July - Pick It For Me Challenge
JoyceJust realized, I packed up books to bring with me this weekend and didn't bring Ghost Shadow. I'll be getting home sometime later today and if I've finished the one I'm having trouble getting into (I'll have to force myself to pick it up), then I'll start GS. I'll check back in later.
@Buffy. I've wanted to read the comics, especially the ones billed as Season 8, but I've not gotten around to it yet. Season 7, hmmm. I think it was "Conversations with Dead People". If I'm thinking right, that was a creepy episode.
D.G. ~Vile Temptress~ wrote: "You mean how do you post a link here? Just follow the instructions for 'link' by clicking 'some html is OK'.I'll post the links to the threads in the front right now. :)"
Thank you:-) x x
P.S I'm not having much luck with my link so if you don't mind will use yours on page 1?!! Never done this before!! x x
Sue and I will be reading Hilda the wicked witch later this week, if anyone would like to join us please feel free, D.G has kindly put a link on page one of this challenge:-) Thank you D.G. Or there is one under the Dare to Read Challenge X X

Just to let you know that I have set up our buddy read link in the Dare to Read Challenge, on the Romantic Readers homepage, otherwise D.G has set a link up on page 1 of this challenge! Looking forward to reading with you and will be in touch soon x x

Thanks for the picks, Charisse.
I`m reading Aftershock by Jill Shalvis - never read anything from her, so it´s a start.
The Hunger Games didn't like not making the list last month and killed the competition with number 1 and 11 spots this time. The short book category really helped The Warlord Wants Forever come in at number 2, while a TV series helped A Game of Thrones make the list. 1. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins - 18
2. The Warlord Wants Forever - 11
3. How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf by Molly Harper - 10
3. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak - 10
4. Outlander by Diana Gabaldon - 9
4. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - by Stieg Larsson - 9

11. Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen - 6
11. Vision in White by Nora Roberts - 6
11. The Princess Bride by William Goldman - 6
11. Hounded by Kevin Hearne - 6
Hmmm, I didn't recommend a single book on that list.... 8/ But I did manage to hit three of the authors!
Very interesting as usual, Diane!I guess 'Naked Werewolf' made it so high because of the 'out there' category, while 'Thrones' and 'Hounded' because of the 'male' category.
Of the list of books, I recommended two of the books. :)

There was actually a decent amount of Thrones in the out there category and Naked Werewolf in buddy reads. Naked Werewolf/Molly Harper hit the lists last month, so we're going to see how much staying power it/she has.
Hi Regina!I just wanted you o know that I finished Exclusively Yours today. What a sweet story, and funny too. I gave it 4 stars :)

Glad you liked it! The Kowalski are very funny - I already read the 03 books in the serie...
Great stats Diane. I had a couple of recs in both authors and books. I was a culprit recommending Naked Werewolf - but it wasn't in the 'out there' category - it was the buddy read... I think there are about 10 of us reading it from 15 July... I agree - it will be interesting to see if any of us rec it next month!
Hey Alisha! I finished Four to Score today and I agree it is much better than the first three. I always enjoy these books when I read them and this one did not fail to make me laugh. Thank you so much for pushing me to finally continue this series!
Jane (PS) wrote: "it will be interesting to see if any of us rec it next month! "True! I'm not *too* crazy about funny paranormals but I'm giving it a shot because so many of us are reading it. Let's hope I get it by the 15th!
I've been putting off reading a Molly Harper book for ages but I finally took the plunge and ordered the book - I hope it turns up before 15 July too! (It should have already arrived... Will be checking the mail closely for the next couple of days!)*******edit*******
Ha! It just turned up :)
Larissa,Just had to update you! I'm reading At Grave's End by Jeaniene Frost and I am about 60% done. I have to say that so far this is my favorite one!
Kerste wrote: "~Sara~1. Sun (star) – Flat-Out Sexy - if I had to pick one book out of all these here for you to read this month, it would be this one.

Fantastic choices Kerste - Thank you!!!
I own several of these books so hopefully I'll be able to get a few out of my TBR! I picked up [book:Flat-Out Sexy to see what it was about and before I knew it a few hours had passed and I was halfway through so it's safe to say I'll read that one this month at least but we'll see what else I can get to after that. I'll let you know!
Finished Lover Unbound!! For my choice and a buddy read with Vi! I am going to read Just the Sexiest Man Alive also this month!
Thanks again Melissa for the great picks!
Caroline,I finished Soulless last night and I really enjoyed it! My older daughter is now going to read it as well.
I look forward to the buddy read when I hear from you later this week.
JoyceI set up a thread for the Ghost Moon Buddy Read
ETA: Sorry! Listed the wrong book. Actually Ghost Shadow not Ghost Moon. My only excuse is my brain was still on vacation following a 3 day weekend from work. LOL. I've fixed the buddy read thread.

Amy, I recieved Pleasure Unbound and Dogs and Godesses from the library. I started The Darkest Night yesterday and should be finished by Thursday. Would you like to start one of the buddy reads then?
I don't know if someone already posted this however, Lauren Dane's first books in the Chase Brothers Series, Giving Chase is FREE on amazon right now.

Amy - Everybody should set up their own thread. I'll just add it to the front here in case somebody else wants to join you.
OK...I finished Lord of the Flies....now to find that post again from Pollyanna and see what else I said I was going to read.
Finished up Once and Always while at the beach this weekend. This is actually my first time reading Judith McNaught and I really love her writing! Thanks for getting me to read it, Gigi. I guess my only complaint about the book was (view spoiler)Are there any other books by Judith McNaught that are worth the read? I think I picked up A Kingdom of Dreams at a used book sale & it's hidden away somewhere.
Amanda wrote: "Finished up Once and Always while at the beach this weekend. This is actually my first time reading Judith McNaught and I really love her writing! Thanks for getting me to read it, Gi..."Whitney, My Love is fabulous!
All her books are great, especially the historicals, does anyone know why she doesn't write them anymore?
Amanda wrote: "Finished up Once and Always while at the beach this weekend. This is actually my first time reading Judith McNaught and I really love her writing! Thanks for getting me to read it, Gi..."You should try Something Wonderful and Almost Heaven. These are very good :)
I think her latest book was supposed to be out a year or two earlier (I think) but it was postponed due to some personal emergency or something.. I don't know when/if it's going to be out..
Caroline~ I read No Rest for the Wicked. It was good, I hoped you enjoyed it. If I find the time I am also going The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Thanks again for the great choices.

Yikes, I listed the wrong book for the buddy thread. My only excuse is my brain was still on vacation yesterday, following a 3 day weekend from work. LOL. We're actually reading Ghost Shadow not Ghost Moon. I've fixed the buddy read thread itself.

Rena wrote: "Hello Debbie, pretty much all the books we have in common you have already read. Hope you like my recs for you! ..."Oh Rena, what a great recommendation.
I read Perfect Chemistry and really enjoyed the way it changed point of view. Although I was a little disappointed with some of the character decisions and how naive Brittany could be at times.
Diane ~Firefly~ wrote: "The Hunger Games didn't like not making the list last month and killed the competition with number 1 and 11 spots this time. The short book category really helped The Warlord Wants Forever come in..."Love your stats as usual, Diane! Thank you so much for them!

VI!! Thank you for the amazing recommendations!
I've just downloaded Sugar Daddy by Lisa Kleypas so I'm going to read that one. First but I've saved all of your recommendations and hopefully I will get around to reading all of them sooner than later.
I really would love to Buddy Read How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf with you and the other ladies as well. Keep me posted!
