Yeah, those covers are great. Fallen is still my fave so far of all of them. Passion is my least fave.

Cassandra Clare's covers are some of my faves and they all match. Except, for me, in Clockwork Prince Jem's face looks a little lifeless and plastic.

I actually like Jem's cover, but I think I'm in the minority.
CoFA's cover bugs me because Clary looks cross eyed.

It's funny because Fallen to me was the worst of the 3 books. I borderline hated it because it was so slow and Luce walked around pining for Daniel the whole time. The only thing that made the book bearable for me was Cam. So you'd think I would have hated the other books, but I actually enjoyed book 2 a lot and book 3 was decent, but not as good as book 2.

I like Jem's cover I just wish his face looked more alive and human and not Ken doll like.

I don't really like him on the cover because I hate his hair.

I'm with you Jen. I love them both for different reasons, and I agree that there isn't the same need to have to lean toward Will in this series.

I do know from the spoilers that we have a lovely scene btwn Tessa and Jem to look forward to!

Yes we do! I can't wait!

Call me naive but I didn't think things like that happened haha!

Hahaha! I pet my books. My coworkers laughed at me when I came back from my lunch break with the 20th Anniv edition of Outlander and I was so excited to have it I was petting the cover. They don't get it...

Stacia- I agree, you would think the bigger companies would make sure they had custom covers, just to be original.

I agree with Stacia and Cambria. You'd think with all the talent out there major publishers would have more unique cover art.
I really liked the Wicked Lovely cover art.

You know, I really don't see why a big publisher wouldn't get a custom cover. There is no reason not too. It could be done well at a low cost. I just had my cover done for my debut novel and it was custom. We got a model and makeup artist and the designer took the photos and designed the cover.... if i can do it, then my goodness the big boys can. LOL.
And I too LOVE the smell of coffee and books. My husband calls BN my homeland bc it has my two fav places. Starbucks and BN for books! lol

Guess I'll have to find my review again to see what my opinion was...

YA fae books just don't seem to do it for me. I actually went back and looked up some YA fae books to see if there was one I really liked, and couldn't find one!

I love adult fae books though. The Fever series and Tairen Soul series are both exceptional. Fever is dark and deep, and Tairen Soul is a great traditional romantic fantasy series.

It makes me sad that I rarely go to them anymore because I read most of my stuff in ebook form now.

I'm thinking of trying this one

I've heard mixed things about Iron Witch, but I agree, it sounds like a cool concept. Maybe I'll check it out anyway.
And thieves in the other book? Okay, that's a definite interest grabber.

Come to think of it I've loved the fae adult lit better than YA. Dark Swan...Dorian...mmmm, 'nough said!

Yes, okay, then that's 3 fae series I really like and they all happen to be adult.
Someone needs to step it up with the YA fae thing and put out some good product.

Yes, okay, then that's 3 fae series I really like and they all h..."
Ahem, there are some quite good YA fae series.

But...I did make a point on my review that I sometimes think people are a little bit too hard/jaded on any type of story where it might be a little bit swoony or heavy on the "dreamy boy" thing. I think it's a bit overdone some of the time, but some authors are better at pulling it off. This one...eh.
There were a lot of stereotypes and things in the book that have been done to death, so that's why it was about a 2.5 for me. If the author had focused more on the plant thing (which was pretty different), it might have made me more interested in checking out the second book.

But that's okay, you're allowed to like the book! I still rounded up to a 3 star for the rating, so I enjoyed it enough while reading it.

WTB brain pills.

This one looks like it might have some sinister stuff too, and has another Ophelia on it! The synopsis even mentions people killing themselves. OPHELIA.

What I like about the Hounded series is that it's a man with a sword but it's not girlified by having him bare-chested and flexing. Don't get me wrong, I like a bare-chested man, but it's refreshing and it makes me take the series more seriously.
