Librarians volunteering language skills: The Volunteer Thread

Whichever you feel more comfortable, I think. I suggest a new topic in this folder, if you're posting here.

French: Very Basic
Sundanese (indonesian tribe): Basic
Javanese (indonesian tribe): Basic

I've taken German and Latin classes, but, well, those two definitely didn't take... I can also sort of piece out some very basic Japanese (because of the kanji).

EDIT: Nevermind on translating that title. The book cover had that information so I combined it accordingly, but we should still probably add Lithuanian to the list. :D

Currently learning Lakota (Just started).
Hi! I just got my librarian status.
I am hungarian, and I already have experience in translating between hungarian and english. In the case of english-to-hungarian, I used to literary translate poems and other shorter texts, and at the moment I am working on technical translation of old horse-related books into hungarian.
I am glad if I can help Goodreads. Nowadays when the act of reading books is not "trendy" anymore, such a site is very refreshing. :)
Keep your eye on the other threads in this folder for requests for help with specific languages.

I'm fluent in Portuguese (it's my mother tongue). I asked to become a librarian just so I could help edit books published in Brazil.
