You know, reading all these recent comments make me wonder if people bother to read at all before they comment or google things and look past 1 picture of an actor before passing their biased judgement. Or if they bother to know that Alex whatshisface turned down the role.
You all are ruining it for me, already giving the movie a bad name because a random pretty boy didn't get the role because that's how YOU imagined it. Well people, this isn't your book or your movie. You're in for the ride. Cassandra herself thinks Jamie is wonderful, and honestly, I can easily imagine Jamie as Jace. >.>

Like seriously people, grow up and research the books you 'love' so much and get over yourselves. I'm very happy they went with someone who can apparently act compared to someone who ONLY has the 'perfect' look. Take a step out of your fantasy and come to reality a bit please, there is no 'perfect' Jace. He is an imaginary character. If you wanted a Jace who only looked like Jace, you're better off just staring at pictures of whathisface all day.

Yeah, I'm not sure why they did all that. But all in all, it fits perfectly fine to me. It's so frustrating when people don't look up more information about people before spewing, "NOO!! EWW!!! Not what I imagined! He's not hot enough!!!" Is that all you're worried about? The hotness factor? Please. -_-
Kirabook, I am definitely all for Jamie as long as he buffs up! :) If you watched Camelot you'll have seen that he needs some muscle, haha.
Glad you agree. That's another thing I didn't like, the excuse that he's too "scrawny". Well people, I'm sure ALL of you know a certain someone who buffed it up for his movie part. It's really not all that uncommon to buff up for specific movie roles.

I really hope they don't OVER DO her hair color. I hate when hair is too red or orange...This color looks good to me. Maybe a little more orange would work, too.
I'm not sure this is the look she will have for the movie, but I think this color is probably best. A tad more orange would work, but I think as it is in this picture looks natural enough.

I know A LOT of people wanted Alex Pettyfer as Jace, but I think he would make a much better Sebastian! He has a darker edgier feel about him!
Alex is just too old for it, teenage boys look a certain way and you cant get around that, I think Jamie is going to nail "snarky jace"

I won't judge but I'm certainly crossing my fingers that the picture is just a really bad one...because Jace is much hotter than that in my dreams/head/imagination.

Well, Jamie Campbell-Bower is a far cry from the Jace that exists in my imagination. I just hope that he'll have a grand transformation when the City of Bones movie is out, just like how Robert Pattinson seems to be a wholly different person when he plays the role of Edward Cullen. :)

I would like to request that the creater of this thread please switch the picture. Obviously that picture was for something else and he was intended to look that way. Acting is all about becoming your role, of course he isn't going to look like that.And you know, I've been putting him and Lily together and imagining them as Clary and Jace... they both feel like Clary and Jace to me. I was never all that fond of whathisface. He just didn't fit to me... and he doesn't seem right with Lily. Imagining Jamie and Lily together feels right to me... 8P

You really don't have to have a big imagination to see how well he'll fit in my opinion. I'm still excited, even more so now on how the movie will turn out with the cast so far.
