What Did You Finish Reading/What Are You Currently Reading?
I'm reading Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol. It's pretty good so far. Just your typical Dan Brown novel, which is always good! :)
Emily, I'm so glad to know I'm not the only one who hasn't read Little Women yet. I'm not reading it now, like you are, but I'll read it eventually.
I want to re-read Little Women (and the sequels). Ahh, so many books, so little time!I finished Mockingjay and am going to start East of Eden.
i finished twilight .. now i am going to classical romance stories after that i will return with wicked lovely series ...
I'm about 3/4 the way through House Rules. It's pretty interesting. A lot like Picoult's other books though.
Neen How was Paper Towns? It's on my tbr list, so I was just wondering.Just finished Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac. I really liked it, kind of a fluff read though. Starting Innocent Traitor next.
I haven't read Little Women either...but it's sitting on my shelf waiting to be read!I'm currently reading In a Sunburned Country. I'm only a couple chapters into it but I've already learned more about Australia then I ever did in school.
I liked paper towns, it has some down time.. but it's quite funny and one of those books you get to try to work out the clues as you go along, I like John Greens writing style.. i'd deffinatley suggest reading it atleast once =]
I'm currently reading The Crock of Gold. It's interesting, different. I'm also going to pick up Plath's journals again and some poetry, but I'm not sure whose.

We should all just read Little Women right away and then have a nice discussion about it. :)
Also, In a Sunburned Country is one of my favorite books ever, and I don't usually read non-fiction.
I just finished Inherit the Wind. I feel like I must immediately get my hot little hands on the movie because Gene Kelly is yummy. And I agree about starting an informal group reading of Little Women.
Lori wrote: "And I agree about starting an informal group reading of Little Women. "I think I'm going to start a thread for it in the "Let's Discuss This Book/Author" category, if anyone else wants to join me there.
Edit: There was already a thread for this book, so I revived it.
I am rereading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Pleasantly pleased that it's all still as good as I'd remembered! :)
@ Kelly I re-read that book 4x already and every time I re-read any book I find out I missed a little something.

I actually have a great idea. More will be revealed in the Group Reads folder.
I finished Storm Glass today and really enjoyed it, it's the first in a series that's a sort of sequel to the Poison Study series. I've already started the next one: Sea Glass.
Just finished The Kite Runner. Now I'm reading Charmed and Dangerous: The Rise of the Pretty Committee because I need to read something extremely different form The Kite Runner which was a great book by the way.
I just started Rebecca. It's so odd that the main character's name is never said, but at the very beginning Max de Winter says her name is "lovely and unusual", and the uniqueness of her name is mentioned other times as well. It's makes me so curious as to what it is, but it's to remain a mystery.
Caity wrote: "I've been reading The Art of Devotion and it is wonderful. The writing is very lyrical in style."I've been wanting to read this, but I can't seem to get my hands on a copy. It's driving me crazy. Stupid school library.
In other news, I have a copy of Mockingjay coming my way in the near future. A friend is lending it to me, and I'm lending her Snow Crash. I think she's getting the better end of the deal.

I finished Nobody Does the Right Thing and started Shiver.
Found out I am not as understanding and accepting of others as I thought I was. I really can't handle the social climate that was protrayed in Nobody.

finished Mockingjay starting Under the Dome and I have a feeling this may take a while.. I have to read it in small doses as just lifting the book hurts!
The book I'm reading now is sooooo important for all you youngen's to read before it's too late and you are overmedicated like most of America. It's called Overdosed America
, but the book I read before that was way more entertaining and thought provoking. It's called The Jefferson Project by Thor Duffin
. Do you think Thor is his real name? If it is that totally rocks and I want to name my firstborn something like that. Maybe Zues.
I just checked out The Bloody Chamber and Girl with a Pearl Earring from the library, and I requested The Mists of Avalon, which will hopefully be coming in eventually. The person who has it checked it out right now is a week late turning it in. I also have Kindred coming to me from paperbackswap and a friend is lending me Mockingjay. Lots and lots of books!I am still trying to finish Little Women. I will prevail!
Kimberly wrote: "Emily- I love Angela Carter. We read a lot of her stuff in British Lit."I am loving The Bloody Chamber so far. The writing is just fabulous. I think I might get something else of hers once I'm done with this one.
Emily wrote: I am still trying to finish Little Women. I will prevail!Ha,ha. Little Women was slow reading for me too. Part One went pretty fast, but it took me almost a month to read Part Two.
I've been thinking of reading The Bloody Chamber by Angela Carter sometime soon too... Either that or The Infernal Desire Machines of Doctor Hoffman. They look really interesting.Anyway, I'm currently reading Decline and Fall. Haven't read any Waugh for ages and ages, I've really missed his awesomeness.
Just finished Numb, which I won as a Goodreads giveaway. I'm moving on to The Yiddish Policemen's Union now. I started it back in June and have not been able to get into it but my book neurosis has kicked in and won't let me move on to something else until I finish it.
Kelsey wrote: "I keep trying to read Michael Chabon, but I can never get into any of his books!"I read The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay awhile ago and found it to be pretty interesting. This one I just can't get into. I'm about 100 pages in and really have no idea what's going on because I keep zoning out.
I just finished The Great Gatsby for the Autmn/Winter challenge, and I'm starting Scorch Atlas for the same. So far Scorch Atlas is amazingly creepy and cool, I couldn't recommend it enough!
Finished Charlotte's Web yesterday, can't believe I've never read it until now! It was a very touching story and I can definitely see why it's a classic. I really enjoyed it.Today I found The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (English translation) in the library so I've started that. I've been wanting to read the original novel ever since I saw the anime series.
Ayanami- I thought Haruhi was just one of those visual novel game things. Interesting.I finished The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. It wasn't as good as I was expecting it to be. I felt like it was just trying too hard. I'm going to read the next book though.
I'm currently reading Mistborn: The Final Empire.

Finished it! Amazing book, and I literally flew through it in a day. I highly recommend it.
Right now I'm reading Jilliane Hoffman's Pretty Little Things.
