Sookie Stackhouse is an old favorite of mine...but the last couple of books haven't had that "something" for me. I'm not even sure what was missing (could have just been MY mood), but this one hit it for me.
It's unimaginable that there would be no snags in Sookie's life for any length of time, and there were a
I'm dying to read the next installment to find out what will happen with Eric (biting my tongue to keep from adding any spoilers....pre-order, but also scanning to try and get the e-book from the library earlier...GOTTA KNOW!)...and hoping Sam will find a new GF....

I'm glad to hear it. I scored the remaining books on BD for under $5 each (except for 1). I really love the series and I told my husband that we should go to Vegas soon....

Found (The Vampire Journals)
By: Morgan Rice
***** 5+ stars, completed April 18, 2012
Morgan has done it again! Another amazing book in the Vampire Journals series.
Don't want to give to much away with this review, which will be hard as I loved it so much! The final novel in the series contained our favorite characters, lots of action, beautiful scene description and just the right amount of emotion and romance.
This novel continues where Caitlin left off in the previous book and I don't know how she comes up with such interesting ideas for the characters, environment and their interactions. We find our heroes battling the evil forces that they have had to deal with throughout the series. Lives are lost, answers are found and Caitlin finally realizes her true destiny.
Morgan also includes the 2 first chapters of "Resurrected" the follow-up series to the Vampire Journals. After reading those, I absolutely can't wait for the new series. It seems even more intense than the "Journals" series.
All I can say is if you haven't read this series yet, grab it as fast as you can, you won't be disappointed.
This is by far my favorite series out there and Morgan continues to prove why she is my favorite author.

Book 3 of Rachel Caine's Weather Wardens series finds Jo and David on a road trip to Vegas to find Kevin and Jonathan. The weather systems along the way give new meaning to road rage and Jo and David pull off at a Holiday Inn for shelter. Jo starts getting a deja vu feeling and realizes that she had stayed at this particular Holiday Inn 6 years earlier.
Meanwhile Kevin and Jonathan are preventing the Weather Wardens from entering Las Vegas. Clever Lewis finds a loophole and Jo is sent to Vegas. Jo has some hairy moments involving hanging out of a highrise hotel window courtesy of Jonathan. Jo is rescued by Quinn who takes her to meet his masters over at the Luxor.
I'm loving this series so far. Djinn, weather control, the aetheric - all so cool. I like Jo - she has a great sense of humor, the right amount of snarkiness, and she doesn't give up. Looking forward to the next book.
