Vi | 2819 comments I'm glad you liked the picks Brenda :). I love Sugar Daddy and the subsequent books. Do let me know how you found it.

The link for the buddy read is up at the front page. I think post #4. The starting date is tentatively July 15th, Friday. Just hop over to the thread and join us :)

VI!! Thank you for the amazing recommendations!
I've just downloaded Sugar Daddy by Lisa Kleypas so I'm going to read that one. First but I've saved all of your recommendations and hopefully I will get around to reading all of them sooner than later.

I really would love to Buddy Read How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf with you and the other ladies as well. Keep me posted!

Just realized, I packed up books to bring with me this weekend and didn't bring Ghost Shadow. I'll be getting home sometime later today and if I've finished the one I'm having trouble getting into (I'll have to force myself to pick it up), then I'll start GS. I'll check back in later.

@Buffy. I've wanted to read the comics, especially the ones billed as Season 8, but I've not gotten around to it yet. Season 7, hmmm. I think it was "Conversations with Dead People". If I'm thinking right, that was a creepy episode.

Diane ~Firefly~ | 1513 comments Stats Time!

We saw the return of a bunch of authors to the top of the list who had been displaced last month. So this will mostly be very familiar names, however Stieg Larsson managed to squeak in this time, while Ward regained her crown.

1. J.R. Ward - 27
2. Suzanne Collins - 26
3. Nalini Singh - 24
4. Karen Marie Moning - 22
4. Kresley Cole - 22
6. Lisa Kleypas - 21
7. Nora Roberts - 17
7. Diana Gabaldon - 17
9. Larissa Ione - 14
9. Cassandra Clare - 14
9. Ilona Andrews - 14
9. Molly Harper - 14
13. Sarah Addison Allen - 13
14. Jeaniene Frost - 12
14. Gena Showalter - 12
16. Jennifer Crusie - 11
16. J.D. Robb - 11
16. Stephanie Meyers - 11
16. Stieg Larsson - 11

Thanks for the picks, Charisse.

I`m reading Aftershock by Jill Shalvis - never read anything from her, so it´s a start.

message 508: by Diane ~Firefly~ (new)

Diane ~Firefly~ | 1513 comments The Hunger Games didn't like not making the list last month and killed the competition with number 1 and 11 spots this time. The short book category really helped The Warlord Wants Forever come in at number 2, while a TV series helped A Game of Thrones make the list.

1. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins - 18
2. The Warlord Wants Forever - 11
3. How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf by Molly Harper - 10
3. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak - 10
4. Outlander by Diana Gabaldon - 9
4. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - by Stieg Larsson - 9
7. Angels' Blood by Nalini Singh - 8
7. City of Bones by Cassandra Clare - 8
9. Magic Bites by Ilona Andrews - 7
9. A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin - 7
11. Slave to Sensation by Nalini Singh - 6
11. Halfway to the Grave by Jeaniene Frost - 6
11. A Hunger Like No Other by Kresley Cole - 6
11. The Darkest Night by Gena Showalter - 6
11. The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie by Jennifer Ashley - 6
11. The Host by Stephanie Meyer - 6
11. Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins - 6
11. Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen - 6
11. Vision in White by Nora Roberts - 6
11. The Princess Bride by William Goldman - 6
11. Hounded by Kevin Hearne - 6

MountainKat | 32166 comments Hmmm, I didn't recommend a single book on that list.... 8/

But I did manage to hit three of the authors!

message 510: by D.G. (new)

D.G. | 4477 comments Very interesting as usual, Diane!

I guess 'Naked Werewolf' made it so high because of the 'out there' category, while 'Thrones' and 'Hounded' because of the 'male' category.

Of the list of books, I recommended two of the books. :)

message 511: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments I didn't recommend any of the books - but I did hit a few of the authors - including Larsson

There was actually a decent amount of Thrones in the out there category and Naked Werewolf in buddy reads. Naked Werewolf/Molly Harper hit the lists last month, so we're going to see how much staying power it/she has.

Jane (PS) | 24508 comments Great stats Diane. I had a couple of recs in both authors and books. I was a culprit recommending Naked Werewolf - but it wasn't in the 'out there' category - it was the buddy read... I think there are about 10 of us reading it from 15 July... I agree - it will be interesting to see if any of us rec it next month!

message 516: by Alexis (new)

Alexis (teacher2013) Hey Alisha! I finished Four to Score today and I agree it is much better than the first three. I always enjoy these books when I read them and this one did not fail to make me laugh. Thank you so much for pushing me to finally continue this series!

True! I'm not *too* crazy about funny paranormals but I'm giving it a shot because so many of us are reading it. Let's hope I get it by the 15th!

I own several of these books so hopefully I'll be able to get a few out of my TBR! I picked up [book:Flat-Out Sexy
