Jim son of Jim (formerly PhotoJim) (jim_formerly_photojim) | 5294 comments Lady Allison, I'm stopping back to the room from the beach for a quick shower and a nap. I'm hoping to get to picks for you this afternoon.

Alexis (teacher2013) Miss I will have your picks up tonight! I have to go to work in about ten minutes and that's not enough time to do you justice... but first thing I do when I get home is get your picks up!

Melanie (melaina) | 1339 comments Freya
I hope you'll like the books I'm recommending! You only had 37 books on your TBR, and 83 books in common!! I tried to pick books that were mainly on your TBR, but I added in some other books too! If you'd rather I picked all your books from your TBR, let me know and I'll repost!!

1. Sun
Desire Untamed by Pamela Palmer was a great start to a new PNR series! Lyon was such a great hero! I got hooked and read the next three books in less than 24hrs, lol!
Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie is another book I gave 5* to: hilarious moments, a great hero and gutsy (and curvy!) heroine! Unbelievable, yes, but oh, so fun! when you need a little pick-me-up!

2. Moon
We don't have many series in common, but I'd definitely recommend you read another book by Julie Garwood (you gave 4* to The Bride), one of my fave HR authors: The Prize or The Lions Lady were two that immediately jumped to mind.

3. Mars
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak - not a romance, but a heart-wrenching story that will have you in tears (if you're anything like me).. An amazing book!

4. Mercury

Night Pleasures by Sherrilyn Kenyon is the only "short" (336p) I can actually recommend, since I haven't read any of the shorter ones on your TBR other than the Sookie Stackhouse books, and you didn't like the first!
This first book in the Dark-Hunter series is fabulous however, and will (hopefully!) get you hooked onto the rest of those sexy immortals!:-D

5. Jupiter
OK... ***rubs hands together gleefully*** now we're cookin'! These are not from your TBR, but were all books I adored.
You have a couple HRs on your TBR, but the following are definitely worth reading, IMO:

Comanche Moon or Annie's Song by Catherine Anderson: the first is this beautiful, epic, "almost bodice-ripper" love story, and the second's premise is unusual, with a deaf heroine who was raped by the hero's brother (I know, I know.. the premise isn't fabulous, and I was really reluctant to read it, but I definitely don't regret it!)
I didn't see any romantic suspense on your shelves, so I'm going to recommend a "classic" RS (in the top 100 AAR romance list): Mr. Perfect by Linda Howard, which is the perfect blend of mystery, humor, and romance.
Unusual plot wise, I would definitely recommend the following two:
Kiss an Angel: you have it all - an arranged marriage in a contemporary romance, a virgin heroine, a Russian royalty hero with a stone heart, and a circus setting.. Once again, it sounds like a bad movie, but this book is amazing!! Daisy and Alex are one of my favorite couples ever! The book had me laughing, crying, and finally happily sighing at the end:-D
Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen is peculiar, IMO, and I really didn't think I'd enjoy it so much: romance, sisterhood, old lovers and a touch of enchantment make up a great book!

6. Venus
Dark Lover by JR Ward is one of the most popular (and steamiest) books on your TBR, and yowza! are those Brothers HAWT!! (wait till you get to the third book!!)

7. Saturn
Lisa Kleypas always does it for me, so I'm going to go ahead and recommend Secrets of a Summer Night (which is on your TBR), or Dreaming of You (which isn't).. Both wonderful comfort reads I've gone through half a dozen times each:-)

Buddy Reads

8. Asteroid
Slave to Sensation has been on my shelves for quite a while now (I bought it years ago!), and I've been gearing up towards reading it, if you want to do a buddy read:-)

9. Comet
Lessons in French caught my eye - I love the cover, and I enjoy Laura Kinsale.. Furthermore, I actually have this book on my shelves at home:-) So once again, let me know if you'd be interested in doing a buddy read of this one!!!

Voilà! Hope you'll find something interesting to read!!!! Enjoy!

D.G. | 4477 comments Thanks to everybody that has volunteered for repicking but at this point, let's concentrate on doing the assigned picks. :)

We have a group of around 100 people and I'm not very good at multitasking, which means I need to put all my effort into making sure that everything is working alright. :) Once we're getting close to the July 2nd deadline, then I'll be able to keep track of the volunteers. :)

D.G. | 4477 comments Diane ~Firefly~,

Picking for you was a challenge on its own! Although we read a lot of the same things, you tend to go deeper into your favorite genres when I tend to be broader (which makes me want to give people a selection of genres.) I really hope you find something there you like.

READ THE (CLASSICAL) PLANETS
1. Sun (star)
Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen. I read this author for the first time last year and simply fell in love with her writing. I'm reading her latest as we speak and really enjoying it.

2. Moon (satellite)River Marked by Patricia Briggs OR Doom with a View by Victoria Laurie. River Marked is not on your TBR but as you've already read the 5 books that came before it and really liked them, I figured you just forgot to add it for some crazy reason. But if you HAD a reason not to add it, then I suggest you continue reading the Psychic Eye series. I'm up to date in the series and the books have gotten better IMO.

3. Mars (same symbol as male gender)The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. This is one of my favorite books of last year. The language is simply beautiful!

4. Mercury (smallest planet) - Sleeping Murder (224 pgs.) OR Murder at the Vicarage by Agatha Christie (240 pgs.): Sleeping Murder is my absolute favorite Miss Marple book but it's the last in the series. Now, I don't think it's necessary to read Agatha Christie books as they were written (the main detectives in her stories stay pretty much the same and past books are rarely referred to) but if you are a stickler for reading series in order, then please check out Murder at the Vicarage which is still very good.

5. Jupiter (outer planet)Three Bags Full: A Sheep Detective Story by Leonie Swann. Yup...you read it right. This is a book about a flock of sheep investigating a murder. The story is so delightful...it always makes me happy whenever I think of it.

6. Venus (hottest planet)The Host by Stephenie Meyer. I saw you read Twilight and didn't continue the series (I wish I'd done the same...I want that time back!) but The Host is a really great book and so much better than the famous sparkly vampire book so please give it a try! It's the only book I've read that I wanted to re-read the minute I finished it.

7. Saturn (rings)Till Next We Meet by Karen Ranney. This book has one of my favorite tropes: hero writes love letters to heroine under assumed name a la Cyrano de Bergerac ***sighhhhhhhhhhhhh***. It's one of my few keepers and everytime I read it, it melts my heart.

OTHER SOLAR SYSTEM BODIES (BUDDY READS)
8. Asteroid (in my TBR for a while):
Immortal Warrior by Lisa Hendrix OR When You Are Engulfed in Flames by David Sedaris. Very different books but I thought they might be your cup of tea.

9. Comet (caught my eye): Cast in Shadow by Michelle Sagara West. The one that actually caught my eye was the second in the series but I guess we should start at the beginning. :)

Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen River Marked (Mercedes Thompson, #6) by Patricia Briggs Doom with a View (Psychic Eye Mystery, #7) by Victoria Laurie The Name of the Wind (Kingkiller Chronicle, #1) by Patrick Rothfuss Sleeping Murder by Agatha Christie Murder at the Vicarage (Miss Marple #1) by Agatha Christie Three Bags Full by Leonie Swann The Host (The Host, #1) by Stephenie Meyer Till Next We Meet by Karen Ranney Immortal Warrior (Immortal Brotherhood, #1) by Lisa Hendrix When You Are Engulfed in Flames by David Sedaris Cast in Shadow (Chronicles of Elantra, #1) by Michelle Sagara West

SandyC (sandyc88) | 1287 comments Hello there, Lethal Lovely! I enjoyed browsing your very impressive shelves.

Below are my picks for you, but if nothing sounds good I am happy to recommend more.

1. Sun (star): I gave 5 stars to The Book Thief. Looks like you've been avoiding this, but maybe now you're more in the mood?

2. Moon (satellite): Looks like you enjoyed the first three books in the Outlander series, so why not continue with Drums of Autumn and find out what happens to Jamie and Claire. Roger and Bree also play a large role in this one.

3. Mars (same symbol as male gender): One Day by David Nicholls is not on your TBR, but I think it's a great book you would enjoy. I find myself recommending this every month.

4. Mercury (smallest planet): I am choosing
Texas Men since I'm a native Texan.

5. Jupiter (outer planet): I didn't see much in the way of epic fantasy on your shelves, so I am choosing A Game of Thrones for this category. I just finished it Sunday and gave it 5 stars.

6. Venus (hottest planet): I didn't find the wildly popular The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo on your shelves. I was surprised by how much I liked it. If you're more in the mood for steamy, Long Hard Ride is on your TBR, and you've liked other books in that series.

7. Saturn (rings): Many contemporary romances have disappointed me, but I really enjoyed Match Me If You Can. It's part of a series but can definitely be read as a stand-alone. You won't be disappointed!

OTHER SOLAR SYSTEM BODIES (BUDDY READS)
8. Asteroid: I am planning to read The Passage on my road trip next week. (I'm so excited!)

9. Comet: I've heard many good things about Sarah Dessen's writing, so I would read What Happened to Goodbye with you.

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak Drums of Autumn (Outlander, #4) by Diana Gabaldon One Day by David Nicholls Texas Men by Delilah Devlin A Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire, #1) by George R.R. Martin The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (Millennium, #1) by Stieg Larsson Long Hard Ride (Rough Riders, #1) by Lorelei James Match Me If You Can (Chicago Stars, #6) by Susan Elizabeth Phillips The Passage (The Passage, #1) by Justin Cronin What Happened to Goodbye by Sarah Dessen

Heather (messybar) | 189 comments Happy early July, Lorena!

READ THE (CLASSICAL) PLANETS
1. Sun - To Die For by Linda Howard. Blair is my Southern Belle Hero. Very entertaining.
2. Moon -2 Ooptions: 1- Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins. This series impacted me on a very deep level. I hope you continue with the series! OR 2- This Side of the Grave by Jeaniene Frost. LOVE THIS SERIES. That's all I got. lol
3. Mars - The Passage by Justin Cronin. I haven't read it yet, but it seems interesting.
4. Mercury - The Cinderella Plan by Heather Webber. I thought this was a sweet, quick short story.
5. Jupiter - The Girl's Guide to Homelessness by Brianna Karp. I saw this in your TBR and did a double take. Thought it was deserving of this spot for that reason alone.
6. Venus - Darkfever by Karen Marie Moning. I think this one covers the popular and steamy qualifications.
7. Saturn - The Flame and the Flower by Kathleen E. Woodiwiss. I saw that you had another of her books in your TBR list. This is one of my all-time favorite romance books, so I hope you give it a go.

BUDDY READS
8. Asteroid - City of Bones by Cassandra Clare. This has been rec'd to me many times and haven't gotten around to starting it. As it was on your TBR list too, if you're interested, would love to take a shot at it this month.
9. Comet - Die for Me by Amy Plum. Sounds highly intriguing. Willing to give it a go.

To Die For (Blair Mallory, #1) by Linda Howard Catching Fire (Hunger Games, #2) by Suzanne Collins This Side of the Grave (Night Huntress, #5) by Jeaniene Frost The Passage (The Passage, #1) by Justin Cronin The Cinderella Plan by Heather Webber The Girl's Guide to Homelessness by Brianna Karp Darkfever (Fever, #1) by Karen Marie Moning The Flame and the Flower by Kathleen E. Woodiwiss City of Bones (Mortal Instruments #1) by Cassandra Clare Die for Me (Revenants, #1) by Amy Plum

Let me know what peaks your fancy, if any.
Enjoy

I agree. :)

For me, it makes it difficult to pick when the person hasn't rated that many books because I don't have a clue what they like! :)

I will have your picks up by tonight- looking forward to peeking at your shelves :)

message 161: by Mandy (last edited Jun 28, 2011 01:13PM) (new)

Mandy (mandypants) Leanne, I saw a lot of Julia Quinn and Lisa Kleypas on your read lists. So, I tried to throw more historical romances in my picks.

1. Sun- A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin. There wasn't anything on your TBR list that I have given five stars. So, this had the highest rating of books on your list.

2. Moon- The Orchid Affair by Lauren Willig. If you've made it to book seven, I would say you like the series. :-)

3. Mars- Let the Right One in by John Ajvide Lindqvist. I swear they change the title of this book with every new edition. Horror isn't my normal stomping grounds, but this was pretty good.

4. Mercury-The Devil's Arithmetic by Jane Yolen. At 176 pages, this was the shortest book on your TBR list.

5. Jupiter- The Iron Duke by Meljean Brook. Steampunk mixed with romance topped with appearances of kraken and zombies. Um, yeah. I would say it falls under "original premise." I loved it, though.

6. Venus- Ruthless by Anne Stuart. Historical romance with a bad boy hero and a bit of steam.

7. Saturn-If You Dare by Kresley Cole. She's one of my favorite authors. This one is a historical romance. But, if you ever feel the need to venture into paranormal romance, give Cole's series a try.

8. Asteroid- The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie by Jennifer Ashley.

9. Comet-Witches of East End by Melissa de la Cruz.

Let me know if you want to read either of the buddy reads!

A Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire, #1) by George R.R. Martin The Orchid Affair (Pink Carnation, #7) by Lauren Willig Let the Right One in by John Ajvide Lindqvist The Devil's Arithmetic (Puffin Modern Classics) by Jane Yolen The Iron Duke (Iron Seas, #1) by Meljean Brook Ruthless (The House of Rohan, #1) by Anne Stuart If You Dare (MacCarrick Brothers, #1) by Kresley Cole The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie (Highland Pleasures, #1) by Jennifer Ashley Witches of East End (The Beauchamp Family) by Melissa de la Cruz

message 162: by Amy J. (new)

Amy J. | 349 comments Hey Melissa** it looks like I'm going to be picking for you for the second consecutive month. With these picks I've tried to avoid making the same recommendations I made last month. I've mostly succeeded. So without further ado, my July picks for you.

1. Sun- There were only two books (Bitten & Dead Reckoning) on your TBR pile that I've read, neither of which earned five stars. So I'm going to go with a highly rated book that I've been meaning to read: Night Pleasures. I know there's a prequel, but most people I've talked to say it's not worth reading.

2. Moon- You seem to really enjoy the Plum series so I think you should get yourself a copy of Smokin' Seventeen. It's on your wishlist. Or you could go with Lost in Time. I've only read the 1st book in that series, but I enjoyed it.

3. Mars- This category gave me trouble you only have one male author on your TBR list and that book hasn't been released yet. So I'm giving you a different book by the same author The Summer Guest. Or you could go with a strong male lead and read Beyond the Highland Mist, which is the only repeat recommendation in this list.

4. Mercury- Blood Work: An Original Hollows Graphic Novel- I'm fairly new to graphic novels, but the few I've read have been very good.

5. Jupiter- The Egg Said Nothing is probably the strangest book I've ever read! It's out there, but I thought it was enjoyable. Other recommendations include The Eyre Affair, I, Robot, and Choke

6. Venus- I haven't read either of these, but the descriptions sounded so good that they are now both on my TBR: The Darkest Night and Angels' Blood

7. Saturn- I must admit I'm not sure about the "make you sigh" bit, but here are a few of my favorite romance novels: Jane Eyre, North and South, Outlander

BUDDY READS
8. Asteroid- I'd be happy to read either Pleasure Unbound or Dangerous Cravings with you.

9. And both Dogs and Goddesses and Cry Wolf sound like they'd be great reads.

Bitten (Women of the Otherworld, #1) by Kelley Armstrong Dead Reckoning (Sookie Stackhouse, #11) by Charlaine Harris Smokin' Seventeen by Janet Evanovich Lost in Time (Blue Bloods, #6) by Melissa de la Cruz The Summer Guest by Justin Cronin Beyond the Highland Mist (Highlander, #1) by Karen Marie Moning Blood Work An Original Hollows Graphic Novel by Kim Harrison The Egg Said Nothing by Caris O'Malley The Eyre Affair (Thursday Next, #1) by Jasper Fforde , I, Robot by Isaac Asimov Choke by Chuck Palahniuk The Darkest Night (Lords of the Underworld, #1) by Gena Showalter Angels' Blood (Guild Hunter, #1) by Nalini Singh Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë , North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell Outlander (Outlander, #1) by Diana Gabaldon Pleasure Unbound (Demonica, #1) by Larissa Ione Dangerous Cravings by Evangeline Anderson Dogs and Goddesses by Jennifer Crusie Cry Wolf (Alpha & Omega, #1) by Patricia Briggs

KimKirt | 1638 comments Hi Heather B,

Here are my picks for you, hope you can find something you like out of these:

1. Sun: Lover Mine by J.R. Ward. This one has a 4.40 average rating and I'm sure it won't disappoint. I'm looking forward to John and Xhex's story myself. I have one to go in the series before getting there.

2. Moon: Hard Evidence by Pamela Clare. #2 in the I-Team series. I've actually read #4. I'm bad to read books out of order, except for the aforementions BDB series.

3. Mars: Tourist Season by Carl Hiaasen. Or any book by him actually. He has a quirky style of writing that I enjoy.

4. Mercury: His Eyes by Renee Carter. I've not read it, but looks like a good, quick read. 196 pages.

5. Jupiter: Hounded by Kevin Hearne. Iron Druid Chronicles. I actually just finished this a few weeks ago and REALLY enjoyed it. Try it!

6. Venus: Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen. Saw this on your TBR. Hope you haven't seen the movie yet, the books are always better. But actually, the movie was pretty true to the book. This is a popular book which is why I picked it for this category.

7. Saturn: He Loves Lucy by Susan Donovan. This author is hit or miss with me, but I really thought this was a really cute romance. If this doesn't float your boat, anything by Catherine Anderson always makes me sigh!

8. Asteroid: The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie by Jennifer Ashley. Seems this has been floating around my TBR forever and I see it's on yours as well. We can give each other the push to read it.

9. Comet: A Lot Like Love by Julie James. I just read one of her books and wouldn't mind reading another.

So there you go! If you pick a buddy read, can you just pick one and not both? I'm not sure I would have time to get both finished along with my other challenges in a month. Thanks! Looking forward to hearing what you pick!

Kim

1. Sun

Lover Unbound - There is no way you can read the first 4 books and stop.

3. Mars
Halfway to the Grave - Bones is by far my favorite male character out of any book.
Darkfever - Jerrihco Barrons is my second favorite.
Two very awesome series!! If you decide on Darkfever don't stop after the first book because the series as a whole will blow your socks off!!

4. Mercury
Just the Sexiest Man Alive - I wasn't sure what you might consider a short book. But this book was a very easy read and it made me smile and laugh. I really like all of Julie James' books.

5. Jupiter
One Day - This was definitley different from what I usually read.

6. Venus
The Hunger Games - You just need to read this.
Addicted - Very steamy!!

7. Saturn

I would really like to buddy read Pleasure Unbound and Dogs and Goddesses. I think I'm going to with The Darkest Night and possibly Night Pleasures or Bitten. Desperado (lethallovely) | 822 comments Hello, Cathy!
Here are my picks for you. I hope that you'll be able to find something you are interested in. If not, I'm more than happy to make more recommendations.

1. Sun:
Suddenly You by Lisa Kleypas-I'm a very big fan of Kleypas & I'm stingy as hells with my 5-★ ratings. Her books have managed to earn quite a few of them.

2. Moon:
Dark Needs at Night's Edge by Kresley Cole-Why not continue this wonderful series by the amazing Kresley Cole?

3. Mars:
Ice Blue by Anne Stuart-I'm not all that hot for romantic suspense novels but Stuart writes some of the best I've ever read. This book is my favorite in her "Ice" series.

4. Mercury:
Strong, Silent Type by Lorelei James-I've been meaning to read this novella for awhile but since I'm not a fan of short stories, it's been hard to get in the mood. Why not read it & tell me what you think?

5. Jupiter:
Across the Universe by Beth Revis-A PIFM challenge wouldn't be complete without a novel set in space!

6. Venus:
Queen of Shadows by Dianne Sylvan-I heard so many good things about this book last year. Because of that, I was afraid I'd be disappointed. Lucky for me, it lived up to my expectations!

7. Saturn:
Tied Up, Tied Down by Lorelei James-I know you haven't gotten far in this series yet but I urge to read this book NOW! It was my first LJ book & it blew me away. The hero, Kade, is so dreamy.

Buddy Reads (these books are from BOTH of our TBRs)

8. Asteroid:
The Gathering by Kelley Armstrong

9. Comet:
The Becoming by Jeanne C. Stein

Suddenly You by Lisa Kleypas Dark Needs at Night's Edge (Immortals After Dark, #5) by Kresley Cole Ice Blue (Ice, #3) by Anne Stuart Strong, Silent Type (Rough Riders #6.5) by Lorelei James Across the Universe (Across the Universe, #1) by Beth Revis Queen of Shadows (Shadow World, #1) by Dianne Sylvan Tied Up, Tied Down (Rough Riders, #4) by Lorelei James The Gathering (Darkness Rising, #1) by Kelley Armstrong The Becoming (Anna Strong Chronicles, #1) by Jeanne C. Lorena | 21 comments Hi, Livy, here you go. Hope you like :)

1. Sun (star) – North of Beautiful by Justina Chen Headley, I saw this was on your TBR and I must say I really loved this book, a must read.

2. Moon (satellite) – Mockingjay You've read the first two in the trilogy and rated them pretty high.

3. Mars (same symbol as male gender) – The Angel Experiment I've yet to read it but I've heard it's pretty good.

4. Mercury (smallest planet) - Grave Sight by Charlaine Harris was one of the shortest on your TBR

5. Jupiter (outer planet) – Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma is in your TBR pile and does seem a bit out there with its sister/brother relationship. Or The Silver Kiss by Annette Curtis Klause I really liked it. I picked this one because you gave her other book a low rating so maybe give it another try.

Amanda (daughterofoak) | 44 comments Tugce Nida- Here are my picks for you! Not everything is romance, but I hope you will find something you might like. I tried to give a little variety.

1. Sun (star) – I chose Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer because it is one of my all-time favorite books.

2. Moon (satellite) – I picked Covet by J.R. Ward because it is a great book by a great author.

3. Mars (same symbol as male gender) – The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss is one of my favorite fantasy books. I saw it in your TBR pile and knew I had to include it!
If you want something that is more of a romance, then
Never Romance a Rake by Liz Carlyle has a strong(sexy) male character.

4. Mercury (smallest planet) - The Warlord Wants Forever by Kresley Cole seems like a good read!

5. Jupiter (outer planet) – I chose Mort by Terry Pratchett because I think that Terry Pratchett should be required reading ;)

6. Venus (hottest planet) – About A Dragon by G.A. Aiken is a steamy little book with sexy dragons, witches, and blood-thirsty queens. What's not to love?

7. Saturn (rings) – I loved The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie by Jennifer Ashley and Whispers of the Night by Lydia Joyce. They still make me sigh, even after all this time.

Sue (knitwitsl) | 226 comments Reyl - I really enjoyed going through all of your lists. Hopefully there is something here you will like to read in July.

1. Sun (star)Kiss of Snow by Nalini Singh. This is the only book that is on your TBR list that you haven’t read and I’ve rated 5 stars!

2. Moon (satellite)Magic Slays by Ilona Andrews. I see you like this series as much as I do! And since you have the newest one on your TBR list, I think it’s worth reading in July.

3. Mars (same symbol as male gender)The Blade of Shattered Hope by James Dashner. This book looks interesting, and I see you’ve read the first two in the series and enjoyed them.

4. Mercury (smallest planet)Silent Blade by Ilona Andrews. This book is only 42 pages long and we both seem to like this author a lot. So I thought it was a fitting choice!

5. Jupiter (outer planet)The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde. I thought the idea behind this book was really interesting/funny. It’s different from what you have on your lists, but I think you might like it.

6. Venus (hottest planet)A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin. My husband and coworker both have asked me if I have this book for them to borrow (I don’t), but I’ve heard it’s very good.

7. Saturn (rings)Getting Rid of Bradley by Jennifer Crusie. This is one of my favorite happy romantic books!

8. Asteroid - Moon Dance by J.R. Rain. I’ve only had it on my list for a couple of months, but it looks interesting and like the type of books you have enjoyed.

9. Comet - I Know Not by James Daniel Ross. There actually were a few books that caught my eye on your TBR list, but I have already recommended those! So, I picked this book because it looks interesting.

Emily May (emily-may) Picks for Kimberley

Hi there, you have so many great books on your shelves, I really hope I pick some that you'll love!

1. Sun (star)Darkfever by Karen Marie Moning. I am so completely in love with this series, I devoured all 5 books in one week and I have to recommend this series to everyone I know :)

2. Moon (satellite) – Lover Unbound by J.R. Ward. Most people can't resist a bit of the BDB and I noticed that you rated the rest of the series highly. This book surprised me by being such a favourite because I hadn't previously connected with the character of Vishous.

3. Mars (same symbol as male gender) – Halfway to the Grave by Jeaniene Frost. This series is delicious and as far as male characters go Bones is one of the best. I'm confident you will adore this series.

4. Mercury (smallest planet) - Into the Dreaming by Karen Marie Moning. This is only a tiny book (a world book day special, I think) but I saw that you enjoyed another of Moning's highlander books and this is a great addition to the series.

5. Jupiter (outer planet) – Beauty Queens by Libba Bray. This plot is very 'out there' and original, it also happens to be my favourite Libba Bray novel. It's funny, touching and contains hundreds of subliminal messages.

6. Venus (hottest planet) – The Harlot by Saskia Walker. This is a very steamy book that combines sexy scenes with touching romance. I imagine it as a 19th century version of the film 'Pretty Woman'.

7. Saturn (rings) – Any of the following bu Julie James: Just the Sexiest Man Alive, Something About You, Practice Makes Perfect or A Lot Like Love. These are really great, sweet and funny romantic reads with witty banter and happy endings.

OTHER SOLAR SYSTEM BODIES (BUDDY READS)
8. Asteroid: A Hunger Like No Other by Kresley Cole. This has been lurking on my shelf for a while and I always mean to read it but never get around to it. This might be a good opportunity for us both to read this, especially as you seem to like paranormal/vampire romances too.

9. Comet: First Grave on the Right by Darynda Jones. I saw this on your shelf and it looks exactly like my kinda thing. I've already added it to my TBR list :)

If you have any problems/questions please let me know!

Darkfever (Fever, #1) by Karen Marie Moning Lover Unbound (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #5) by J.R. Ward Halfway to the Grave (Night Huntress, #1) by Jeaniene Frost Into the Dreaming (Highlander, #8) by Karen Marie Moning Beauty Queens by Libba Bray The Harlot by Saskia Walker Just the Sexiest Man Alive by Julie James Something About You by Julie James Practice Makes Perfect by Julie James A Lot Like Love by Julie James A Hunger Like No Other (Immortals After Dark, #2) by Kresley Cole First Grave on the Right (Charley Davidson, #1) by Darynda Jones

message 184: by Penney (new)

Penney (pschoener) | 3553 comments Hi Pollyanna!

Let me just say that there were soooo many books I wanted to recommend to you. I had a huge list, but I think I restrained myself. Here we go...

1. Sun (star) ~ I don't give out 5 stars very often, but you happen to have a few of mine on your TBR. I had a hard time narrowing it down so... Angels' Blood, Halfway to the Grave and Naked in Death, three absolutely incredible series!
Angels' Blood (Guild Hunter, #1) by Nalini Singh Halfway to the Grave (Night Huntress, #1) by Jeaniene Frost Naked in Death (In Death #1) by J.D. Robb

2. Moon (satellite) ~ You gave both Outlander (Cross Stitch) and City of Bones 5 stars but you didn't continue either series. Both City of Ashes and Dragonfly in Amber are excellent continuances of two great series.
City of Ashes (Mortal Instruments #2) by Cassandra Clare Dragonfly in Amber (Outlander, #2) by Diana Gabaldon

3. Mars (same symbol of male gender) ~ It's hard to find a male romance author, but Ilona Andrews is actually a husband and wife team. Magic Bites is the first in an incredible series that has both strong female and male characters.
Magic Bites (Kate Daniels, #1) by Ilona Andrews

4. Mercury (smallest planet) ~ The Warlord Wants Forever is actually the prequel to A Hunger Like No Other, which is the beginning of the Immortals After Dark series. It also only has 113 pages.
The Warlord Wants Forever (Immortals After Dark, #1) by Kresley Cole

5. Jupiter (outer planet) ~ Ok, I wanted to go way out of your comfort zone, but still find something I think you'd like. Faith & Fidelity is a M/M book, but not erotica. It's a realistic look at two men who unexpectedly find themselves attracted to each other. It's a very, very touching story. It was recommended to me by Dee in another PIFM challenge and I loved it.
Faith & Fidelity (Faith, Love, & Devotion, #1) by Tere Michaels

6. Venus (hottest planet) ~ Some Girls Bite is the first in the Chicagoland Vampire series. I just started it last week and I'm currently reading number 3. There are 4 books in the series with the 5th coming out in November. I know I should slow down and savor them, but I just can't stop.
Some Girls Bite (Chicagoland Vampires, #1) by Chloe Neill

7. Saturn (rings) ~ I have way too many romance novels on my Read List that make me sigh, it's the reason I read them. But a recent read that happens to be on your TBR is A Discovery of Witches. I didn't expect it to be a book that would make me sigh, but it did, as well as make me laugh and cry. The only bad thing I could say about this book is that it's a true, cliffhanger trilogy and I have to wait way too long for the next installment.
A Discovery of Witches (All Souls Trilogy, #1) by Deborah Harkness

BUDDY READS
8. Asteroid ~ I read and enjoyed Soulless back in the summer and have been wanting to move on to the second installment, Changeless, for quite a while now. I'll be reading it for another challenge next month, so if you'd like, you can read it with me :)
Changeless (The Parasol Protectorate, #2) by Gail Carriger

9. Comet ~ I really enjoyed Cassandra Clare's City of Bones series and I noticed you had Clockwork Angel on your TBR. I loved to start this series, but unfortunately I won't have time to fit in this month. I will be putting it on my TBR however.
Clockwork Angel (Infernal Devices #1) by Cassandra Clare

Happy Reading!!!

Wow Lisa - great picks! I want to read all of them!

However I need to try to tie in my final choice to my monthly challenge so I'll get back to you, but I'm very tempted by both the buddy reads, Desire Unchained, Taken ('cos it is short and easy to knock off :) and the Julie Garwoods (I'm about due to read another one of her books!)

Thanks :)

message 188: by Vi (last edited Jun 28, 2011 08:01PM) (new)

Vi | 2813 comments Hi KarenH,

When I was looking through your shelves, I realized a few things - (like there are many on your shelves that I've read but too lazy to add) but the main thing was how contemporary with a dash of historical and paranormal seems to be your (current) preference. I have to go through your list again to add the books to my TBR. Well, lets get down to your picks.

1. Sun (star): OK, so there were quite a few books in your TBR that I loved but the top ones are Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie and Public Secrets by Nora Roberts. So Bet me has a unusual heroine (Min) who will just make you laugh. The book is a highly enjoyable contemporary and the interactions between the h/H will make you laugh. Public Secrets, on the other hand, though a contemporary is not as light-hearted as Bet Me. NR deals with domestic abuse in this book. This book made me feel along with the main character.

2. Moon (satellite): I see you have enjoyed immensely the first book in the Lucky Harbour series by Jill Shalvis. Why not continue the next book? (I should too!) - The Sweetest Thing. Or continue with Naked Edge by Pamela Clare's I Team series. Or the Blaze of Memory by Nalini Singh. You only have two books until Play of Passion and then the awesome Kiss of Snow. Or you can read all the three! =P

3. Mars (same symbol as male gender): Ok, so I'm going to cheat here a bit: Ilona Andrews technically is a husband and wife team. So definitely half a guy. And Magic Burns has Curran who is definitely a strong male lead. I know you liked Magic Bites, so keep reading. The series get better. Archangel's Kiss also has a very strong male lead and a kick-ass heroine who is trying to kick ass in this book. I know both of them are UF/PN, but really, both of them have superb lead characters.

4. Mercury (smallest planet): See, one of the surprises of browsing in your shelves was that I saw the books that I've read but forgotten about it. Lessons in Love is one such book. it's a short, sweet story and I remember enjoying it. Another rec would be from one of my favorite category writers - Sarah Mayberry. You should read Anything for You which was my first book of hers but you do have Hot Island Nights on your TBR.

5. Jupiter (outer planet): I had a hard time with this mainly because my initial recs were too many. I've restricted myself to two but it was very hard! Ok, first up is one of my favorite UF - Rosemary and Rue by Seanan McGuire. The world is awesome and the fae myths interesting. Another favorite fantasy series is Lord of the Fading Lands by C. L. Wilson. This is an epic fantasy romance which spans over 5 books. I just finished my re-read a few weeks back and I still love it. I picked up Hourglass recently because of the cover. But it turns out that the book is also damn good. It's a YA, action packed contemporary with science fiction and paranormal added in. And romance. Well, with all the genres, the execution might have failed. But not this one. It delivers. And I lied. I restricted myself to three.

6. Venus (hottest planet): SO I haven't read the books I'm going to recommend in this category but I have heard very good things about them: Sweet Surrender by Maya Banks and Backstage Pass by Olivia Cunning. I know they are both hot and steamy and both of them in your TBR. So give them a try, won't you?

7. Saturn (rings): Ah, sweet romance books. After going through your TBR, I know I had to recommend these books: Smooth Talking Stranger by Lisa Kleypas - I loved Ella and Jack, but especially Ella. Perfect relaxed reading. Another one was Carnal Innocence by Nora Roberts. One of my favorite of hers. You can't go wrong with either of them.

Buddy Reads:

8. Asteroid: OK, I'm going to be reading (probably) How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf and mostly Beast by Judith Ivory next month for the monthly challenge.

9. Comet: I found My False Heart by Liz Carlyle in your TBR which was a book I read and enjoyed last year but forgotten about. I might be re-reading it if time permits.

Well, KarenH, those are your picks. I did try to restrain myself, but I don't think it worked.. But if they don't work for you, I'm happy to re-pick. Happy Reading!

Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie Public Secrets by Nora Roberts The Sweetest Thing (Lucky Harbor, #2) by Jill Shalvis Naked Edge (I-Team, #4) by Pamela Clare Blaze of Memory (Psy-Changeling, #7) by Nalini Singh Magic Burns (Kate Daniels Series #2) by Ilona Andrews Archangel's Kiss (Guild Hunter, #2) by Nalini Singh Lessons in Love by Kate Davies Anything for You (Harlequin Blaze, #278) by Sarah Mayberry Hot Island Nights (Harlequin Blaze, #566) by Sarah Mayberry Rosemary and Rue (October Daye, #1) by Seanan McGuire Lord of the Fading Lands (Tairen Soul, #1) by C.L. Wilson Hourglass (Hourglass, #1) by Myra McEntire Sweet Surrender (Sweet, #1) by Maya Banks Backstage Pass (Sinners on Tour #1) by Olivia Cunning Smooth Talking Stranger (Travises, #3) by Lisa Kleypas Carnal Innocence by Nora Roberts How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf (Naked Werewolf, #1) by Molly Harper Beast by Judith Ivory My False Heart by Liz Carlyle

message 189: by Debbie (new)

Debbie (db_debber) | 2757 comments Larissa this is what I have come up with for my recommendations to you .....

READ THE (CLASSICAL) PLANETS
1. Sun (star) - The Darkest Night - Looks like you like paranormal (so do I) and this is one of my favorite series starters, it is different than BDB, but I like it as much if not more.

2. Moon (satellite) – Lover Avenged - Of course, you have to continue with Black Dagger Brotherhood.

3. Mars (same symbol as male gender) – American Gods - Strange, unusual, paranormal, supernatural, Neil Gaiman incorporates a lot of mythology twisted with urban fantasy, it's great.

4. Mercury (smallest planet) - Don't know short from long on some of these book in the old tbr, but looking through it, I think Marked is a good mid-length YA.

5. Jupiter (outer planet) – Normally read, well you have quite a variety so not sure what would be out of your norm..... that being said, you don't seem to have much in the way historicals. Try Mine Till Midnight which is the first of the Hathaways series.

6. Venus (hottest planet) – You haven't read The Hunger Games yet? This is an interesting mix of adventures for a YA

7. Saturn (rings) – I have recently found that Sarah Addison Allen is one of my favorites and any of her books would work, but as this is a celestial themed PIFM, I am recommending The Girl Who Chased the Moon

OTHER SOLAR SYSTEM BODIES (BUDDY READS)
8. Asteroid: - My tbr is toppling over, but one of my older ones is Playing with Fire and it seems like it might fit into your reading style as well

9. Comet: - Perfect Chemistry - I just recently (couple days ago) got this one myself, would love to read that one with you. I have seen it recommended so many times the last couple months so if you would like to try to take it on, I will try also.

The Darkest Night (Lords of the Underworld, #1) by Gena Showalter Lover Avenged (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #7) by J.R. Ward American Gods by Neil Gaiman Marked (House of Night, #1) by P.C. Cast Mine Till Midnight (The Hathaways, #1) by Lisa Kleypas The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1) by Suzanne Collins The Girl Who Chased the Moon by Sarah Addison Allen Playing with Fire (Tales of an Extraordinary Girl, #1) by Gena Showalter Perfect Chemistry (Perfect Chemistry, #1) by Simone Elkeles

And of course if you can't find anything that jumps out and says "read me" then let me know, I can easily come up with more.

message 190: by Alexis (new)

Alexis (teacher2013) Okay Miss! Sorry for the small delay. I got home early so I'm actually doing this much sooner than I thought I would.

Sun (Star)
- Remember Me?: I love Sophie Kinsella's books! The characters are hilarious. Great if you need a book that will lift your spirits
- The Host: I actually preferred this one over the Twilight series, much more grown up.

Moon (Satellite)
- Lover Unleashed: You have given most of the other books a really high rating and I loved the series, though I'm way behind you.
- Kitty Takes a Holiday: I don't know anything about these books, but you've liked the first two so hopefully you'll enjoy the thrid as well.

Mars (male symbol)
- Dear John: When I think of male romance authors I think of Nicholas Sparks. He's books are notorious and though I haven't read the book I loved the movie.
- Kindred in Death: I love Roarke and he's the first strong male character I think of when I think of them. I love this series!

Mercury (Smallest Planet)
- Of Mice and Men: This play will make you cry. I had to read this way back in high school and I still remember the emotional pull it created. Plus it's the shortest on your list.

Jupiter (Outer Planet)
- How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf: I think the title of this book is hilarious, and the story follows along giving you one big laugh.
- The Sheriff of Yrnameer: This cover is really strange, enough said.
- The Pregnancy Test: You seem laking in contemporary romance, so here's about as contemporary as contemporary gets. I love her books, but this one was probably one of my favorites.

Venus (Hottest Planet)
- The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo: My boyfriends mom just finished this hugely popular book and she loved it. I haven't read it though, so I'd love to hear what you think.

Saturn (Ring)
- Annie's Song: you want to talk about sweet books, his one delivers! Anderson has a way of writing that leaves you smiling for hours afterwards.

Asteroid
- Black Magic: I just redid my TBR again, but I've had this one for awhile and I just keep noticing, just never picking it up. Let me know if you want to read this!

Comet
- The Book Thief: I always see this book and hear great things about it.

Remember Me? by Sophie Kinsella The Host (The Host, #1) by Stephenie Meyer Lover Unleashed (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #9) by J.R. Ward Kitty Takes a Holiday (Kitty Norville, #3) by Carrie Vaughn Dear John by Nicholas Sparks Kindred in Death (In Death, #29) by J.D. Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments alright Gigi (as Dee wiggles and cracks the fingers)...let's work some magic!!

1. Sun(star)
A Matter of Time - I loved Jory and Sam in this series - but be warning that while there are 4 books, its more like 1 that was split into 4 parts
The Dom's Dungeon - Cherise Sinclair - need I say more ;)
Graceling - a cute YA/Fantasy that was a really good read

2. Moon (satellite)
Dragonfly in Amber - mmm, Jamie...but seriously! I wasn't a fan of this book at first but over re-readings it has become one of my favorites
Savor the Moment - a book with cake on the front is normally going to catch my eye - so why not continue on with the Bride Quartet by Nora

3. Mars
Halfway to the Grave - I can't believe you haven't read Cat/Bones yet - well, actually since I just read the second one - i'll give you some lee-way - it is UF through, and their relationship develops through the series
Some Girls Bite - Chicagoland Vamps is totally my new obsession - unfortunately, i'm waiting for book 5 that is due out in November (and its agony)...maybe you'll join me?

4. Mercury
The One That Got Away - I read this a few months back and really enjoyed it
Come Monday - I debated recommending you the Tuesday one since we were born that day, but you need to read Monday first
The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie - haven't read it - but the title intrigued me

5. Jupiter (outer planet)
The Housekeeper and the Professor - I was recommended this in a PIFM last year and really enjoyed it
Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal - my go to guy for funny
The Sex Lives of Cannibals: Adrift in the Equatorial Pacific - unfortunately not about sex or cannibals, but was an entertaining read/listen about a guy who finds himself moving from Washington DC to an extremely small island in the pacific - culture shock is a good way to describe it - but some of the stuff that he talks about made me laugh
The Virgin Project - haven't read - but the title intrigues me

Venus (hottest planet)
Hot in Here - I will never look at gelato the same way again
Nicholas - I think this book wins hottest cover award!

Saturn (rings)
Flowers from the Storm - there are few books that make me tear up - but I came really close with this one
The Reluctant Dom - make sure you have a box of tissues - not a traditional romance, but sweet/sappy in places just the same

8. Asteroid
Sinful - this has been on the pile for a while and i'm planning on reading it next month - wanna join me?

9. Comet
Ice Queen - ok, so I cheated - this is also on my TBR, but ice and its summer - sounds like a good mix to me...

hopefully, there is something here that works for you, if not let me know

Sarah Dizon (sarahd828) | 236 comments Lisa Here are my picks for you, if you don't find anything to read please let me know and I'll pick again :D

READ THE (CLASSICAL) PLANETS
1. Sun (star): I didn't have one on your list that matched for a 5 star rating so I picked one with a 4 star rating that you have on your TBR:
The Sugar Queen by Sarah Addison Allen - even if this pick didn't fit for this category I would have tried to fit it in another. It is such a good book and I try to recommend it all the time.
The Sugar Queen by Sarah Addison Allen

2. Moon (satellite): Faefever by Karen Marie Moning - You gave Bloodfever a high rating but I didn't see Faefever on your TBR. The Fever series is a great series and I highly recommend picking up the next book.
Faefever (Fever, #3) by Karen Marie Moning Bloodfever (Fever, #2) by Karen Marie Moning

3. Mars (same symbol as male gender):The Book Thief by Markus Zusak - I enjoyed this book immensely! I laughed, smiled, and cried multiple times! If you are a lover or books then this is a must read. I hope you decide to give it a try.
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

4. Mercury (smallest planet):Go Ask Alice by Beatrice Sparks - This is a short book and written in a diary sort of way. I read this many years ago and I read most of her other books as well. It's a quick read and rather good.
Go Ask Alice by Beatrice Sparks

5. Jupiter (outer planet): She Smells the Dead by E.J. Stevens - This is a really weird title for a book. The premise is original as well but it was the title that really made me pick this book for you. It is on your TBR (and mine) so I thought it would be a good pick. I didn't want to pick something too weird.
She Smells the Dead (Spirit Guide, #1) by E.J. Stevens

6. Venus (hottest planet):Pleasure Unbound by Larissa Ione - this has some very steamy scenes and it's not on your TBR. I noticed you read and liked Dark Lover and I don't think the steamy scenes in Pleasure Unbound are too much hotter than those. I read it and enjoyed it - I'm pretty sure I read it because of a Pick It For Me Challenge.
Pleasure Unbound (Demonica, #1) by Larissa Ione Dark Lover (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #1) by J.R. Ward

7. Saturn (rings):Outlander by Diana Gabaldon - I always find a way to recommend this book. It is a very long book but it is a great read. It is more of a historical fiction, and some romance book. I've read it multiple times and I swear after I finish it I sigh. If that option is too long I also suggest The Secret Year by Jennifer R. Hubbard which is a short book (I think 197 pages).
Outlander (Outlander, #1) by Diana Gabaldon The Secret Year by Jennifer R. Hubbard

OTHER SOLAR SYSTEM BODIES (BUDDY READS)
8. Asteroid: Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead - this has been on my TBR for awhile and I own the whole series but I haven't even read the first one. I've heard it's really good and you also have it on your TBR. If you'd like to give it a shot, I'd enjoy reading it with you.
Vampire Academy (Vampire Academy, #1) by Richelle Mead

9. Comet: We have a lot of similar books so I'm picking some I've owned for awhile but haven't read: Angels' Blood by Nalini Singh, Nevermore by Kelly Creagh, and Touch the Dark by Karen Chance.
Angels' Blood (Guild Hunter, #1) by Nalini Singh Nevermore (Nevermore, #1) by Kelly Creagh Touch the Dark (Cassandra Palmer, #1) by Karen Chance

Enjoy!! :D

~KarenH~ | 11419 comments Wow Vi, great picks! The only thing wrong with them is I'm going to have way too much trouble narrowing it down, and they won't all fit into my other challenges. ;)

Right off the top I know I'll be reading How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf this month, and I'd love to read it with you! Beyond that I know I'll read more, there are too many good picks not to - I'm just not sure which ones yet.

Thanks for the great picks!

Sun: Once and Always by Judith McNaught
My fav JM book.

Moon: Lover Unleashed by JR Ward
We both haven't read this one. So, I'm going to give you a little nudge.

Mars: Outlander by Diana Gabaldon
An awesome male character. And without a doubt Jamie is a strong male lead character!

Mercury: The Warlord Wants Forever by Kresley Cole

Jupiter: Tempting the Beast by Lora Leigh
This is little different. I enjoy the series, but it's not for everyone. And hopefully you'll
continue on with it- the books get better as the series continues with (IMO) book 4 -
Elizabeths Wolf- being my favorite. The series doesn't have to be, but should be read in
order.

Venus: The Book Thief By Markus Zusak or The Hunger
Games
by Suzanne Collins (both very popular)

Saturn: A Kingdom of Dreams by Judith McNaught
Such a swoon-worthy love story.

Asteroid: The Duke by Galean Foley

Comet: Stormfire by Christine Monsoon or
Wicked Ties by Shayla Black

* Warning: I suck at buddy reads but I will try and keep up. I've been inducted into the buddy read hall of shame on more than one occasion.

Happy reading!

Sorry for the technical issues. I just figured out how to use the delete and return buttons on my IPhone to delete extra space lol!

I am a dive coach and we had a meet tonight, but I will have your picks done by tomorrow night USA Eastern Standard Time.

I can't wait to look at your book list. You have a bunch which always makes it more exciting to find books you may have never read.

~KarenH~ | 11419 comments Hi Julie!
Here are your picks. Our tastes seem to be quite different, so I’m basing most of this on your TBR and read shelves.

READ THE (CLASSICAL) PLANETS
1. Sun (star)
– Book from their TBR you gave 5 stars or if you haven't read any, one with a high rating: Saving Grace I didn’t actually rate this, read it before I joined GR and started giving ratings, but I absolutely loved it, and since I see you’ve liked some other Julie Garwood books I hope you will too.

2. Moon (satellite) – Book from their TBR that’s the next in a series they already started or from an author they already liked and enjoyed: I’m giving you a couple here – two authors that you’ve seemed to really enjoy are Linda Howard and Lisa Kleypas, and since you have books by both of them on your TBR shelf that I liked a lot, I decided to recommend both: After the Night and Mine Till Midnight

3. Mars (same symbol as male gender) – Book written by a male author or with a strong male character: I’m not a fan of Nicholas Sparks, but you’ve rated him highly before, so since you have The Guardian on your TBR shelf, why not read it?

4. Mercury (smallest planet) - Short book from their TBR: You don’t seem to have a lot of short books on your TBR, so I just picked the shortest one I could find – Of Mice and Men

5. Jupiter (outer planet) – Book that’s a bit ‘out there’ either because it has an original premise, a funky title or because it’s something they wouldn’t normally read: One of the best books I’ve read in a long time has kind of a strange title and has a rather unusual style – Water for Elephants. If you listen to audiobooks at all I can’t recommend the audio version strongly enough, it was absolutely wonderful! Another option, it doesn’t look like you read much paranormal, so why not try How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf? I haven’t read it yet (it’s one of my challenge books for July), but I’ve heard great things about it.

6. Venus (hottest planet) – Popular book they haven’t read yet or a steamy book: A book that have been very popular that you have on your TBR shelf is Eat, Pray, Love, and one that I loved that you don’t have on your shelves is The Help.

7. Saturn (rings) – Romantic book that made you sigh (and hopefully included a ring.): It looks like you’ve read and liked a couple of books in Catherine Anderson’s Kendrick/Coulter series, but I don’t see the first book anywhere – why not go back and see what started it all with Baby Love? Or a book that is the beginning of another series I love is Virgin River.

OTHER SOLAR SYSTEM BODIES (BUDDY READS)
8. Asteroid:
Book that has been around your TBR for a while that you think you would both enjoy: Another Catherine Anderson choice here, I’ve been looking for an excuse to read Cherish for a while now, why don’t we read it together?

9. Comet: Book from their TBR that caught your eye: Something completely different that we both have on our TBR shelves (but that I’d forgotten that I even have) is The Innocent Man: Murder and Injustice in a Small Town.

I hope you find something you like, if not let me know and I’ll pick again. :)

TinaNoir Hi Cynthia-
I have been "off the grid" today so to speak, so this is my first look at the list, but I will definitely have your picks ready first thing tomorrow. I'm excited this is my first PIFM!

[2] Moon (satelli..."

Thank You so much Ashley Alexis! These are such good picks. I am having some trouble deciding but I think I will go with Shadowfever since I already have it. I just haven't gotten around to reading it yet.
