad....

This story was a pleasant surprise and welcomed treat. I didn't think that we would get to see Rick Grayson get a HEA after the betrayal of his wife in Wild Card. I guess the story wasn't quite finished though. I like the character of Rick Grayson. He is a private,, honorable, and compassionate man. He was faithful to his wife and he loves his son. I would have like to know why Sienna married Rick it was obvious that she didn't love him or their son. So what was the appeal ...more
I Grant's case this was not a plus, she spent a great deal of time at the start of the story with the singing diva leading lady's leechy siblings and with the leading man's friends family. I had a hard time wading though the muddle of all of this side business in the story and gave up befo ...more
Lora Leigh did her usual. I'm not familiar with the characters so I may not have read the books they previously appeared in. Of all the suspenseful elements, hers was the out of left field one for me. Strange culprit I guess. I think I prefer her Breed stories over any of her other series.

Red Garnier’s Reckless and Yours had me near tears the whole way through. The story itself had a great mystery but the real page-turner is the couple. Emotionally gripping beyond reasoning, I just couldn’t put it down. I think this may have been my favorite of the four.
