I want to paint with Raphael. I just can't get the hang of those lovely, fluffy clouds.
Oh, Christ, I'm terrible at art. My skills are limited to stick men. Whenever I draw anything, I usually have to label it so people can tell what the hell it is.
Haha, Somnium, I'll join you in the 'Crap at Art' classes! Did you ever draw a picture of a house when you were like five years old, you know, with the door, four windows and curly smoke coming out a chimney? That is the limit of my artistic skills. I never got beyond that level. I think if someone asked me to draw them a picture today, I'd still draw that house cos it's the only think I can do LMAO!

Using someone like Raphael to paint a kid's bedroom is almost a travesty, but at least he was happy to do it for Cassie. I hope Rafe has a hand in finally offing Tony at the end of the book.
Agreed. And I hope Cassie does too, so that she can get a little vengeance for everything he did, including murdering her parents. Now that's a travesty, that some loser like Tony was the one who finally managed to kill Artemis. I do so want him to die.
LOL, there's a huge queue of people wanting to off Tony. Mircea will want to be in there too, and he'll claim it's his right as Tony's original master. Actually, that'll probably be another thing he'll want to 'protect' Cassie from!
Yeah, I don't image Mircea will want Cassie going anywhere near Tony, considering what Tony wants to do with her if he ever gets his hands on her. Plus, he's an enemy Cassie has that Mircea can actually get to and beat up, unlike those pesky gods, ghosts and demons, so he'll probably want to do it himself for a little stress relief.

Mello, that's cool! I can't wait to hear what you think of the Dory books. They've got a slightly different feel to the Cassie books, but they're really, really good!

I figured it was high time that I read them. Plus, I saw you mentioned Marlowe making an appearance and it motivated me even more.

I think as Senate leaders go, Anthony from the European Senate would be a lot more fun to hang out with. He at least seemed like he had a sense of humour.

*Gasp* I really want to see Marco go back in time with Cassie now! Whatever time they go to, he'll probably have lived though it so be pretty useful, but I doubt he'll be to happy with it. What do you reckon would happen if she brought him back to Rome? I'm really curious about Marco's daughter now, since he mentioned her.
@ Somnium,i think its so sweet he see's cassie as a daughter. i love to see/meet his daughter too! and see/read about marco dressed up as a gladiator or in his army garb! and his wife.... did he have a wife??
Ashleigh, I don't remember Marco mentioning a wife, but I'm presuming he had one at some point if he had a daughter. Maybe she died before he became vampire, but the daughter was still living?I kinda wonder if it might be quite sad for Marco to go back in time and see his daughter. Though I suppose enough time has passed that he's long come to terms with it, but it must be quite poignant to see someone again who's been dead for centuries.

Ashleigh, I think you might be right that the gladiators didn't have wives. I'm not certain though. I'd bet that if Marco was given a slave (maybe as a reward for winning a fight or something), he'd treat her OK. Doesn't make it all right of course, but I don't think he'd beat her or anything like that. (Or maybe I'm just romanticizing history cos I don't want to think about how people were treated worse than animals in that past.)Zeenat, I bet with The Consul's freaky powers, she'd know you were there. Too true. I think Marlowe would be quite... determined, to persuade you to tell him. And it would definitely get his attention, as it's so rare that people know a secret that he doesn't. I think he'd be prepared to do quite a lot to get it out of you ;D
