It's AWESOME!! Definitely my favorite PNR series too.

Why are you apprehensive? If it's the cover, please don't look at it! It sucks!

Christine | 955 comments ECHO wrote: "This is one of those series that I'm apprehensive about reading, I love everything PNR, UF and all the other stuff ... is it really that good? "

I held off reading this series for months, I'll confess, because of the titles and some of the covers. But don't let that fool you if it's the reason you hesitate. For me, Nalini Singh has a real gift for letting you feel what the characters are feeling rather than just telling you. Plus, she has created a truly unique world. She manages to combine urban fantasy, paranormal romance, and a little bit sci-fi. I've been trying to encourage everyone I can to check her series out.

Ana | 72 comments I've finished Maya Bank's "In bed with a Highlander". Have to say it was just a 3 star for me. I guess I'm just not really into this medieval "you have to obey me 'cause I'm your laird".

Megan (teenqueen) | 58 comments Pam, I ordered The Adoration of Jenna Fox and I and it arrived today! I love the cover and am really looking forward to reading it, but unfortunately, that probably won't be until early next week, or if I get ahead of schedule then it might even be this weekend.

message 465: by Penney (new)

Penney (pschoener) | 3553 comments Hi Yz! I also finished In Bed with a Highlander today but it was more of a 3.5-push-it-up-to-4 star read for me. It was a totally unrealistic and not very original, but I still love that Lord and Master stuff. It's one of my guilty pleasures. I'll definitely read #2 in the series, in fact I'm looking forward to it. Thanks Yz!

Hmm...I'm supposed to read that next week, but your comment is giving me second thoughts. Maybe I should see if I can unearth her 'Sweet' series from my boxes. Christine | 955 comments Isabella,

I don't know if you remember but back in November's PIFM you recommended The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern to me. I put a hold request in at the library way back then and it only took two months to finally get a copy. I picked it up yesterday and started reading last night.

Rebecca (bexsi) | 812 comments I finished The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini today and gave it 3 stars

message 478: by [deleted user] (new)

Regina P,

I finished Divergent by Veronica Roth on [1/5/2012] and I am giving it full five stars (oh, what a surprise haha). It started somehow slow for me but as soon as the initiations started I was so drawn into the book that I simply couldn't stop reading. It was amazing. I loved Four and I loved Tris, I loved will and Christina and the storyline is beyond epic and I CAN'T WAIT FOR INSURGENT!

I will try to read some more books that you suggested for me, hopefully I can manage to squeeze in at least one more (if the time will allow me). (:

Thank you for this great rec!

Nici (queennici102) | 62 comments i finished The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie and give it four stars. I really enjoyed the character development and the dialog. Iris (ipro) | 277 comments Finished Noble Destiny. I love Katie MacAlister and the way her characters are equal parts funny andat being said, I finished this and didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. The characters were funny and the story was romantic, however, the heroine started getting annoying after a while. So although I did enjoy reading this, I enjoyed Noble Intentions much better. So only 3 Stars for this one.

Rebecca (bexsi) | 812 comments I have finished One for the Money (Stephanie Plum, #1) by Janet Evanovich The writing is fairly witty and the plot - young woman, down on her luck, reasonably pretty and not the sharpest tool in the box becoming a bounty hunter - is a change to the normal chick lit fodder. I gave it 3 Stars
