September - Pick It For Me! Challenge

Your List
1. The Sugar Queen By Sarah Addison Allen
2. Delirium By Lauren Oliver
Not on your list
1. Giving Chase (The Chase Brothers #2) By Lauren Dane
2. Changing the Play By Jaci Bur..."
Thanks, Tiffanny. All those look really good. I'm thinking of either starting Delirium or If You Deceive first. :)

From Your TBR
1. The Mane Event - This series is hilarious. This first book has two separate stories - Mace and Dez and Brandon and Ronnie Lee. My fav of the series is The Mane Squeeze and Beast Behaving Badly.
2. A Hunger Like No Other - I see you have my fav series of all time on your TBR. I liked the first book, but later ones I loved - Dark Desires After Dusk.
New to You
3. Magic Bites - This is an urban fantasy series with really good world building and character development. The heroine is kick butt with a snarky sense of humor. The romance is slowly built up through the first few books.
4. Lord of the Fading Lands - An awesome fantasy series with slow build up of romance.
My Favorites
5. Dragon Bound - This is a paranormal romance about a dragon. Good world building and character developments.
6. When You Dare - A great romantic suspense with a strong heroine and none of the TSTL moments.
From My TBR (buddy read if you like)
7. Ten Ways to Be Adored When Landing a Lord - this is the second book in the series. The first book, Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake, was fun and had a good love story.
8. Destined for an Early Grave - I noticed you also stop this series on the 3rd book, maybe we can both pick up the series again together?

2 from your TBR: The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, An Unforgettable Lady by Jessica Bird
2 new to you: Highland Warrior by Monica McCarty, His Mistress by Morning by Elizabeth Boyle
2 of my favorites: The Book of Scandal by Julia London, Bachelor's Puzzle by Judith Pella
2 from my TBR: Random Acts of Heroic Love by Danny Scheinmann, The Unidentified Redhead by Alice Clayton

Well, this was much quicker than I thought it would be. Hope you enjoy it.

I'm glad you liked your picks! As for the buddy read, I think it'll be better for me in the middle - end of the month. I'll let you know, though.

2 books from your TBR
You are currently in the middle of reading two of my favourite series ever, so I thought I'd re..."
Hope you have a great time on vacation, just message me when you get back and we'll organise the buddy read :)

I believe we have done this dance before and picked for each other.
My recommendations for you:
From your TBR: Agnes and the Hitman I listened to an audio copy of this book and laughed my a** off OR
Natural Born Charmer. You know SEP is always a good read.
New to you: The Adoration of Jenna Fox This was recommended to me in a previous PIFM challenge. It's a quick read and very thought-provoking OR A Discovery of Witches. This is long but I really liked it--it's a relatively new book but I was lucky enough to get it from the library one day.
My favorites: The Hunger Games Yeah yeah I know. I kept putting it off too but finally read it this month. Just do it. It's good. OR Dana Stabenow's Kate Shugak series strong woman Start with A Cold Day for Murder. Not the best in the series but the first.
From my TBR: Perfect Chemistry or Fallen from Grace

Tiffany-it does get better after the first year! Hang in there.

Here are my recs for you. Hope you like them and if you want to do some buddy read let me know.
books from your TBR:
Sword of Darkness
Blood Brothers
books New to You
Blind Faith
Keeping Promise Rock
books My Favorites
Passion
Laird of the Wind
Dance with the Devil
books from our TBR
Perfect
Atlantis Rising
Happy reading!

(2 books) From their TBR
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. This series is one of my favourites. I've always been recommending this on PIFM and people love it. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Next year a movie will come out~
or Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare. Everyone loves Clockwork and City of Bones series.
(2 books) New to Them
A Kingdom of Dreams by Judith McNaught. Here, I've realised that you haven't read JM yet. She's a wonderful historical-romance writer and I enjoyed Westmoreland Series a lot.
or A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin. It's WAY better than the TV series and I see you love fantasy books. GOT is more alternative universe-medieval though, it has little fantasy but still is well-written.
(2 books) Your Favorites
Lavinia by Ursula K. Le Guin. Yes, it has a low rating on GR but it's REALLY good. If you like historical fictions, then you'll love Lavinia. It's about a Latin princess' life, before Roman Empire.
or King Lear by William Shakespeare. It's a long play of him, though my favourite. It's quite complicated but has lots of messages in it.
(2 books) From your TBR – (recommendation)
Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater
or The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger
I hope you'll like my pics. If you don't, I can repick!

I will read The Unidentified Redhead. It does not have to be a buddy read...but if you like it to be let me know.

I hope you find something that intrigues you.
From your TBR
1. Bitten by Kelley Armstrong - you've already read The Darkest Powers series, now find out about Elena, the only female werewolf.
2. On the Edge by Ilona Andrews - yes the cover is cheesy, but the book is really good. Rose and her brothers make a great family who are trying to survive together.
New to You
3. The Spellman Files by Lisa Lutz. It is very different and takes a little getting use to the flow, but a great read about a family of PIs.
4. The Corset Diaries by Katie MacAlister. Fun book about a reality tv show set in historical times. Very humorous.
My Favorites
5. Dragon Bound by Thea Harrison. There is a lot of hype around this book and it is so true. Great read with lots of excitement, romance and a nice twist.
6. Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie. I see you've read a couple of hers, this might just be my favorite by her (although it is tough to say because I love so many of them).
My TRB
Well, I'm planning to read these soon, so I would be up for a buddy read if you want to join me.
7. Don't Mess with Texas by Christie Craig. Craig reminds me of Crusie with just a touch more suspense.
8. How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf by Molly Harper - I didn't have the book when there was a massive read a couple months ago, so I'm curious now.

Welcome to RRRC and welcome to your first PIFM challenge.
Here are your recs:
From your TBR
The Unsung Hero by Suzanne Brockmann - The first book that started the popular Troubleshooters series.
Angels' Blood by Nalini Singh - Singh is an auto-buy author for me.
From my Favorites
Darkfever by Karen Marie Moning -- Find out what the 'fever' is all about.
Moon Called by Patricia Briggs -- Mercy is one of my favorite urban fantasy heroine.
New to You
Naked in Death by J.D. Robb -- I love this series. I love Eve and Roarke. Read and find out why.
Lord of the Fading Lands by C.L. Wilson - The first book of an epic fantasy romance.
From my TBR
Outlander by Diana Gabaldon -- This has been recommended often enough to get me intrigued. One of these days, I will find the time to read it.
Key of Light by Nora Roberts -- I've always enjoyed Nora Roberts'trilogies. This one looks promising.
Well, I hope you find something interesting in the list.
Happy reading!

I had fun prowling through your shelves. Here are my picks for you. Hopefully, I didn't go too far off base. If I did, let me know and I'll have another go at it.
Dark Lover by J.R. Ward - My gateway drug to PNR. Later books in the series I find more hit or miss but that first 4 or 5 are just awesome.
Magic Bites by Ilona Andrews - I see that you like the Mercy Thompson books. Mercy's my favorite UF heroine but I just started the Kate Daniel's books and Kate's running a close second.
As You Desire by Connie Brockway - I just couldn't leave this one behind. I'm not a swooner but Harry's "You are my Egypt" declaration just takes my breath away. Honestly, Google it and I'm sure you can find an excerpt. Ooh, found one:
http://www.heroesandheartbreakers.com...
OK - I had to take a moment after re-living that one. :)
Double Play by Jill Shalvis- I see that you like Rachel Gibson but haven't read Jill Shalvis. I find them a bit similar in "voice". Why not celebrate the end of summer with a nice baseball romance.
Exclusively Yours by Shannon Stacey - Another straight-up contemporary. This was an awesomely fun read.
Honor's Splendour by Julie Garwood - I wanted to include an author that you've enjoyed before. I see that you've liked other Garwoods but haven't read this one. I think it might be my favorite.
2 Of My Favorites
The Raven Prince by Elizabeth Hoyt - I feel like I'm always listing this one. But it's one of my favorite romances. Mainly because both the hero and the heroine are not your usual "types". I just love this tale of the plain widow and the smallpox scarred Earl and how they fall in love.
Slave to Sensation by Nalini Singh - For my money this is the best PNR series going. From this book to the latest Ms. Singh gives lessons in how to grow your world building without detracting from the lead couples.
2 From My TBR
First Grave on the Right by Darynda Jones - I've been meaning to read this one forever.
Ten Ways to Be Adored When Landing a Lord by Sarah MacLean - We both read (and enjoyed) the first book in this series but never got to the second.

From Your TBR:
The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. I loved this book. Its one of my all time favs.
Water for Eleph..."</i>
Wonderful picks! I'm definitely going to read [book:Beyond the Highland Mist. I have a copy of this too. I have a couple library books to finish first. But I'll be able to read this anytime after this weekend.
Hopefully I'll have time for at least one other book too.

Your TBR was a joy to go through. I noticed a lot of titles that I plan on moving to my TBR list. Here are my recommendations for you. I hope you find a book that you enjoy.
From Your TBR
Little Women by Louisa May Alcott I can't even begin to guess how many times I read this in my youth. I think every young girl sees herself as Jo, the tomboy heroine.
The Boy Next Doorby Meg Cabot This is written as a series of emails which makes it a quick read.
New to You
Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie I noticed you had another book by Jennifer Crusie on your list. I always recommend this book to someone who wants to begin reading romance.
Strong Spiritsby Alice Duncan I recently read this book. It's the first of a series and I'll be continuing the series. It's set in California in the 1920s. That isn't a time period I see many books set in and I found the details along with the story interesting.
My Favorites
What's the Worst That Could Happen? (Dortmunder, #9) by Donald E. Westlake If I want to laugh, I read this book. My favorite of the Dortmunder series of comic capers. These don't need to be read in order.
One for the Moneyby Janet EvanovichThe beginning of the Stephanie Plum series. Like many other readers I've been disappointed in some of the recent books, but the first six or soon were wonderful.
From my TBR
God Save the Mark: A Novel of Crime and Confusion by Donald E. Westlake I thought I'd read all of the comic capers written by Donald E Westlake, but I missed this one. It's free on Kindle right now which is a bonus.
Snake Skinby C.J. Lyons I've had this on my TBR for a few weeks. One of my high school friends gave it a glowing review recently. So really I guess I'm passing her recommendation on to you?
Now that I've written this up, I'm seeing a theme. Almost everything I've recommended is a light read. I always knew I read to be entertained, but this list proves it.

Sorry for the late response... I hope you can find something to enjoy, I liked looking around your shelves and added a few new ones to my already huge TBR...
Your TBR
The Warlord Wants Forever - I can't say it was amazing but I heard really good things about the next books so it maybe time to start them with this short one, it is enjoyable as well...
This Side of the Grave - the first book was just amazing, second and third was ok but still fun, I just loved the forth one and I can see that you enjoyed them too so let's continue
New to You
Divergent - that one was a rec to me last month and I loved it, you liked Hunger Games so you might like this one, just give it a try, you won't regret.
A Lot Like Love or Practice Makes Perfect these are my favourite Julie James and they were fun
My Favourite
One Day - I just love this book, I loved it the first time and I am still loving it after a second read, just finished my re-read and now waiting to see the movie on Friday :)
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time - If you enjoy Audiobook, try this on Audio, it was just great but if you can't the book is still really good.
My TBR
Bloodlines - I am planning to read this one in September and it is also in your TBR so if you are interested, I always fancy a buddy read.
Clockwork Angel - I have had this one for quite a long time now so I am ready to read it, if you are in.
happy readings...

I hope something here interests you. If not let me know. We are in completely different reading circles...=P Thank ya.
Your TBR

3.Bitten
4.Vampires: The Recent Undead
My TBR
5.Fledgling
6.Sister

From your TBR Okay...I couldn't decide between four books, sooooo I'm just going to give them all to you!
The Reef by Nora Roberts - We both love Nora and this one is one of the few that you have not read! I read it a couple of months ago and I liked it.
The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger - This was great, but have tissues handy for the tear drops!
Blue-Eyed Devil by Lisa Kleypas - You already read Sugar Daddy so why not read the next one, it's better. The third book is my favorite.
Twilight by Stephenie Meyer - You have to read this! You'll either love it or hate it, but at least you will know what all the hooplah is about. Personally I loved it.

New to You
The You I Never Knew by Susan Wiggs
Dead Witch Walking by Kim Harrison

A couple of my favorites
Outlander by Diana Gabaldon - One of the best couples of all time. *sigh*
The Secret by Julie Garwood
A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness - I was pleasantly surprised by this book.

From my TBR Possible buddy reads?
The Day the Falls Stood Still by Cathy Marie Buchanan - I wanted this book really bad and over a year later it is still sitting on the shelf! I will read it, damn it!
Fancy Pants by Susan Elizabeth Phillips - I really enjoy this author and this book sounds cute.

There you go. I hope you find something that you like. If nothing grabs you let me know and I will pick some more.

Hello again Pam! =)
A lot of people recommend The huger games but for some reason I have no desire to read it. When I finally break down and read it I might kick myself for waiting for so long to read it,but until then...
I'm going to go with:
Agnes and the Hitman and Fallen from Grace. Would you like to read Fallen from Grace as a buddy read? Lemme know, and as always, Thanks so much for the recommendations!

Hi Cynthia! *waving back*
I love all of the picks! I am already on the library waiting list for The Hunger Games so hopefully I will get my hands on it this month. I added a hold for A Kingdom of Dreams and it looks like its on the shelf right now which means I can pick it up on Wed when I'm there. I also requested Clockwork Angel but that will need to be sent from another library. I own a copy of The Time Traveler's Wife so I can buddy read that if you want. I'm also going to try to get Shiver but I'm not sure how many of the choices I'll get to. (I sign up for way too many challenges:)

From your TBR:
Gentle Warrior - Julie Garwood :: I really like this author and recently read this again.
Extreme Exposure - Pamela Clare :: Just read this series and love this author.
Wild Card - Lora Leigh :: Thought I'd give you a bit of spice :)
The Devil Wears Plaid - Teresa Medieros :: I haven't read this one in a while, but remember it being a good one.
New to You:
The Leopard Prince - Elizabeth Hoyt :: Didn't see too many historicals, but think this is a good author, and you haven't read her.
Dangerous Secrets - Lisa Marie Rice :: She was new to me last month. A little light and spicy.
The Winter Sea - Susanna Kearsley :: A very different story. Takes a bit of time to get into it, but worth it, if you give it a try.
My Fav's:
Whitney, My Love - Judith McNaught :: One of my all time "comfort" reads. Not available eFormat - not sure if this will bother you or not. Great book.
Separate Beds - LaVryle Spencer :: I read this 20 years ago, and then again last year. I continue to like this story.
Beautiful Disaster - Jamie McGuire :: A new favorite of mine. A new author and a different kind of book. Comes on strong and stays there.
My TBR:
The Perfect Play - Jaci Barton :: Have this to read, but haven't been in the mood. She is an author I like sometimes, but saw you like sports in a story. This one is supposed to have it.
Two Lethal Lies - Annie Solomon :: I have this in hard copy to read and really sounds good, just haven't done it yet.
Out of Time - Monique Martin :: A cheap, highly recommeneded eBook. Reviews are great and price was right.
If you want to buddie on any of the My TBR or My Fav's - I'm game - just send me a note.
Happy Reading!

From Their TBR
1. A Wrinkle in Time - how you've missed such a classic, is beyond me! I read and reread this one growing up.
2. Nice Girls Don't Have Fangs - this book is hilarious! The entire series really makes me laugh.
New to Them
1. Suddenly - by Candace Camp. You've read and enjoyed a lot of similar authors so I think this author might be a big hit with you!
2. Dark Lover - by J.R. Ward. This series is amazing. No other way to put it. I was really not interested at all when I picked it up, but I loved it.
Your Favorites
1. Spying in High Heels by Gemma Halliday - I love this series. It's got similar humor to Stephanie Plum books, but with fashion everywhere!
2. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. This is an amazing series. I read all three books in two days. With all the hype of the movie coming next year, this is a must read.
From My TBR
1. The Devil to Pay. I just discovered how much I enjoy regency historicals. So I'm trying to read as many as I can. Here's one that you haven't read either that I have on my list!
2. First Grave on the Right - I was recommended this last month and didn't have time to read it, but I really hope to find time this month.

AshleyAlexis wrote: "Pam wrote: "AshleyAlexis-

From your TBR:
Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen - A good all around book. I haven't seen the movie, but I've heard it's not bad either. So read the book - then watch the movie.
Broken by Megan Hart - Not really erotica. I haven't read this Megan Hart offering but it is on my stack to be read. I have read other Megan Hart books and she never fails to tell a good story.
New to you:
First Grave on the Right by Darynda Jones - READ THIS BOOK. Laugh out loud funny in many sections. A light-hearted look at the life of the grim reaper. This may be my top pick.
Hounded by Kevin Hearne - Not a romance. Think light PNR/Fantasy with very little romance and great characters. 1300+ ratings with a 4.11 average should tell you that it's well liked by nearly everyone who picks it up.
A couple of my favorites:
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins - I'm surprised this is not on your list. I wouldn't really call it one of my all time favorites, but it seems to fit you. You have a number of PNR/alt reality/fantasy books and a fair number of YA books. This is both and more. In filming for a movie now. Even my wife liked these.
Nation by Terry Pratchett - This is one of my favorite YA novels of all time. Great story and great message. I loved it.
From my TBR:
Well, as anyone who's ever picked for me can tell you, I don't keep a TBR. The real Mt. TBR resides against one wall in the master bedroom. Currently it sits at 600+ purchased but unread books. I also have a Nook with more than 3,000 books downloaded. And yet only about 25% of my reads come from this stash. So I'm just going to pick a couple more that I think you should read.
Cry No More by Linda Howard - You seem to like romantic suspense and have rated at least one other Howard book well. I really liked CNM. I've recommended it to several people and they've ALL loved it. Even if you don't get to it this month, read this.
Along those same lines is Edge of Sight by Roxanne St Claire. This is the first book of a spinoff series. It doesn't matter. The hero is an injured vet with one eye. Damaged hero? You bet. Still kick ass and a great read? Absolutely.
Finally, I'll tell you to keep reading at least one series you have not finished. Read the next J.D. Robb book in the In-Death series. The characters just keep getting better and better.
Hopefully you like the picks. If you want/need something else, I won't be offended. I'll just go in a different direction and make eight new picks.
Jim

I had a lot of fun looking through your TBR pile!
Books From Your TBR
Soulless by Gail Carriger
I think you'll like the way this book combines a classic type style and the paranormal!
The Awakening by Kelley Armstrong
You read the first one in the series back in March and liked it. So I think it would be nice to read the second one!
Books New to You
Touch the Dark by Karen Chance
I really like this series, and looking at your list I think you would like this one as well.
Slave to Sensation by Nalini Singh
Again, another series I really enjoy that I think you would like as well.
Some of My Favorite Books
The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley
I know this book came out quite a while ago, but it's one of my all time favorites.
Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie
You read another one from Crusie and liked it, and this is one of my favorites by her. I pretty much like all of her books though!
Books From My TBR
This one was actually harder for me to pick for you. The books on my list that I really want to read, you've already read! And the ones that are left are mostly paranormal or free ones I picked up on Amazon to try. So, I decided to list a couple here that I have on my wishlist at Amazon that I would like to read. And if you end up picking one of these for a buddy read, I'm more than happy to download it on my Kindle!
Dragon Bound by Thea Harrison
State of Wonder by Ann Patchett
I hope you find one in the list that you would like to read!

I had a lot of fun picking for you, so I hope you can find a good one (or two or three) from this list. I had trouble deciding, so there are some extras:..."
Nancy,
Thanks for the recommendations!
For sure I would like to read "The Help" by Kathryn Stockett. It's been on my TBR list for a while and my coworker said the movie was wonderful.
I've also placed "Hey, Good Looking" by Fern Michaels and "Sex, Lies, and Online Dating" by Rachel Gibson on hold at my library. I'm first in the queue for both books, so I think I should be able to get them this month. I'll let you know when I'm able to pick up "Sex, Lies, and Online Dating" so we can do the buddy read. I hope you don't mind waiting a week or two for that one.
If after those books I still have time, I would like to read "Julia's Chocolates" by Cathy Lamb. I have it on my wishlist at Amazon though, so if I don't get to it this month I still would like to read it in the future.
Thanks again!
Sue-

Happy September! Here are your picks:
From your TBR
Sugar Daddy by Lisa Kleypas or Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris

I've been reading Lisa Kleypas's Wallflower series, which was suggested to me in last month's PIFM. I haven't read Me Talk Pretty One Day, but I have read Holidays on Ice and laughed so hard I was at the point of hyperventilation.
New Book Suggestions
The Botticelli Secret by Marina Fiorato or The Swan Thieves by Elizabeth Kostova.

Both books were interesting to me because of their storylines about art and history.
My favorites
A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness or Ransom by Julie Garwood

I just recently finished A Discovery of Witches and am looking forward to the next book in the series. Witches, vampires, demons and time travel! Ransom was the first Julie Garwood book that I read. What's not to love about a Highland laird and woman seeking to avenge her father's death?
Books from my TBR
Beyond the Highland Mist by Karen Marie Moning or Behind Closed Doors by Shannon McKenna

Thank you Lacy for the wonderful picks!! The one that jumped out at my at first was Blue-Eyed Devil, someone was talking about it recently and I really want to get back to and finish this series! So I am definitely going to read this one!
And if I can find the time, I hope to readThe Secret, Fancy Pants and/or The Reef too!

I'm glad you like the ones I picked for you - and you have chosen good ones. I certainly don't mind waiting until you are ready to read the Sex, Lies one, since I have so many others to read and am also finishing up another challenge that I am in on GR. Are you going to start with The Help ? I really liked that, as did many of my friends. Haven't seen the movie yet, but eager to do so.
Definitely read Julia's Chocolates - it is one of my all-time favorite books. You will laugh, cry, and not be able to stop reading. Once you read it, we can talk more about it.
Happy Reading!

From their TBR:
-The Alchemist: I must admit, that i was really pleased when i saw this book in your TBR, because its one of my favorite books on wisdom. I enjoy tales that leave conclusions to the readers own perception. Everyone gets something different out of it.
-Blue Smoke: From the selection of fav author in your bookshelf, NR, sure does come as one of the top dog. I had just recently read this book, and think it is very much right up your alley. This one stayed with me because of Rina(Heroine), and her relationship with fire.
-Archangel's Consort: I see that you have enjoyed the Guild Hunter previous installments, and the new book is just around the corner.
Introductions (new books/Authors) :
-Graceling : I have been wanting to read this book since forever!! It has been recommended to me, as i have recommended to many of my friends. The premise is really interesting.
-Talk Me Down: I see that you enjoy fun, flirty, contemporary romance. Victoria Dahl is good in that dept!
- The Darkest Night: there are some Gena Showalter books in your TBR. However, i didnt see the 'Lord of the Underworlds'one. Several of my GR friends that have enjoyed the "Dark Hunter' series often have share the good feedback from this one as well.
- My favorites
-Slave to Sensation: I lovee!! Nailini`s intricate worlds with capital L!. This is one of my favorite series!.
-Midnight Bayou: So, in this occasion i took the liberty to repeat authors in my recs. This book is perhaps one of my favorites. The setting, mysticism (southern USA folklore),mystery, and characters POV deviates a bit from NR`s signature plots.
-Extreme Exposure: Pamela Claire tops the charts on my book when it comes to suspenseful romance. The kick-butt plots, and Hot heroes make this series worth checking out!
Books from my TBR:
Darkfever: I`ve had this series in my TBR for a while, then i decided to give them a try this past week. Its been short of 4 days, and im already on book 4. "Fever" series are mainly Urban Fantasy Fiction more than romance (although there is the romantic interest ofc) I felt compelled to find out the many deceptions the plot is based upon. I dont see myself stopping until i get to the bottom of it! :)
Dead Until Dark: There are some mixed opinions about this book. However, when i was checking your book shelves, i thought this might be a vamp book you would like to read.
Something About You: From hot -brooding FBI Hero, to a witty lawyer and funny heroine. This book is always on my re-read list ;)
Simply Irresistible: you seem to enjoy Rachel Gibson. Jill Shalvis packs loads of funny, steamy, small town contemporary romance in her books.

Enjoy!! :)
A,

2 books From YOUR TBR –
The Darkest Night by Gena Showalter - LOVE this series! The first one grabs you by the throat and sets the world on fire! Maddox is yumminess! I love the interactions between all the Lords. Their banter is just as good as the plot and love scenes.
Archangel's Kiss by Nalini Singh - You have the 1st one 4 stars, but haven't picked up the rest of the series. I thoroughly enjoyed the world building in this one. This book shows more views into the culture and history of the Angels as well as more Dimitri and Illium. I can't wait to grab Dimitri's book and devour it.

2 books New to YOU -
Laid Bare by Lauren Dane - You've read one of Lauren Dane's books already. Why not give this a try? This begins the Brown Sibling Series, and it's one of my favs! I love this author because of her engaging plot, smokin' hot love scenes and the way she develops her characters. She made me laugh, cry, sigh, and gnash my teeth that Adrian's book (book 4) isn't in my hands yet!
Kiss of Midnight by Lara Adrian - These are a good blend of paranormal and romantic suspense. I noticed you had a few vampire books on your list, so hopefully these will appeal to you.

2.5 Books from MY Favorites -
The Warlord Wants Forever (Novella Book .5) &/or A Hunger Like No Other (Book 1) by Kresley Cole - This begins one of my favorite series ever! One minute you're laughing out loud and then fanning yourself in heat in these books. I would re-read this in a heart beat, and in fact am planning on it to catch up before the latest book, Lothaire, comes out this year.
Night Pleasures by Sherrily Kenyon - The beginning of the Dark Hunter Series. Could NOT put this book down. This was my first Kenyon novel and it helped me to adore her writing! The Dark Hunter world is amazing!

3 Books from MY TBR – I would be happy to do either of these as a Buddy Read, just let me know. I noticed you like romantic suspense and these all were well reviewed.
Beg for Mercy by Jami Alden
The Darkest Hour by Maya Banks
Fated by Rebecca Zanetti

Thanks for the great selections.

Thanks a bunch for the awesome picks Coffeentea!!!!!!! ;) I will let you know as soon as i decide the ones i will read this month!.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Autumn.

Thanks so much. I immediately added
First Grave on the Right, Suddenly, Spying in High Heels and The Hunger Gamesto my TBR list. I think I'll start with A Wrinkle in Time. I've seen so many recommendations for it over the years and I just added to my TBR today. Your comments boosted it to the top of the list.
Happy Reading!

After reading thru your TBR and you Read books I was trying to find something you haven’t read! You have such a wide variety of books on your list so I picked some of my favorites and I hope you enjoy at least one of them.
From Your TBR
*A Girl's Guide to Vampires By Katie MacAlister – I have read two of the books in this series so far and have enjoyed both of them, can’t wait to start #3
*First Grave on the Right (Charley Davidson #1) By Darynda Jones- I really like the main character Charley. She is a grim reaper and can see dead people. It has the right amount of romance, mystery and humor.
New to You –
*High Stakess (The Vegas Vampires #1) By Erin McCarthy
Almost along the lines of a Sookie Stackhouse novel, with more sex and it doesn’t make you feel sorry for any of the characters like I do in Charlaine’s books.
*Nice Girls Don't Have Fangss (Jane Jameson #1) By Molly Harper
A great book about a newly turned vamp trying to live a normal life while struggling with her family and others around her.
My Favorites –
*The Kitchen Witch (The Accidental Witch Trilogy#1) By Annette Blair
This book is the first in a series of 6. I LOVED each of them. She normally writes historical romance but I really enjoyed her dip into contempory/paranormal
*Grave Sight (Harper Connelly #1) By Charlaine Harris
I really love the way Charlaine Harris writes but the Harper Connelly series is one of my favorites. Harper can walk over the ground and see the last few seconds of a persons life. It makes for an interesting read.
From both of our TBR’s – I really don’t think I can do a buddy read this month with school starting. I’m sorry.
The Summoning By Kelly Armstrong
Some Girls Bite (Chicagoland Vampires #1) By Chloe Neill

From Your TBR:
1.Beyond the Highland Mist by Karen Marie Moning - I picked this because I really enjoyed this book and I've only read the first two but they are very good.
2.Heat Stroke by Rachel Caine - I loved the Weather Warden series by Rachel Caine. This is the second book in the series so I urge you to continue!! It really is an amazing series.
New to You:
1.Darkfever by Karen Marie Moning - I didn't see her or rather this series on your TBR. This series is even better than her Highland series. There are 5 books in all, and although the first one isn't the best one in the series it is a great introduction to the Fever World.
2.Outlander by Diana Gabaldon - This is a long book, about 600+ pages. It is historical fiction and the first in my all time favorite series. I recommend this at every chance I get, I hope you give it a try.
3.The Book Thief by Markus Zusak - This is a young adult book. It is an awe-inspiring story. I cried, laughed, smiled, and cried some more.
My Favorites:
I listed some already but I will try to give you two more.
1.Persuasion by Jane Austen - This is my favorite book, and I've read it multiple times. I noticed you've read Jane Austen before, and I don't know if it was a required reading kind of thing or if you picked it up on your own. I think you should give it a chance.
2.Blood Red Road by Moira Young - This is a book I've read recently, and I gave it five stars. I will probably read it again. It was tough to get into because there is no real punctuation except for periods and the like. It is also in a different dialect - this has to do with the main character who is narrating the story (it's in first person POV). Also, it is a young adult dystopian book.
From My TBR:
I am willing to read these with you if you want. I don't have any other explanation for picking them besides that they are on my TBR.
1.Night Pleasures by Sherrilyn Kenyon
2.Sword of Darkness by Sherrilyn Kenyon
3.Silence by Becca Fitzpatrick
4.Incarceron by Catherine Fisher

These are the books I'm going to try and read this month:

From Your TBR:
Rode Hard, Put Up Wet by Lorelei James. Not my favorite of the series, but I enjoyed it anyway. I don't know about you, but I am a little OCD (anal) about reading series in order! If you aren't as obsessed as I am, you could go ahead and skip (~shudders~) to Cowgirl Up and Ride or Tied Up, Tied Down. I thought they were better, but I think the start of the relationship in Tied Up, Tied Down has its beginnings in Cowgirl Up and Ride, so if it were me (and we have already established that I am a little compulsive about this) I would read Cowgirl first.
Something About You by Julie James. You liked Just the Sexiest Man Alive, I thought this was even better! Make sure you follow it up with A Lot Like Love! (Sometime, not necessarily right away, but make sure to read it!)
New to You:
The Perfect Play by Jaci Burton. I could recommend this for the cover alone, but I liked the story too! =) I mean seriously, just look!

Out Of Her League by Kaylea Cross. I read this last month and really enjoyed it! In fact I plan to read the next book in the series early this month!
And just to follow up with a couple of series - you read the first, but stopped there! I love both of these series and highly recommend continuing! Hard Evidence by Pamela Clare. I thought this was even better than the first book and I really liked the first book! Julian is one hero I want to dream about, night after night after night... Or how about One Foot in the Grave by Jeaniene Frost. You know you want to learn how the cliffhanger resolves, I promise there is a HEA! =) I think I fell for Bones even more in this book.
My Favorites: This was so hard to choose! (Or narrow down...)
The Darkest Hour by Maya Banks. I loved this book! It was a gripping emotional read with a tortured, but loving hero, a wounded yet strong heroine and suspense. I think it was one of my top books this year!
Flat-Out Sexy by ErinMcCarthy. I enjoyed this book so much I literally made a list of what I loved about it so I wouldn't forget! Another great hero - do you sense a theme? The way he fell for the heroine was so freakin' sweet! ~sigh~
Two more favorites from this last year, they aren't romance, but they carry that same feel good energy when you are finished! Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen and The Help by Kathryn Stockett, both are excellent stories and, if you are interested, they are both excellent in audio!
From My TBR:
I am planning to read Hot Head by Damon Suede this month and would be happy to do a buddy read with this one! This fits the bonus category on the Monthly Challenge! ;) I am also reading Before I Wake by Kathryn Smith and Quicksilver by Amanda Quick if you are interested.

I had fun looking through your book lists. We don't have a lot in common so I hope you like some of these recs. I noticed that you have a lot of YA so I chosen some of my favorites from ..."
Thank you Cathy !!
I'd love to do a buddy read for
Fitzwilliam Darcy, Rock Star with you ..
or, as second option I choose "Daughter of the Forest"..
I will send you a PM later :)

•It was fun going through all of your books shelves, but it was tricky doing picks for you! Everything I wanted to recommend you had already read!lol We have read a lot of the same authors/books, but I think I was able to find some books I think you will like!

♦Simply Irresistible by Rachel Gibson *I saw that you had read one of the most recent Chinhook Hockey books so I thought I would recommend the first! But really they are all amazing, and the 2nd and 3rd are my favorites
♦A Little Bit Wild by Victoria Dahl *You have read some of Victoria Dahl's Contemp. Romance and her Historical is just as good! This book is cute and fun!
♦First Grave on the Rightby Darynda Jones *I noticed that you said you have been meaning to read this one forever when you did your picks for Pam so I thought I would add it to you list! Plus, I ♥ ♥ ♥ this book! IT's got everything...Mystery, suspence, romance, and LOTS of humor!

♦Falling For Gracie by Susan Mallery *I noticed you like a varity of genres one of which is Contp. Romance. Susan Mallery is an author I discovered lately and she is amazing!!! Falling for Gracie is my fav. by her so far
♦Nice Girls Don't Have FangsMolly Harper *You have read on of her Naked Werewolf books but my fav. series by her is the Jane Jameson series. This is another very funny book☺

♦Magic Strikes by Ilona Andrews *One word for you...Curran! *sigh* Love this series, and it seems like your enjoying it too so I'm picking the next in the series.
♦And One Last Thing ... by Molly Harper *I recommended this book to group of people to read together recently and they all fell in love! One of the funniest books ever! It is I have to say in the top 5 of my all time favorite books☺
♦Ten Things I Love About You by Julia Quinn *This is my fav. Julia Quinn book and since you seem to like the Bridgerton series I think you'll enjoy this too!

♦Deeper Than Midnight by Lara Adrian *I have been meaning to get to this book, and I notice you had read all of them except the newest too!
♦ Good Girls Don't by Victoria Dahl *This is the first in a new series for her and I have been waiting for it to come out! I thought since you seem to like her Contemp. Romance you might enjoy her new series!
♦The Help by Kathryn Stockett *This is on both of our TBR and I have been really wanting to get around to this! Looks like it will be a really enjoyable read☺

Hope you found a good pick or two in there!
Happy REading,
Shellbelle☺

This was fun! I have tried my best to pick the right books (I hope).
I see you like erotica and gay romance.
I hope I made the right choice, if not send me a PM ;)
From their TBR :
Practice Makes Perfect : Modern Romance ( << this I recommend. sexy and super funny read! )
Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake : Romance - Regency ( IMO , one of the best regency out there.. if you like rakes ofcourse! ;) )
New to Them :
Hard Evidence : Mistery - Romance ( I read this and I thought was pretty good! Also, I am Italian, and the alpha-male-hero is half Italian too..well, as he says " from the waist down" ;) )
The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty : classic - erotica. BDMS. f/f m/m. ( well..I read this, but it is not everyone taste. check some of the reviews to have an idea.)
Your Favorites :
Lips Touch: Three Times YA - Fantasy ( I love-love-love this book. probably very different from anything you have ever read.)
Henry and June: From "A Journal of Love" - The Unexpurgated Diary of Anaïs Nin Classic -Diary - Erotica ( I have an obsession with Henry Miller. This is based on a true love affair. It's Paris. It's art. It's 1931..)

The Perfect Play : erotica
Delta of Venus : classic - erotica

It was interesting (in a good way) looking through your shelves. A while back, I read a lot of historicals & contemporaries with various other genres thrown into the mix. That has definitely shifted in the recent years to mainly PNR/UF, but it was nice to see old favorites on your read and TBR shelves.
2 books from your TBR
1. Guardian Angel by Julie Garwood -- She still remains one of my favorite historical authors. If I'm in need of a comfort read, I can always reread one of hers.
2. Sea Swept by Nora Roberts -- Another favorite author of mine and I'm particularly fond of the Quinn family from her Chesapeake Bay Saga.
Bonus Rec. Reckless by Amanda Quick -- This category was feeling lonely with only 2 recs, so I came back up to add another. LOL. I love that Jayne Anne Krentz has tied her Arcane Society series into three of her pen names (Quick for historicals, Krentz for contemporaries and Jayne Castle for futuristics), but occaisionaly I like to go back and reread some of her earlier work.
2 books new to you
1. Moon Awakening by Lucy Monroe -- While not quite a 5 star read, I enjoyed reading this book. It's a historical PNR and the style and character personalities reminded me of Julie Garwood.
2. Murder With Peacocks by Donna Andrews -- I noticed you read mysteries also and I thought I'd mention this cozy series. Meg Langslow is a blacksmith, the only truly sane one in her family and she keeps stumbling over dead bodies. I wasn't sure about her family at first and thought Meg let them boss her around just a little too much, but they grow on you. Enough so, that if they aren't a visisble presence in the book, I miss the comedy they provide.
Bonus Rec. Savor the Moment by Nora Roberts -- I noticed you're currently reading Bed of Roses, but this isn't on your TBR. You'll definitely want to finish this quartet of books.
2 books that are my favorites
1. The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie by Jennifer Ashley -- As previously stated, I don't read as many historicals as I used to, but this was an excellent standout. Ian's "madness" makes relationships difficult for him and others, but Beth's grounded personality makes her the perfect match for him.
2. The Negotiator by Dee Henderson -- I noticed a few Christian authors on your shelves and thought you would enjoy this series. I absolutely adore the O'Malley's, who met as children in an orphanage and decided to form their own family. There is a prequel that ties into this series, but I suggest starting with this book.
Another Bonus Rec. Touched by an Alien by Gini Koch -- I know SF and UF don't really make an appearance on your shelves, but I can't let an opportunity to rec this series pass me by. Gini Koch's books are loaded with LOL moments due to Kitty's slightly snarky humor.
While were at it, another bonus rec. Dragon Bound by Thea Harrison -- A recent 5 star read. This first in a new PNR series features a Dragon shifter.
2 books on my TBR
I found three historicals on my TBR that I wouldn't mind doing a Buddy read for, let me know.
1. Where Dreams Begin by Lisa Kleypas
2. Noble Intentions by Katie MacAlister
3. In the Prince's Bed by Sabrina Jeffries
Enjoy!
