im just about to Re-Read Curse the Dawn... trying to re-jog my memory of the whole series.

@ ♥ Ashleigh ♥: Nah, I'm not even sure that was in the book - it's just that after reading this series I decided to read up a bit on Greek mythology (not anything complex, I just looked up the Greek and Norse gods on Wikipedia ;D). I was kinda hoping I could find some spoilers or stuff to fuel my latest improbable theories :P

and yes, I really hope Cassie and Dory meet in the next book too. I'm SO looking forward to it!!! I'm planning on bringing a camera so I can capture Mircea's expression forever ^_^

although, i'm a bit confused as to why everyone is so convinced Cassie is going into Faerie to talk to Hel in the next book. Maybe I missed or misinterpreted something when I read HtM. I get that she says she was going to 'raise some Hel', thus probably going to talk to her mother and try to free Pritkin, but surely she wouldn't have to go all the way to Faerie to do that? I know she split part of her soul with Cassie's dad or something along those lines, but couldn't Cassie just go into the past again to see her mother and ask her about it?

@ Somnium, im pretty sure i read somewhere that hel was trapped in faerie and cassie needed to speak with her to get into actual hell. but im not sure im pretty sure someone explained a pretty sound theory a while back but everything gets a bit confusing when it comes to the next books, lol.

who do you prefer cassie to be with? Mircea or Pritkin?
im a Pritkin fan all the way :P

i really wonder how mircea will come out if cassie finds out about dory, he's made some pretty big mistakes in the past with cassie and she has forgiven him, but having a daughter is pretty huge. maybe because they barely talk he'll get away with it... but i doubt it, cassie is going to chew his ass out on this for sure!! lol.

what kind of reaction do you think mircea will have about cassie making out with pritkin on his front lawn but naked in front of everyone, then skipping the "introduction" to rescue pritkin??

YES i just read it! i was so annoyed at the end when Mercia (view spoiler)[ stuck up for Mind-de (or whatever her name is) and not Cassie (hide spoiler)]

Pritkin makes Cassie believe in herself he gives her confidence and she makes him feel better thats what relationships are suppose to be like. they get stronger from each other. Mercia makes Cassie feel like a useless child and hides her away, he doesnt believe in her. thats why i want Pritkin to win in the end. i really want Cassie to show Mercia whats she's made of :D

I thought the end was funny. Cassie got Ming-De back, and Mercia in a way. Because although Karen clarified that they were never a couple, I still suspect they had something going on. So Cassie kinda said that she won't tolerate Ming-De.

And I never really thought about the way Mercia views Cassie as a child. I totally agree with you. Pritkin does work with her as a person and they do get stronger from each other.

However I don't think that Mercia will ever see Cassie as something other than a child...vampires they never change as much as they should.

I loved how they put Rosier in there, and they made him act younger than Pritkin. I also thought Pritkin's name was kinda cool. But Cassanova was hilarious in there.

im hoping mircea will finally see cassie as an adult in the future books then loose her to pritkin - i know its not very nice of me but what can i say i think it would be hilarious for cassie to up one on mircea :D

Radu is awesome, and I love when Dory get's with him. He does tend to insult people alot huh? They had to make Drac a bit dull because they couldn't have two aewsome evil characters. Olga rocks it. I love when Karen described Olga with her new looks. Jack is just creepy. I mean he was licking the intestines!
But Dory is the best character in that series. I would love to be friends with her!

aaah i'm confused. i could easily be wrong about the Cassie saying she's never been to hell bit (i haven't read HtM that recently), but i was always confused about why everyone is so convinced Cassie needs to go into faerie. i get that she has to talk to her mother to get pritkin out of hell, but why faerie? first, i got the impression that when Hel merged her soul with Cassie's father's, it didn't leave a sentient part as a ghost - but i again, could easily be wrong there. my main reason for being confused is, why does she have to go talk to said ghost? wouldn't it be one hell of a lot easier to go talk to her mother in the past, as she did throughout HtM, instead of going into faerie again, where there are currently a tonne of people trying to kill her, and where the fey are pretty damn hostile to intruders anyways? it just seems like taking the very long and hard way round to get pritkin back to me O_o

i thought cassie mum controlled the "roads/paths" between the "hells" and that was how cassie was going to get acess to pritkin and i assumed she would bargain rosier for him.

aww, i want Pritkin back NOW damn it! why can't it be 2012 already?
but i'm kinda hoping Cassie doesn't go to faerie in the next book, and that that'll be the one after. Because i get the impression when she does go to faerie, it'll be a long trip - possibly a whole book, because it's been so built up to and we all need to see Tony die slowly ^_^ - and then she'd have to go bust Pritkin out of hell. and i just don't think i can survive that long without a Pritkin fix :'(

Don't forget that Cassie needs to get her dads soul too. And not to mention that going into the past changes things. What if Cassie told her parents something that she shouldn't have and that changes things. I mean I know that I could be wrong too because so far things haven't changed but it could happen. And what's a fictional life without taking the road less traveled by?

I want Cassie to go into Faerie too. They really have been buliding up to it. But I'd perfer if Cassie saved Pritkin first. I know that Rian can take Cassie to hell, but does Cassie know about Rian in the series? I mean Rian only comes out in Pritkin's short story.

Maybe they'll give us a glimpse of Pritkin in hell. Maybe Karen will put his pov in the next book.

@Ashleigh: you might already know this, but Karen Chance announced that she's planning 9 books, each 3 with a different main theme. i'm guessing first 3 are about the geis, 4-6 about ragnarok, and 7-9... well, there's a base for elaborate and insane theories if ever i saw one :)
i'm desperately hoping she gets a contract for all 9 cassie books. i think there are 5 dory books planned, but i might be wrong on that one.

@Naomi: i'm guessing (and this is just a guess, so i'm probably completely off track) that the shorts do completely tie in. if cassie does indeed say that (sorry, i'm too lazy to re-read and check), then i'm guessing it's just a tiny mistake on Karen Chance's part *ducks under table to avoid flying silverware and chair legs thrown by other fans* since HtM was released before Shadowland, even though that's the wrong order chronologically, which might have been a bit confusing and made it harder to keep track of what was happening when. at least, if that's true than i can pretend i understand what's going on here ^_^
