Librarians volunteering language skills: The Volunteer Thread

Nihonjoe, are you fluent or are you handling more basic work?

I'll put you down as intermediate, then. Thanks for clarifying (and for volunteering)!

Russian - fluent (it's my second mother tongue, but I've got problems writing correctly)
French - fluent
Chinese - intermediate

Could I get you to help me with a couple of books? I have them listed in the following thread...

Any help you can give would be much appreciated!

Frisian: Intermediate

I can deal with the Bulgarian and the Hungarian lists.
Thanks!"
Lyu, would you like your proficiency listed as "basic" or "fluent"?

I also read in French and Spanish but wouldn't be comfortable listing my knowledge in those languages as anything more than "basic"...

French: basic (mostly with the dictionary)
Ukrainian: intermediate
Latin: basic
Also I know at least 3 imaginative languages and can be silent in nearly any language at all ;)

Spanish - basic
Italian - less than basic, because i really don't speak or write in Italian, but i'm able to understand
and English - fleunt
i can do something with German, but have very low expectations
