Hi Dawn,

Thanks for the great picks. I always try and read all the picks everybody does for me but I got behind in November so I am catching up. We will see how many I get to this December. I am going on vacation for the week of Christmas so I will have time then to read a lot!

Have a happy holiday!

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments Christine - here are your picks - hopefully one of these works for you

1. The Zillionaire Vampire Cowboy's Secret Werewolf Babies - well, i'm not exactly sure how long it is, but the title definately caught my eye

2. American Gods (656 pages) or The Gargoyle (465 pages)

3. I know you just started the In Death series, so how about continuing with Glory in Death or now that book 6 is out, finish up the Georgina Kincaid series with Succubus Shadows (I think you are up to this one...)

4. I read so many good books for different challenges this year, so here are three: The Winter Sea (a historical romance with some time slip); Between Shades of Gray (a YA set in Lithuania during WW2, a really interesting read) or Confessions of a Prairie Bitch: How I Survived Nellie Oleson and Learned to Love Being Hated (who didn't hate Nellie on Little House on the Prairie)

5. Overall this year, i've only had about 20 books that I rated 5 stars - so here are 2 for you: Kushiel's Dart (a long read, but great world building - i'm going to try and fit the second one in this month) or Letters From Home (a romance set during WW2 told with letters)

6. Not many books make me blush, lol, but here are two that would have made me blush at one stage - Club Shadowlands - the first in Cherise Sinclair's Shadowlands series or Lust - a historical paranormal romance with fae

I don't know if I will have time to do a buddy read this month, but here are a few options

7. I recently just bought Nothing Ever Happens - this is m/m if you are interested in trying, a couple of us are going to buddy read it this month or Loose Screw (if you have a kindle, this is only 99 cents - but looks like an interesting cozy mystery).

8. I have already read the first one, but plan on reading the second, but why not try Penny Watson's series about Santa's sons - the first is Sweet Inspiration and the second (if you get a chance) is Sweet Magik

Hopefully something works - looking forward to hearing what you think

THANKS for the awesome pics...now to decide which ones to read. I am going to start with Ascension and then try to get to Enclave ( I have been wanting to read both of these books) for the buddy read, I would like to read Atlantis Rising - do you have this book? I will download it to my ereader tomorrow and will be ready to start whenever you are

You know, I've been sitting on her Edge series ever since the first one came out (what two years ago?) but I have yet to get around to reading them! Of course, I usually like to wait until there are at least three books out in a series before I start it. That way, if it's really good, I've got a couple to read right away. So, now that #3 is out, I can finally get to it. One of these days. Maybe next month...Too many books and not enough time.

Thanks, Dee. I saw in your profile that were both in Maryland. Hi from Mount Airy!

I'll definitely be reading Glory in Death (buddy read with Leslie) and Succubus Shadows, so great call on those.

I'm like you and I'm not sure if I can squeeze another buddy read in this month with all the other challenges I have going, but I'll let you know if I find time to join the one you're already planning.

And I'm going to have to check out some of these other recs, quite a few look interesting at a glance. Thanks!

message 213: by Tuğçe (last edited Nov 30, 2011 06:51AM) (new)

Tuğçe Gökırmak (tugcenidasevin) Pam, here are your picks, hope you can find something you will enjoy.

1. Winter Solstice - How to Survive a Garden Gnome Attack: Defend Yourself When the Lawn Warriors Strike or If I Stay - I haven't read those but I have both in my TBR for a long while now. As you also have them, I thought one of us might try these out.

2. Summer Solstice - A Game of Thrones or Divergent or The Name of the Wind - I know all are quite long but, they were worth every minute of reading time.

3.Series Clean-up - Betrayed - you have read and liked the first book so you might want to move on, it is a long series after all!
Catching Fire - or if you prefer a shorter series to continue, you might read the second book of The Hunger games, this trilogy was one of my favourites this year.

4. Many Yearly Challenges - Before I Fall or Frostbite or Secrets of a Summer Night - these were all previous PIFM recs and I really liked them. I know VA wasn't very brilliant but it gets better with every book in the series. For Before I fall, I had a little trouble in getting into it but it was very good after I was hooked.

5. Favourite Book of the Year - Before I Go to Sleep - I am not really a thriller/detective stories type but I just loved this one, couldn't put it down.
Night Road - It was my first Kristin Hannah and I heard her books are usually the tearjerkers, this wasn't too bad on the tears part but it was a very well told story. I enjoyed every page. If you like or can stand to womens fiction, you might give her books a try.
I have a few others but I already recommended them in other categories :)

6. A Read that Made You Blush - with my reading range, it is quite difficult for me to blush but then maybe I have to think about your range, I hope I won't go out of your comfort zone too much.
Fifty Shades of Grey - loved this one really... It is a love story really, with mild BSDM elements in it but nothing too graphical to disturb.
Zero at the Bone - this was recommended to me last month in PIFM (thanks again Amy J) - it is a M/M romance/thriller/crime mix, with quite a few graphic scenes but it wasn't sappy and it was different and good.
Hot Head - another M/M romance book which also hit the final round in GR choice awards 2011, i can't say it was great but a good read.

7.Book Buying - In Bed with a Highlander or Seven Exes Are Eight Too Many or Long Hard Ride

8.Christmas Read - The Stupidest Angel: A Heartwarming Tale of Christmas Terror or All I Want for Christmas

Desperado (lethallovely) | 822 comments Oh, wow! Thank you very much for the rec's, Megan! I wanted to read Divergent but no way in hell am I going to get my hands on it by Dec 31st. So instead I'm going to read either
Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins , The Fiery Cross (Outlander, #5) by Diana Gabaldon or Blood Lines (World of the Lupi, #3) by Eileen Wilks

Or maybe all three. You've definitely left me with a lot of exciting choices. Again, thank you!

message 216: by D.G. (last edited Nov 30, 2011 07:26AM) (new)

D.G. | 4477 comments Hi Kerste,

I had a great time picking books for you. As you like romance, I kept most of my recommendations to different romance sub-genres with a few other of my favorites thrown in. I hope you find something you like!

NICE
1. Winter Solstice (short book)

Among the Living by Jordan Castillo Price (90 pgs.) - A lot of my GR friends have been gushing about the Psy Cop series so I know it's good.
Alpha & Omega: A Companion Novella to Cry Wolf by Patricia Briggs - This is not on your TBR but you MUST read it before Cry Wolf. It really explains the beginning of the relationship between Anna & Charles so you'd be lost reading Cry Wolf without it.

2. Summer Solstice (long book)
The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss (662 pgs.) When asked to recommend a long book from the person's TBR, I never suggest the longest. But this happens to be one of my favorite books of 2010 so I just couldn't pass it up.

3. Series Clean-up
Seduce Me at Sunrise by Lisa Kleypas - You're very good at catching up on series but I realized you hadn't read Win & Kev's story (one of my favorites in this series.)
Burn the Night by Jocelynn Drake - I haven't read this series but you seem to have enjoyed it. :)

NAUGHTY
4. Many yearly challenges

Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles - I've received many good recommendations in the PIFM challenge but this has been my absolute favorite. I loved this audiobook with a passion.
Paradise by Judith McNaught - I read this book for the lifetime challenge (it was published in the early 90s.) Surprisingly, it's not dated at all and the story is great.

5. Favorite Book of the Year
Practice Makes Perfect by Julie James - I loved this book...it was so crazy and funny!
Delirium by Lauren Oliver - I noticed you haven't read The Hunger Games so I don't know if you don't like YA dystopias. Regardless, this is one of my favorite books of 2011 (another one I voted for in the GR choice awards.)
Hounded by Kevin Hearne - My favorite new series of 2011.

Bonus! My Favorite Series from your TBR
Slave to Sensation by Nalini Singh
Extreme Exposure by Pamela Clare
Yes, I went a bit crazy in this category but I noticed that you have on your TBR two of my absolute favoritest series EVER so I HAD to include them in my recommendations.

6. A read that made you blush
Hot Head by Damon Suede - This book was hot with capital H. Not only that, but the story was great too - it's my choice for the romance category in the GR choice awards.
Victorious Star by Morgan Hawke - You mentioned in your profile that you like to read about permanent menages so I thought you'd like to try my favorite sci-fi erotica book. It's another hot book with a great story.

BUDDY READ
7. Book Buying

The Heir (Duke's Obsession, #1) by Grace Burrowes - I had this book on print but saw it at a good price for Kindle and couldn't help myself and bought it. Why oh why!
Don't Tell by Karen Rose - Now that I have an iPad, I can't resist those Kindle Daily Deals (at least if the book has a good rating.)

8. Christmas Read
Her Christmas Pleasure by Karen Erickson - I'm not much for Christmas stories (I think the Holidays are too commercialized) but I found this recently on NetGalley and may be open to give it a try if you want to.
A Red-Tainted Silence by Carolyn Gray - This has red in the title so I'll think of it as Christmas-y, LOL! Anyways, a few other gals and I will be buddy reading this one so please let me know if you want to join us!

Among the Living (PsyCop, #1) by Jordan Castillo Price Alpha & Omega A Companion Novella to Cry Wolf (Alpha & Omega, Prequel) by Patricia Briggs The Name of the Wind (The Kingkiller Chronicle, #1) by Patrick Rothfuss Seduce Me at Sunrise (The Hathaways, #2) by Lisa Kleypas Burn the Night (Dark Days, #6) by Jocelynn Drake Perfect Chemistry (Perfect Chemistry, #1) by Simone Elkeles Paradise (Second Opportunities, #1) by Judith McNaught Delirium (Delirium, #1) by Lauren Oliver Hounded (Iron Druid Chronicles, #1) by Kevin Hearne
Slave to Sensation (Psy-Changeling, #1) by Nalini Singh Extreme Exposure (I-Team, #1) by Pamela Clare Hot Head (Head #1) by Damon Suede Victorious Star (Interstellar Service & Discipline, #1) by Morgan Hawke The Heir (Duke's Obsession, #1)(Windham, #1) by Grace Burrowes Don't Tell (book #1) by Karen Rose Her Christmas Pleasure (The Merry Widows, #2) by Karen Erickson A Red-Tainted Silence by Carolyn Gray

Christmas Eve at Friday Harbor is not very syrupy and it just happens to be a story set around that time of the year. Not over the top at all.

Ning (dragonceres) | 33 comments Hi Lauren, I love your picks!!

I'm definitely going to read In Bed with a Highlander by Maya Banks. There're so many good reviews for it.

Larissa | 138 comments Kimberly,

Nice

1. Winter Solstice -
You seems to like Agatha Christie a lot (at least that’s what your to-read list says, haha), so why not start with the well know Miss Marple? Murder at the Vicarage

2. Summer Solstice – Although Lover Enshrined is not my favorite in the BDB series, it’s really worth reading just for the pleasure of getting to know more about the Brothers lives and what they’re up to. Besides, after it you can read Father Mine (which totally made up for me), with Z being all hot and cute as a dad. Anyway, I hope you can enjoy Phury more than I did (just ignore me, tons of people loved him): Lover Enshrined

3. Series Clean-up - I absolutely LOVE the Mortal instruments series (altogether with anything that Clare writes), so I can’t be impartial about it, but sure City of Ashes deserves a shot: City of Ashes
or
Catching Fire
Because come on, how can you breathe without knowing if Peeta will forgive her for faking everything? Or, puf, the future of Panem?

Naughty

4. Many yearly challenges –
Reading Perfect Chemistry was really worth it for me and I hope you feel the same thing. I could not help but fall in love with Alex and Brit’s story (and then with the whole Fuentes family in the next books): Perfect Chemistry

5. Favorite Book of the Year – Rose is my favorite kick-ass heroine ever. Besides, I thought it was really originally written, and there’s a hot Russian instructor, so: Vampire Academy
or
Doesn’t know Bones yet? Come on mate, you don’t know what you’re losing!
Halfway to the Grave

6. A read that made you blush – Haha, did Fiftie made me blush: Fifty Shades of Grey

Buddy Read
7. Book Buying –
Divergent – I bought in the internet, it’ll most likely arrive at Christmas, so if you want a read at the end of the month, just tell me!

8. Christmas Read - Must Love Mistletoe
Murder at the Vicarage (Miss Marple #1) by Agatha Christie Lover Enshrined (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #6) by J.R. Ward City of Ashes (The Mortal Instruments, #2) by Cassandra Clare Catching Fire (The Hunger Games, #2) by Suzanne Collins Perfect Chemistry (Perfect Chemistry, #1) by Simone Elkeles Vampire Academy (Vampire Academy, #1) by Richelle Mead Halfway to the Grave (Night Huntress, #1) by Jeaniene Frost Fifty Shades of Grey (Fifty Shades, #1) by E.L. James Divergent (Divergent, #1) by Veronica Roth Must Love Mistletoe by Christie Ridgway

Hope you like the picks and can enjoy the reading!

message 226: by Penney (new)

Penney (pschoener) | 3553 comments Hi Amanda! I finally grabbed a few minutes to sit in front of the computer, so here it goes...

NICE:
1. Winter Solstice ~ The shortest book on your list happens to be written by an author I enjoy: The Pregnancy Test by Erin McCarthy
2. Summer Soltice ~ And the longest book on your list happens to be one of my recent favs: Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake by Sarah MacLean
3. Series Clean-up ~ Oh my Lord, you're a series defiler!! Most people who know me, know of my OCD when it comes to reading a series in order. You've read #5 and 6 of SEP's Chicago Stars series. What happened to the first 4 woman?! It's time for you to start from the beginning with one of the best in the series: It Had to Be You by Susan Elizabeth Phillips.
The Pregnancy Test (NY Girlfriends, #1) by Erin McCarthy Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake (Love By Numbers #1) by Sarah MacLean It Had to Be You (Chicago Stars, #1) by Susan Elizabeth Phillips

NAUGHTY: Now for the fun part!
I couldn't decide for 4 and 5 so I'll give you three choices each. (A) In your comfort zone, (B) Out of the box and (C) Way out there!

4. Many Yearly Challenges ~ These were all PIFM reads that I loved! A. The Lost Recipe for Happiness; B. Dragon Bound (one of my top five of the year); C. Faith & Fidelity This is also one of my top fives and a really sweet love story.
The Lost Recipe for Happiness by Barbara O'Neal Dragon Bound (Elder Races, #1) by Thea Harrison Faith & Fidelity (Faith, Love, & Devotion, #1) by Tere Michaels
4. Favorite Book of the Year ~ A. One Reckless Summer; B. Magic Bites (not the very best book, but the start of the one of the best series I've read this year); C. Fifty Shades of Grey (my #1 of the year!)
One Reckless Summer (Destiny, #1) by Toni Blake Magic Bites (Kate Daniels, #1) by Ilona Andrews Fifty Shades of Grey (Fifty Shades, #1) by E.L. James
6. A Blush Worthy Book ~ I read a wide variety of romance, including some pretty hardcore erotica, so not much makes me blush anymore. So I thought I'd recommend the book that made me blush (in an awesome way) when I first started reading romance: Dark Lover by J.R. Ward. You absolutely have to give the Black Dagger Brotherhood a try!
Dark Lover (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #1) by J.R. Ward

BUDDY READS
Unfortunately I won't be able to read one of these with you, but they still look good :)
7. Book Buying ~ I only bought this one to see if the discount would work. It did!: Beauty And The Geek
8. Christmas Read ~ I don't usually do Christmas reads, but I like Lisa Kleypas: Christmas Eve at Friday Harbor
Beauty And The Geek by Roni Adams Christmas Eve at Friday Harbor (Friday Harbor, #1) by Lisa Kleypas

Hopefully you'll find something in this selection. Happy Reading!

SandyC (sandyc88) | 1287 comments Hello Ana!

I enjoyed looking at your shelves. I tried sticking to your TBR shelf for the most part. Hope you find something you like!

Nice

1. Winter Solstice:
Love Story by Erich Segal (I've read it and liked it) or An Abundance of Katherines by John Green (I have not read it but I just added to my TBR!)

2. Summer Solstice: Outlander by Diana Gabaldon--This is my favorite series of all time. People tend to really like it or really not like it. I admit that I didn't appreciate it as much until I read book 2, but the series is so engrossing I feel like the characters are good friends of mine!

Whitney, My Love by Judith McNaught - I haven't read this but I've heard good things.

3. Series Clean-up: I just love the Hathaways! Looks like you just need to read Love in the Afternoon to finish the series.

An Abundance of Katherines by John Green Love Story by Erich Segal Outlander (Outlander, #1) by Diana Gabaldon Whitney, My Love (Westmoreland, #2) by Judith McNaught Love in the Afternoon (The Hathaways, #5) by Lisa Kleypas

Naughty

4. Many yearly challenges:
I am in the Seasonal Reading Challenge group, so every single book I read applies to that challenge. From your TBR, I would highly recommend Halfway to the Grave and Garden Spells.

5. Favorite Book of the Year I have read about 185 books this year so it's difficult to pick my top 5. I will list some of my favorites from different genres for you to peruse:

Historical Fiction: The House at Riverton by Kate Morton
Classic: The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck
YA: Just Listen by Sarah Dessen
Sci Fi: The Passage by Justin Cronin
Fantasy: A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin
Contemporary/Romance:One Day by David Nicholls or P.S. I Love You by Cecilia Ahern

6. A read that made you blush: You have Chasin' Eight on your TBR. I've read a couple of other Lorelei James books and they're definitely on the steamy, blush-inducing side. You could also try J.R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood series. The first book is Dark Lover.

Halfway to the Grave (Night Huntress, #1) by Jeaniene Frost Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen The House at Riverton by Kate Morton The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck Just Listen by Sarah Dessen The Passage (The Passage #1) by Justin Cronin A Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire, #1) by George R.R. Martin One Day by David Nicholls P.S. I Love You by Cecelia Ahern Chasin' Eight (Rough Riders, #11) by Lorelei James Dark Lover (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #1) by J.R. Ward

Buddy Read

7. Book Buying
I would love to read The Host by Stephenie Meyer or The Bride by Julie Garwood in December.

8. Christmas Read: Since you're a fellow Kleypas reader, let's try Christmas Eve at Friday Harbor by Lisa Kleypas.

The Host (The Host, #1) by Stephenie Meyer The Bride (Lairds' Fiancées, #1) by Julie Garwood Christmas Eve at Friday Harbor (Friday Harbor, #1) by Lisa Kleypas

For sure I would like to read Bridleton. And I would also like to read 1225 Christmas Tree Lane as well as a buddy read, but I don't have the book yet. There are 153 people ahead of me on the hold list for Divergent so I won't be able to read that.

Christine | 955 comments I've set up a thread in the Dare you to Read folder for a buddy read of Glory in Death by J.D. Robb. This is book 2 of her 'In Death' series.

Leslie and I are reading it as a follow up to Nov's PIFM Buddy read. Come join us, around Dec 12-14, if you're interested.

That`s perfect, I`ll read my PIFM book first you can let me know when you get it then we can start.

Hi Leslie,
I loved my picks, they are so perfect for me you did a great job, thanks a lot!
Ken Follet is one of my favorite author but I'll skip Fall of giants this month and go for the shorter one The road so I can read as much of possible of your recs. I also will try to read Lover Eternal the second of the Black Dagger Brotherhood in series.
I wasn't pretending to start a new series before finishing some that I started but maybe if I find Waterfall in the library next house I'd change my mind :)
And for the buddy read this month I'd like to read a book about Christmas but just because we read together "Naked In death" last month I'll be happy to join you again with Glory in Death in the middle of the month. Maybe Christine will join us too as she promised, more people more fun :)

Alexis (LexaReads) | 375 comments Here are your picks Valerie ~Varuca~ I'm really not very certain about my picks. You and I have very little in common, and you have nothing on your TBR that I've heard of, much less read. So I'm kind of in the dark on these books, but hopefully I picked some good things for you to read. If you don't see anything let me know and I will try again!

1. Winter Solstice
Baby, I'm Yours by Stephanie Bond - I started this awhile back on my nook, but something crashed and now I can no longer open it. Anyways, I've heard it's an okay read and it sets up for a better series.
or
His Christmas Wish by Andi Anderson - tis the season after all ;)

2. Summer Solstice
The Help by Kathryn Stockett this book has been crazy popular for awhile and is a decently long read.
or
Evenfall by Sonny and Ais - I was looking at this one because it doesn't really have a cover and realized it's an unpublished book. That caught my interest so I figured I'd suggest it.

3. Series Clean Up
Love Me If You Dare by Carly Phillips - I read this awhile back, it's a cute quick read.
or
Taking Chase by Lauren Dane - You enjoyed the first book in this series and have the next 3 on your TBR, maybe it's time to continue them?

4. Many Yearly Challenge
Divergent by Veronica Roth - I read this in Oct. and really enjoyed it. It's a very fast paced story.
or
Cry No More by Linda Howard - another PIFM in October. I was surprised at home much I enjoyed this story.

5. Favorite book of the Year
The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein - I picked this up on a whim and couldn't put it down.

6.A Read that Made You Blush
Her Sexiest Mistake by Jill Shalvis - I don't read erotica, which you seem to enjoy so this will probably be light for you, but for me it was pretty heavy.
or
One Reckless Summer by Toni Blake - same story as the last, but you have the 4th in series on your TBR? I recommend the entire seires :)

7. Book Buying
Delirium by Lauren Oliver - I've been on a YA kick the last couple of weeks and picked this up. It's in the list of best books in 2011.
or
The Magicians by Lev Grossman - This was an impulse buy. The story looked interesting so I spent money I don't have on it.

8. Christmas read
Small Town Christmas looks cute
or
The Naughty List I've had this one sitting around for awhile :)

D.G.,

You hit this out of the park for me this month: THANKS! I have a lot of books on my TBR because I can't get them out of the library and I really don't like spending money on books that I don't already love. But I HAD to buy Hot Head as soon as I read the synopsis - are you kidding?? Clearly a must-read, great rec!

I have also put on hold at the library:
Hounded, Perfect Chemistry and The Name of the Wind. Not sure I'll get the last two since there's a bit of a line ahead of me, but I appreciate the push to read 'em when I get 'em.

Thanks again for your thoughtful and wonderful recs!

I do have a copy of Atlantis Rising (Warriors of Poseidon, #1) by Alyssa Day and we can start it whenever you'd like! We could also do a buddy read of Ascension (The World of Ascension #1) by Caris Roane instead or as a side read too since we're both going to be reading it this month. Let me know :)

Hi Mounika. Thanks for the picks! I will read
The Bride since I already have it at home. I put the Maya Banks books on hold at the library, but I have a feeling I won't get them in December. Happy holidays!

LOLOLOL about Hot Head! I read it a couple of months ago with Jane and Shell and that's what started our monthly m/m buddy reads. I hope you enjoy it! It's a very good story and hot, hot, hot!!!

I totally understand about not buying books...I can get most books at the library so I only buy stuff from authors I really like or if they are cheap and well recommended.

Glad you found something you liked! ;)

Marissa (mdawnh96) Tiffanny
Just let me know if anything sounds too unreadable & I'll try to pick something better

Nice

1. Winter Solstice: at 23 pages Taken to the Edge, or 40 pages Friends With Benefits seemed like short enough reads.

2. Summer Solstice: Cutting for Stone sounded like it was worth the 667 pages I even added it to my "to-read"

3. Series Clean-up: I noticed you read the first two books in the Robert Langdon series but haven't read The Lost Symbol which isn't in your to-read but if you're not interested in that then you can try finishing up Tempting the Fire and Taken by Fire in the ACRO series

Naughty

4. Many Yearly Challenges: I just started doing challenges, but I just read The Undomestic Goddess which was really good. & Outlander which I am in love with & trying to read the rest of the series.

5. Favourite Book of the Year: Besides Outlander, my favourite book I've read so far this year has to be Born of Fire. It's the second in it's series, but it stands alone as well.

6. A Read That Made You Blush: Well My first smut book was Jewel Of My Heart so that definitely got me blushing, but a more recent one that got me blushing was The Princess Masquerade, again its the second in it's series but can stand alone just as easily.

Buddy Read

7. Book Buying: I normally get my books from the library, but when I buy books I buy them when I'm ready to read them, so I have to go with a book that I'll be buying by the end of the week. I'll be buying Matched because I can't seem to find it in my local library & the series sounds pretty good.

8. Christmas Read: I haven't read a Christmas book since I was in elementary school, but while browsing for a new one I found Christmas Jars which kind of caught my interest.

Taken to the Edge (The Guardian Angelinos, #0.5) by Roxanne St. Claire Friends With Benefits by Cat Johnson Cutting for Stone by Abraham Verghese The Lost Symbol (Robert Langdon, #3) by Dan Brown Tempting the Fire (ACRO, #5) by Sydney Croft Taken by Fire (ACRO, #6) by Sydney Croft The Undomestic Goddess by Sophie Kinsella Outlander (Outlander, #1) by Diana Gabaldon Born of Fire (The League, #2) by Sherrilyn Kenyon Jewel Of My Heart by Rosemary Rogers The Princess Masquerade (Sedonia, #2) by Lois Greiman Matched (Matched, #1) by Ally Condie Christmas Jars by Jason F. Wright

I'm glad you liked your picks! I have to admit to not being crazy about "The Road", but I am not fond of distopian literature. Many people loved it. And the BDB is simply one of the best series out there. I'm so happy that you will join the "Glory in Death" buddy read. Absolutely the more the merrier!! I'm not crazy about "christmas" themed books anyway, so this is perfect.
