Thanks, Jojo, these look really great! I am eager to get started. I have the first few already so I will start with them while I look up the others at the library or on Amazon. Would you like to do a Buddy Read for either of the ones you recommended? We certainly can do so, and I will start looking for them.

I'm glad you like the picks, Iris. You have great books on both your Read and TBR lists, I was just hoping that you would like some of these. We can start Discovery of Witches as soon as you are ready. I already have it, and I usually read several books at the same time, so I can start it whenever. Let me know when you are ready.
Happy Reading!

Jane (PS) | 24334 comments OK DG - round 2 for 2011. I'm trying to hand out completely new suggestions for the most part. And unfortunately I have to finish this tomorrow, but I thought I'd post what I had already...

NICE
1. Winter Solistice:
Shoulda Been a Cowboy by Loralie James looks pretty short but sweeeeet! Another one you might like to check out (not on your TBR) is this freebie One of Those Days by Zathyn Priest

2. Summer Solstice: War and Peace (Ooops) OK, how about A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness? I have this sitting at home and can't be bothered to pick it up 'cos of it's size!

3. Series Clean Up: A Breath of Snow and Ashes by Diana Gabaldon - #6! or Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince by JKR - also #6 :)

NAUGHTY
4. Many Yearly Challenges:
Lover Avenged by JR Ward (read this as part of my personal yearly challenges) or Caught Running by Madeleine Urban (originally chosen because Madeleine's last name fit the 'U' category for the A-Z Author's Challenge!)

5. Favourite Book of the Year: The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde - this is great in audio or Guardian Of Honor by Robin D Owens.
I think you'd really enjoy Dance with the Devil by Sherrilyn Kenyon and Burning Wild by Christine Feehan, but you haven't read the previous couple of books in each series :(

6. A Read That Made Me Blush: Eeek - I read so many blush-worthy books now, that nothing makes me blush anymore! But here is one of the more adventurous books I read lately - More Than Make-Believe by Tymber Dalton. An more angst-ridden sexy book is The Locker Room by Amy Lane.

Still to go :) Back again to finish off...

BUDDY
7. Book Buying:
I've been bad in both paperback and ebook, so I'll propose two choices - Touched by an Alien by Gini Koch or (and you knew it had to come in somewhere...) A Red-Tainted Silence by Carolyn Grey

8. Christmas Read: And two festive options: Sno Ho by Ethan Day and The Match Before Christmas by Eden Winters. Two quick short reads (I think)...

Lorena | 21 comments Hi Layla, here are your picks.

1. Winter Solstice:Vision and Highland Destiny were two of the shortest in your TBR.

2. Summer Solstice: Lover Unleashed love the BDB series and really enjoyed Payne's story, or Comanche Moon also a book in my TBR.

4. Many yearly challenges: Sugar Daddy is one of my favorite books and it looks like you also like Lisa Kleypas or Before I Fall also really good, read in one day.

6. A read that made you blush: Backstage Pass or a quick read, Hearts in Darkness

7. Book Buying: A Beautiful Dark or Beautiful Disaster, ha just noticed they're both beautiful.

Mimmy (roxym) | 208 comments For Penney:

Nice

1. Winter Solstice: The Many Sins of Lord Cameron by Jennifer Ashley, 298 pages. I know, this could have worked as a short book or as a series clean up book! I just finished reading book 1, so this was on my mind.

2. Summer Solstice: Ransom by Julie Garwood, 546 pages (One of my favorite books!)

3. Series Clean-up
Maya Bank’s KGI series #2: No Place to Run or Gena Showalter’s Lords of the Underworld #6: The Darkest Lie

Naughty

4. Many yearly challenges - recommend a book that you read for a previous challenge this year (PIFM or other) that you enjoyed
Pamela Clare’s I-Team series, read book 2: Hard Evidence

5. Favorite Book of the Year
I loved Erin Morganstern’s The Night Circus, which I know is very particular. You kinda gotta like the circus and magic to get into it.

6. A read that made you blush I haven't read this book, but you liked Kitty Thomas's other book! I'm recommending Guilty Pleasures by Kitty Thomas.

Buddy Read
7. Book Buying-Susannah Kearsley’s The Rose Garden

8. Christmas Read -Tied with a Bow, Christmas anthology or Christmas Eve at Friday Harbor, by Lisa Kleypas, which we are all probably reading!

Let me know what you think and happy reading!!

Categories

Nice
1. Winter Solstice - Atlantis Rising by Alyssa Day. I’ve been wanting to read this book for a while, it’s not super short but should be a quick read.
2. Summer Solstice - Pleasure of a Dark Prince by Kresley Cole. Great series!!, aaand you have to be ready for Lothaire’s book…
3. Series Clean-up - Daughter of the Blood by Anne Bishop. Haven’t read it but looks good.

Naughty
4. Many yearly challenges - Causing Havoc by Lori Foster. Just read this one for last month’s PFMC and it was pretty good.
5. Favorite Book of the Year - Fearless Fourteen by Janet Evanovich, Stephanie Plum’s is probably my favorite contemporary series and I really liked Then Came You by Lisa Kleypas, it has a very unique female character.
6. A read that made you blush - I wouldn’t say I blushed… but these books have a ton of sex… The Perfect Play by Jaci Burton, I didn’t really liked it but I’ve seen a lot of good reviews and I always see someone recommending it on this challenge so… try it and tell me what you think. Caught Running by Madeleine Urban is a sweet M/M romance book, really good!

Hi Kate! I've wandered through your TBR shelf and this is what I came with! I hope some of them will appeal to you.

Nice

*1. Winter Solstice
#Option 1 - Shaken by Dee Tenorio
#Option 2 - Magic in the Wind (Drake Sisters, #1) by Christine Feehan
I haven't read the first one but it seemed interesting enough; the second one is the start to a very good series!

Shaken by Dee Tenorio Magic in the Wind (Drake Sisters, #1) by Christine Feehan

*2.Summer Solstice
#Option 1 - Fancy Pants by Susan Elizabeth Phillips (495 pg)
#Option 2 - Born of Night by Sherrilyn Kenyon (539 pg)
#Option 3 - The Help by Kathryn Stockett (451 pg)
The first one shows the way a woman can grow up and rebuild herself; the second one has a yummy tortured hero coupled with a spoiled bitch. The idea is interesting enough though(maybe because I'm into space-opera now ;)). The third one I haven't read it but I've seen the movie and I loved it.

Fancy Pants (Wynette, Texas #1) by Susan Elizabeth Phillips Born of Night (The League, #1) by Sherrilyn Kenyon The Help by Kathryn Stockett

*3. Series Clean-up
#Option 1 - Crave by J.R.Ward
#Option 2 - Cowboy Casanova by Lorelei James
#Option 3 - Hot Finish by Erin McCarthy
I've seen that you've started The Fallen Angels series and that you've rated highly the first book; the second and the third are also sequels to series you've enjoyed.

Crave (The Fallen Angels, #2) by J.R. Ward Cowboy Casanova (Rough Riders, #12) by Lorelei James Hot Finish (Fast Track, #3) by Erin McCarthy

Naughty

*4. Many yearly challenges
#Option 1 - Pleasure Unbound by Larissa Ione
#Option 2 - Cry No More by Linda Howard
The first option is the start to a pretty hot series, it ressembles a bit of Kresley Cole's IAD. The second one is a very good book, the heroine proves to have enourmous willpower and a spine of steel and she's a mom too.

Pleasure Unbound (Demonica, #1) by Larissa Ione Cry No More by Linda Howard

*5. Favorite Book of the Year
#Option 1 - Go Fetch! by Shelly Laurenston
#Option 2 - Angels' Blood by Nalini Singh
Every time I make recs, I end up singing praises to both Nalini Singh and Shelly Laurenston. The first writer because she has an original world building and I really love her deep characters; the second one because she has such an amazing sense of humour, her books will make you smile.

Go Fetch! (Magnus Pack, #2) by Shelly Laurenston Angels' Blood (Guild Hunter, #1) by Nalini Singh

*6. A read that made you blush
#Option 1 - Be With Me by Maya Banks
#Option 2 - Nauti Dreams by Lora Leigh
Naughty, naughty books.Enjoy them!~

Polina (p0lit0o) | 71 comments Hi, Larissa! First I have to say that you have great taste in book (similar to mine ;)) so it was real fun to pick for you. Have a great challenge this month and happy holidays!

Winter Solace - The Warlord Wants Forever - the start of a really great series with all kinds of mythical creatures.

Summer Solace - A Game of Thrones - Well, I've only watched the TV show but it was awesome so I guess the book will be even better if that's possible.

Series Clean-up - Lover Mine - It doesn't need a description so I'll just say that this is my favorite book of the series. ;)

Many yearly challenges - My One and Only - yup, this is the one I liked most. :D

Favorite book of the year - Tough, I can't choose one. I narrowed it down to Bet Me, The Piper's Son, On the Jellicoe Road and Beautiful Disaster.

A read that made you blush - Seducing Reagan - no comment! ;)
