He's okay but definetly not what I think Jace looks like. In my head he was a gorgeous, hot tall guy with dirty blond messy hair. He'd be tan, always have a superior smirk on his face and just not be Jamie Campbell.

The picture is absolutely HORRIBLE of him, hopefully they'll have better make-up artists for Jaime.I agree, Alex Pettyfer cannot act for his life!!
But I always imagine him as Jace...so......if only Jaime had Alex Pettyfer's face, combined with his way better acting skills than Alex, he'd make a kick-ass Jace.
But Im definetly watching the movie though even I know that wont happen.

Well,surely this photo doesn't say much...i think he is much better....but i am not quite sure that he is the Jace that i had pictured in my mind.
I doubt any actor is the character that you imagined. That's one of the best parts about books. You get to imagine what the characters look like and therefore it is impossible for everyone's imagination to be satisfied because everybody thinks in different ways. It says in the book that Jace is strong, but lean, blonde hair, golden eyes, and with confidence. That's what they'll make him.

NO. He doesn't look anything like what I thought Jace would look like. Plus that photo kinda creeped me out.

Yeah I thought Ben was ok but i thought Alex would've been Great for the part, but he turned it down:( And they can't decide between Him and Max for Daniel so I hope Alex gets the part!!!!! I think Max is UGLY!!!!! This Is just my opinion! Jamie Will do a get a great with Jace!!!!

Cassie Clare wants JC Bower, and I trust her judgment. Anyway, the movie's all about acting and not appearance, right? I bet he'll do great.
I agree; Jaime is not a good Jace; he's supposed to be more bulky not to mention beautiful; I think Jaime might have the acting chops, but he's no Edward Cullen as the character has been compared to in book reviews. Unless Jaime beefs up those abs like Taylor Lautner did to play Jacob, the film will be disappointing for me anyway. I think they should use the guy who is playing Cato in the Hunger Games to play Jace. I read on the author's site that she doesn't have anything to do with the casting and doesn't want to hear from us fans about why we don't want Jaime. Who is playing Simon?

When i first knew that jamie was going to be jace wayland instead of alex i almost cried ..but now thant i think of it, he might pull it off.Anyways cassandra clare said that they are transforming him into jace in this couple of moths until they start to fill. They said that hes going to the gym to get that SEXY body that jace has and they going to cut his hair so that it looks like jace's hair (because right now he has messed up hair!!!). I was really glad there doing that because like he is right now i dont like him :/

Are your only candidates for this character Jamie Campbell-Bower and Alex Pettyfer? So, so sick of seeing Pettyfer in every damn young adult screen adaptation discussion thread.
People, did you see Camelot yet? OMG, I just saw it last night and hopefully, Jamie is hitting the gym hard, but nonetheless, I tell you this, Jamie was SMOKIN' HOT and intriguing in Camelot. If you haven't seen it, just watch the opening scene of the first episode. My eyes almost popped outta my head!!! I was like OMG, he's sizzling!!! I wanted to hate Jamie at first, and I was hoping we could still petition Alex to join the cast, but after seeing Camelot, I'm telling you, this kid can pull it off. I was really impressed with Jamie! Granted, he is not your classic good looking, but I think some of his awkward facial features will make good contrast to portray the ever changing moods of Jace. Can't wait!!!! When is this movie coming out again?

You should definitely finish the series :) Although, I wasn't crushing on Jamie (Arthur) the whole time because, like you said, he is not that "fit", haha. I think peoplee should really stop hating on him. I mean come on hes not that bad. He's got the look. Hating on him because what??? Alex didn't get the role ? He's not that HOT? He has a mustache??? all that crapp and or whatever reason why people are hating him . Alex was the one who rejected the role for Jace in the first place and besides he has way too many projects right now.
I thinkkk Jamie's definitely got the Jace look but to make me feel even better I need to see him act on this and see if i'll be impressed or not.
I reallly think people should just give him a chance.
