That was under the original system that Cynthia used. In that one, the finishers' task started at 25, then if more than 10 people finished, the earlier finishes got moved into a 30 point category and so on.

That makes perfect sense to me, but I just wanted to point out that the current "Rewards of the Challenge" document (the one that's starred) in the rules section still says the following:

6. THE 30/35 POINT TASKS – Players who complete the challenge before the scheduled date for posting the new 5/10/15 point tasks get the opportunity to create a 30/35 point task for the next challenge. If more than 10 players finish this early, the last 10 will create 30 point tasks and the earliest players will create 35 point tasks.
NOTE: If no one completes a challenge there will not be any 30/35 point tasks in the next challenge.

Might be time for an update. :)

I can't even imagine how complex it must be. I deal with lots of spreadsheets in my job, but I'm sure that yours could probably teach me a thing or two!

message 1748: by Sheila (new)

Sheila (sheilaj) | 2221 comments Believe me Sandy we appreciate it. From my side of things it would be a major pain to have to renumber and cut and paste tasks in my excel list of tasks. I thought the way the 25 point tasks were done during spring was a great way to do it.

30.11, or 30.12 would be fine. Definitely the way to go.

Cherie (cheriereads) @Sheila and Anne: I am absolutely looking forward to the Summer challenge! I debated about waiting to start until then but I was curious how many things I had read for this season would actually fit a challenge. I was surprised I had so many.

Next season should be really fun!
