I'm struggling with Breaking Point so far. Taken me a week and I'm still only 35% done with it. I'm just not a big fan of Zack so far. He's a verbal a%$ to Natalie so far, but his inner monologue is sorta saving him. A little...
Really, Heather? Whoa. Some people just love that book. Interesting. I just had one that didn't do it for me either, yet other people loved it.
It's really sad because I have LOVED the series up until now. It's really only the hero that's causing me grief, hopefully when some of the "tension" is released, some of his curtness will go away and I'll like him more and the book!I did love my first Karen Rose book. I was smitten with Vito and will be checking out more of her books for absolute sure!!!
Oh, yeah! Heather, I loved
. I had heard that it is #7 for one series, but can be considered #1 for another, so I went for it. Man-oh-man! Am I glad I did? Yes. I have a couple more of Karen Rose's books to read. There is just not enough time!

I've been struggling for enthusiasm to read my "v" book in another challenge. Just checked and I had this book, so I think Vito Ciccotelli will do nicely as a letter substitute and I can swap some books around :-) Thanks ladies!
Great, CaroB. Be warned: the bad guy is
diabolical
. And it is a procedural crime novel, but with a nice touch of romance.
Exactly what Lisa Kay said, CaroB.You really couldn't find a better "V" for your challenge in my book. Vito may be in my top 10 favorite male characters. =)

That is a big call, Heather!

did you?"No, I didn't :( Had I been swept away from the beginning I would have loved it but my mind latched on a single detail and then started unravelling everything. I question too much to simply believe and accept the concept introduced in the book.
Latching onto a single detail? I've done that and it has ruined a book for me, so I can relate. I do too much eye rolling to enjoy the rest of the story.
rameau wrote: "No, I didn't :( Had I been swept away from the beginning I would have loved it but my mind latched on a single..."Oh snap, rameau! I do the same thing often. It all depends on my mood at the start of the read.

Valorie, I meant to tell you I loved that series. I can't remember where I left off, but I must get back to it. All birds - loved it.

Cheryl, you really liked Ripe for Pleasure? I have it on my dresser and just havent read it yet. It sounds like I say that often. It could be cause I have a ton of books that I've bought and not gotten to yet lol
I did like it alot and I know what you mean. I have so many on my bookshelf and yet I still go to the library and leave with at least 5 books. I am out of control. I know I will eventually finish all of them it's just a matter of time. I'm just trying to get my challenges done first.
