It was an awesome book... a cynical character like Holden is a treat to read...

two questions? Why twice and then three quarters the third time? :D

Bukowski is one of my favourite poets.Had he written novels? I had no idea. My favourite poem by him is Raw With Love. It's phenomenal.
I didn't much like the choices she made in the end. first time was curious to know what happens, second time- a slower read to inhale the beauty of the writing. 3rd time after along gap- just to refresh the story

Looks a decent enough read, but all the references/sub-texts to explain the 'indian' words or cricket or food or just some customs.. all of this is a bit tiring to read, without them, probably the book would have shrunk by 30% at least! Still awaiting the partition

Adi, its in my to-read list"

I have added this new challenge in one of my placeholders so it didn't show up in the updates.

I finished "The Kingdom of Gods" this week and started reading "Deadhouse Gates". Next up is "Best Served Cold" by Joe Abercrombie.

Yes "An Indian"...just as I found the explanation of baseball interesting. Am about 55% through and still awaiting partition :D

Heyer is good, but a bit repetitive (as most authors are). Remember liking her Sprig Muslin..
