And I still have not quite forgotten my compulsory Latin...
While at that, I have a question to ask. There are Goodreads Authors, but what about Goodreads Translators?

I have not explored this site thoroughly as yet, so I`m not sure whether this applies or not...
Lots of books translated by me have been published, but those do not matter, as none of them is written by a Goodreads Author; moreover, the authors in question need no promoting, they are well-known as it is. What I mean is less known yet interesting Goodreads authors, like, say, Ahmad Amani.
I find the funny books of his well worth translating and promoting. So I translated a couple into LT ( http://readaholicme.weebly.com/my-gra... , http://readaholicme.weebly.com/big-fi... ) and RU ( http://readaholicme.weebly.com/my-gra... ), and, with the kind permission from the Author, shared the translations on my tiny Readaholic website. Only that`s too tiny...
I mean, is there a place here for things like that? So that translators (I`m sure quite a few members here are translators) might "promote" works by Goodreads Authors they like by translating and sharing excerpts of the books they like and deem worth translating? It has to be but excerpts, as translations of this kind should be done gratis, and the time a translator can donate is limited...
Thanks again!

They don't have to be. A translator of any author can claim their profile. This one could, for instance: https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...
As for informal translations, as long as you don't exceed fair use limitations, you could add those to your writing section. But there is no official place on Goodreads those could be added.
If you wish to discuss this further, please start a new thread in this folder.

Lately I have seen that there are not some of the editions of my favorite books in Spanish, I would like to contribute to goodreads by adding the books to the catalogue.
My english is not so fluent.

French basic
I always change the description of a book from english or other languages into german if i see it on details.
It makes me crazy to see incomplete or false detsils.
