Book Covers - The Good, The Bad and The WTF?
I actually really love the Bloodlines font, and the flowers. The way they look in print on my shelf are really pretty. BUT, I do not like the models. Actually, the model that was Jill on GL was pretty, but the Sydney model, no way. Sydney is serious but she doesn't look like a bitch, at least not in my head.And who and the heck are these guys?! I'm guessing the one in front of Sydney is Adrian. Who the heck is the other guy! He can't be Eddie because he's blonde. (Not that it matters because Rose has dark hair and the chick on the covers of VA is blonde, but jeez.) Don't like that at all. I'll still buy the hardcover.
The worst Mead covers to me are the Georgina Kincaid covers. The orignals. Terrible. After that I probably like the VA covers least. They do not match the character descriptions at all, like they didn't even try. Also, the remind me of Buffy image knockoffs.
Is that a reflection of Hale in the sunglasses? I wish I could see more.
I assume it's supposed to be Hale, though that may be older than I pictured him. I like leaving it a little undefined so I can have the Hale of my imagination :)
It must be Hale. She never describes him in the book though really except to say he's good looking. So they probably want to obscure his face.

I love how the covers have metallic elements to them.
The coloring in general is aesthetically pleasing. The metallic is nice :D

It is a beautiful cover.My friend is reading City of Bones now and we're talking all about it. It's really making me want to finally pick up Clockwork Angel and City of Fallen Angels.
Do. It. CoFA is sorta fillerish....but has some def good stuff to it. CoLS is better! Clockwork Angel is just...read it!
Hahaha, I think I'm going to! I got my copy of Fever Moon: The Fear Dorcha in the mail today, but after flying through that Graphic I'm going to do Clockwork Angel.
I just started Clockwork Angel as my copy of CoLS is coming this week and I didnt want to read it until I had at least read Clockwork Angel. So far I'm loving it even more than CoB :)

Thanks again, everyone! And unrelated, if any lovers of Rome out there, go see the new Woody Allen movie To Rome With Love. It's worth it just for the shots of the city and the hilarity of Alec Baldwin. Plus you get the trailer for The Perks of Being a Wallflower with some great actors in it!

Very pretty! The summary for it is probably the vaguest thing I've ever read...which makes me want it even more...says release in November, but no date.
Have you guys seen the new Sarah Dessen covers?I'm not going to post them because it would take too long, but I really don't like them.

Just saw that one the other day when I added it to my TBR! Love it, love the purple.
I liked the red. I kinda like the purple, too. It is sorta miasma-like. I think snot green might work for the third, assuming there will be a third. Red, purple, snot green are my plague-approved colors, I think.

My first thought was that the next cover should have been green. I was unsure about the purple at first and didn't like it but now the cover has grown on me.
I'm a sucker for anything purple. I need to read the first book so I can add this beauty to my TBR list.
