If you could meet any character in the Cassie Palmer series who would it be??
Seriously?! All of you think she'd stick with Mircea?! I can't believe that! Cassie and Pritkin have such a connection...I just don't see that with Mircea...with him it feels like babysitting. :/I could totally imagine Mircea with leaves sticking out of his hair. :D
lol im hoping cassie wont stick with mircea but you never know with karen - thats what makes her books so good.but cassie could have one of her bold moments and kiss pritkin - now that would be interesting.
i loved her bold moment with mircea when she ran out of the bathroom naked and into a bunch of vamps - classic!

To me Cassie craves adrenaline and Mircea prefer to keep her safe behind the castle wall...which she will do anything but that.
I was totally embrassed for her!!! I couldn't believe that she actually did it!!! But after that you can't help but love her even more.That's true Valerie! :) Cassie can't stand that kind of living...but Ashleigh is right to. Karen does make her books totally unpredictable.
Now I'm worried...
Mircea and Pritkin are like siamese twin. If all their qualities and defaults (physical and emotional) were rolled into one dandy, handy body...it would be the perfect male specimen. Sadly, nature harbor perfection and such a creature will never exist.
I was thinking this morning, while doing the dishes... I just finish reading book 3. And in book 3 Mircea basically called Cassie a child, and told her she would not be pythia if "they" had not maneuvered her to the position. Let's fast forward to book 5, where she and Mircea find out that the origin of the power was her mother...so more than likely she would not have needed him or the council to obtain the position. I wish Karen would have went into it a little bit more, just to make Mircea eat his own cockiness. Maybe Cassie should've had some smart comment. Or at least Mircea apologize or something. Arrogant vampire!!! Now, I was on Mircea side until I read that book, now I am on team Pritkin.
Well, just look at the end of book 5, the big fight with fireworks....did not an uppity person say 'that's a Pythia'? I was giggling so hard when I read this.To be fair Pritkin did almost call her a child in book 2...but Mircea is too old to not consider someone a child if they are under 200 years old.
Rosezetta's comment makes me supremely happy. I <3 when Mircea shippers convert to the green-eyed demon's side :D
hmm after reading Rosezetta last comment i have to say i highly doubt karen will keep cassie with mircea when he thinks so little of her.but you never know mircea could all of a sudden change - but i also doubt that.

And to be fair he is way older than Mircea is, so I don't its that bad, and he probably didn't mean it in arrorance like Mircea did.

I cant help but be on team Mircea after all he truely does love Cassie and he did take care of her since she was a child. I remember how bad thing were before Mircea visited and how he had Rafi paint her ceiling(it was rafi rght? i read this a long time ago). And its not like Pritkin was a perfect sweetheart he was really uppity and got on my nerves in the first 3 books especially when he was training her. Sadly they are both underhanded in their ways i guess it comes with power and old age :P I still shiver with satisfaction at the thought of Cassie shaving his legs.

He only took care of her because he had a feeling that Cassie could be the next Pythia!!! Rafe really did love her,so I can't say anything about him, but Mircea is a power hungry vampire.And I did love when Cassie shaved Pritkin legs. :D But with Pritkin he's never pretended to be anything else! Unlike Mircea...

That in itself makes me believe Mircea does not love her and is only using her.

i dont think they had "feelings" for each other at that point because the gesis thing was still working ok
wasnt it until mircea tried to feed on cassie that he realized the possibilities?? and they started "liking" each other more after that.

Well actually Pritkin did. He pretended to be an ordinary mage, until daddy dearest tried to kill Cassie. The truth can't come out much bolder than that.
Are we all forgetting that Mircea is a vampire??? What is there biggest thing...self preservation, and power. It may have started out as an opportunity, but that doesn't mean he didn't fall in love with her. Remember, in order for the spell to work, it had to build onto something that was already there. Not to make Mircea sound pervertish, but he did care for Cassie all along. (easing out of team Pritkins door, tip toeing over to camp Mircea) Please wait 'til I get there for any throwing of tomatoes, lol. :)

mircea must at least find cassie very attractive seeming how he stuck her foot in his mouth (Ewwwww) and he might have even fallen in love with her i just dont think he has.. a while back someone said they thought he'd never gotten over his wife enough to have that kind of feelings/relationship with someone else and it prob doesnt help he is a vamp
i also agree about pritkin keeping his true identity a secret but you cant really blame him for that, at the time he didnt know if he could trust cassie or not and seeming how no else knew until caleb found out later on.

lol...well you are right he didn't know if he could trust Cassie...he unequivocally, determinately did not trust her. he didn't believe her when she told him she was not those things he accused her of, or that she didn't want the power. he only beginned to believe her when he realized what the circle was up to. even then cassie was the lesser of 2 evils. but now, he done went and fell in love with ole cassie (even tho' he hasn't admitted it out loud...but we already know that he loves her) Poor poor john.
I didn't mean the fact that he wasn't human, I meant his personality. Pritkin has always been a hot-headed, uptight kinda of guy who never consider he allies, friends until months later.And THANK YOU for all of you who stood up Pritkin. We all know that he is the right choice for Cassie!!!! And I agree he is kinda creepy. And yes it Cassanova did say that the gesis only inhance feelings that are already,but I don't think it was feeling feelings on Mircea's part. I think it was love for power, and the prospect of Cassie, someone he could control, having it.
And the foot thing is really gross, but in HtM of CtD didn't Cassie say that he had a foot fetish? So he probably put plently of feet in his mouth. (Super EWWWWWW)

i believe mircea thought at the start he would be able to control cassie but now i believe he has major doubts - didnt he say something to kit in one of dorys books about not being able to control her??
plus half the time they cant even keep her locked up if she doesnt want to be there...lol.
Haha true, but that was when he was under the gesis...right? And I don't think that his doubts are that great, he know how much Cassie cares for him, and he's probably going to use that.And that's what makes Cassie so great!!! Nobody seems to be able to control her. :) I love how she manages to do the exact opposite of what everybody tells her! I just hope that she stay's that way.
me too :Di love how she can wiggle around everyone - likes she's not smarter than some and she's deff not stronger but she always finds a way to get what she wants which is awesome.
i kind of hope mircea isnt just using cassie - im sure he has some kind of caring feelings towards her, but i think it would be really bad for her confidence if he was more interested in her position then her herself. also you gotta think this is her first proper relationship.. everyone always thinks it is love there first time.

Lol that's true.I kinda hope for that too, I woundn't want Cassie to find out that's all Mircea wants. Maybe we're just being to hard on him... ;)
haha - i think i have been listening to the mircea lovers to much, im still all for pritkin but i like mircea more now then when i finished HtM and its their fault :P haha
aww, i still love them both, and i like it that way. and as mentioned previously, i love the drama and tension the relationships currently have going on. i really hope it stays this way until a much later book - preferably the last one, which preferably shall never come and the series shall be endless and immortal ;)
haha - yea im hoping it last a while longer as well, but we dont want it to drag out. also cassie could brake up with mircea and not date pritkin but still have the sexual tension... i could see them being nervous about furthering there relationship.
No way!!! Pritkin would handle a relationship the way he does everything else!!!! Straight foward with as much of a punch he could put in!!!!!I like Mircea but i can never love him as much as i love Pritkin!!! And i wouln't want Cassie to end up with Pritkin at the end end. I would want to see how they work out. But heres to hoping the series never ends!!!! :)

I reckon that this is one of those things where if you wish for something to be true strongly enough, it will be. The Karen Chance series shall live forever, and I refuse to listen to logic on this matter!

Ummm about which book? Cassies upcoming one or dorys?I just read kit's short stories and i was noticing that even then he got hit in the head alot. :) He's a pretty funny guy and i wish Gillian was kinda in this century. I would have loved to read more about them.
Do you know when Mircea's short is cominng out? Im really wanna know whos going to feature in it....other than Mircea of course.
im pretty positive that we have talk about all we could with cassie's books. loli wouldnt mind talking about mircea's short or the dory books, but im out of awesome idea's at the moment... hmm....

hmmmm... i think he tried to kill dory when she was at that gypsy camp place but the people he sent were paranoid so they killed everyone else but her.Im not sure about the mum - but i think your right.

Maybe another gentleman would will be introduced, that puts both Mircea and Pritkin to shame...and that is who she will ride off into the sunset with. Could you imagine someone out there who could actually do that????
