I am just starting
. After which I will be reading both
and
. And then, in a few weeks when
comes out I will be reading
first so that I can read them both together without having to wait. ^_^
I'm reading Gregor the Overlander series. I really enjoyed the Hunger Games triolgy, and wanted to get a feel for Suzanne Collins as an author. The series is meant for younge adults, but it's written so well, that adults can enjoy the books too.
Rebecca wrote: "Karen, I just can't stand reading about circuses and traveling shows of any stripe, for some reason--never have! This goes for that theme in movies as well. I still enjoyed the writing but some parts did make me cringe. Animal and human abuse are not things I would deliberately chose to read about but that part wasn't apparent until I had started to read the book.

Black Out" That is probably my least favorite book by Unger, you may like it though.
Finished reading The Christmas Clock by Kat Martin this morning. Good, but also very Hallmark-y. Am now starting an older holiday read plucked from the TBR pile, Christmas in Calico by Jack Curtis.
Trina wrote: "I am reading Stephen King's

I just finished Twenty Wishes. It was a good, light read. I've now read every single book in my physical TBR stack. Sounds like a trip to the library to me!
I am reading Run, Run, Run AwayRun, Run, Run Away [bookcover:Run, Run, Run Away by C.R. Cummings. Have to admit that it isn't what I was expecting, but a good book just the same.

Glad to see you like these books as much as I do! : )
Finished The Closers today-- really liked it. Also Up Jumps the Devil. Still reading A Drop of the Hard Stuff and am completely sucked in. Also about a quarter through Where There's a Witch for a lighter mystery.

Jeane- I'm just starting this as well. :) Hope you enjoy it, we'll have to chat when we're both done.
Paula- Glad to hear you loved it!! :)
Fall out - Ellen Hopkins, it's so far pretty good, although it's a third in a series I am not overall crazy about, but I do love her writing.

I also loved it. Couldn't get over how much I learned about the sport of horse racing.
I just finished reading Jamaica Inn by Daphne Du Maurier. I loved it. It was very dark, mysterious and a little bit scary too. It always kept me wanting to turn to the next page. I stopped reading Dairy Queen for a little while to read this book.
Olivia wrote: "Am bouncing around with my Kindle samples right now, but sort of reading Maine."I'm reading Maine on my Kindle right now!
Finished Making Money by Terry Pratchett. So very funny - really brightened my days while it snowed like a son of a gun!
I'm a decent chunk of the way into Beatitude by Larry Closs. It focuses heavily on these two guys who are obsessed with the beat generation... and Jack K.
Despite the fact that I've never read the beats... I am quite enjoying this novel!

After The Book Thief and several reading with other topic, I'm back again to occupied countries during WWII and people in hide with Anne Frank Remembered: The Story of the Woman Who Helped to Hide the Frank Family by Miep GiesIt's so sad, and human and bright story

At first I wasn't sure if I'd like it, but it's moving along!
Just finished

. After which will be
. Let's hear it for eagerly awaited sequels! XD!
Yuliya wrote: "After The Book Thief..."What did you think of The Book Thief? I finished it last month and then am now reading The Annotated Peter Pan (The Centennial Edition). It's interesting to see where Brom looked for his inspiration and how he retold the classic story.
I'm reading Her Fearful Symmetry and Bill Warrington's Last Chance: A Novel. I haven't had much time to read lately, so I feel like I'm falling way behind.
Rayna - I listened to (Her Fearful Symmetry) By Niffenegger, Audrey (Author) Paperback on 06-Jul-2010 for a book club last year. It was very intriguing. I liked it enough to decide I want to try other works by Audrey Niffenegger.

I loved The Book Thief. It's not forgettable. I'm reading the other books, but somehow this book popping up in my mind and memory again and again.
Krista- I read The Time Traveler's Wife not too long ago and enjoyed it. I'd also heard good things about Her Fearful Symmetry (without really knowing what it was about), but I didn't realize that it was by the same author until I happened upon it at the library and decided to check it out. I'm really enjoying it and the characters/plot definitely keep me interested.
I just finished Cutting for Stone, which was a phenomenal read, even though it's not a mystery, but a family saga. The author is a doctor, so there are a lot of medical situations in the book, and the India/Ethiopia/US settings are very interesting. I learned a lot!I've started reading an old favorite, Murder on the Orient Express. Since I'm writing a variant of a locked-room mystery (a group of whitewater rafters stuck in a remote river canyon with a killer, in my case), I thought I'd return to this locked-room mystery written by a master, for inspiration.
Maine is going slower than I would like and now I've also got The Paris Wife downloaded so I need to make more of an effort to finish Maine.

I just bought it to my mother for Christmas. A wonderful book!
I'm finished Killer Takes All By Erica Spindler, which I really enjoyed, loved the ending and I'm still reading Have You Seen Her By Karen Rose and I'm also just started Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow? By Claudia Carroll
Yuliya -- Thanks for responding. It definitely is memorable. I find myself thinking about it regularly.Rayna -- I appreciate your feedback about The Time Traveler's Wife and am delighted to see you're enjoying Her Fearful Symmetry.
Gitte -- What a fabulous present! Aren't the pictures just gorgeous?!
