Hi Laurie,

I enjoyed it overall. About halfway through I couldn't imagine how much more there could be to say about wolves, so I thought it could have used some judicious editing. But the information about the exploitation of the Mongolian grasslands by the Chinese government was interesting. It is based upon the author's experience in working on the grasslands, so it is well worth reading.

It's still daylight here on America's east coast, and browsing through this thread I realize I have to play a lot of catch up before I get to mustard.
Finished Little Women and am now reading A Laodicean : a Story of To-day, but don't know where they're set.
Also started In Cold Blood, set in the U.S. State of Kansas, while on vacation in Las Vegas, NV USA.

This is the first Anne Tyler novel I have read. I am enjoying this novel and being drawn into this family. It is one of those books that you have just have to keep reading to find out more.

Staying in the world of water am now reading

I am tucking into Sherlock Holmes and the Lyme Regis Legacy.

I'm attempting to read Divine Comedy by Dante which is taking a BUNCH of time to get into. I think most of you are already familiar with this one, but the structure of his work mostly uses symbolic terms so as to illustrate - let's say - purgatory, hell, ... . I've been reading some pages double-time until I was completely sure of what was going on. Still a good read for those who are interested in the beginnings of italian literature.

Tao te Ching - Lao Tzu

im liking it but struggling to finish it

This is going to be the last book of the year for me:)
