J.A. Clement (jaclement) | 8 comments I tend to leave TBRs loose on the page and then file them when they're read as am a total filing pedant and it annoys me when it's on more than one page. Otherwise I just buy everything and then forget to read it, never mind review it!

Mom2olivia Lamar | 28 comments I have 72 on my Kindle...and I've only had it a day!

message 103: by Karen B. (new)

Karen B. (raggedy11) I have about 116 which includes sample chapters, some of the very short free things, and books that I am currently reading.

Mom2Olivia if you see this ...regarding question you posted somewhere else. There is a whole group on Goodreads that is just a Kindle Lending group.

message 104: by Mom2olivia (new)

Mom2olivia Lamar | 28 comments Okay thank you I'll look that up too :)

message 105: by Traci (new)

Traci (highxflyer) | 33 comments I'm up to 7 pages of books that I need to read. I'm not sure how many books that is exactly, as I haven't counted but I know it's quite a bit! I also have several paperback books I need to start reading.

message 106: by Amy (new)

Amy (amypma) | 5 comments Too many! There needs to be hours in the day just for reading.

message 107: by Helen (new)

Helen I think we should be allowed to retire early with full pay if you have a reading addiction!

message 108: by Karen B. (new)

Karen B. (raggedy11) that's a good one Helen. Does anyone know offhand about "Collections" in Kindle (latest generation) It looks to me like we could sort our books into groups on our Kindle. I know someone has suggested calibre which I downloaded but I don't want to take the time to figure it out. I know ... I know... *LOL*

message 109: by Karen B. (new)

Karen B. (raggedy11) I mentioned on a list somewhere that my problem is that I am getting too slow at reading. I have a book in my book basket on how to increase your speed in reading (or something like that) in just 10 days but I don't have the time to read it. *LOL*

sonya marie madden | 268 comments over 100. *gulp*

message 111: by Traci (new)

Traci (highxflyer) | 33 comments I'm at 58. It would be 59 but I'm actually reading one right now. I have more books that I need to get added to my Kindle but I'm trying to read through some of the ones I have on my Kindle before I add more!

I bought four books from the Kindle Sunshine deals and that didn't help matters any. Ugh, I wish there were more hours in the day.

message 112: by sonya (new)

sonya marie madden | 268 comments and still 415 dtb. i read one kindle and one dtb at once.

message 113: by RW (new)

RW Bennett (rwbennett) | 11 comments I'm a piker. I only have fourteen that I haven't cracked the cover yet.

Clare K. R. (clare-dragonfly) Karen B wrote: "Does anyone know offhand about "Collections" in Kindle (latest generation) It looks to me like we could sort our books into groups on our Kindle."

That's exactly what Collections are for.

message 115: by RW (new)

RW Bennett (rwbennett) | 11 comments Some authors on the Kindle boards are complaining that sales are slow this month. Do you think it is because of the Kindle Sunshine deals, everyone's Kindle is pretty full, or some other reason?

message 116: by Helen (new)

Helen i haven't bought anything as I have loads to read, not had enough time to even look. End of term is a really busy time too.

message 117: by Ashley (new)

Ashley (ashleylaura87) | 89 comments RW wrote: "Some authors on the Kindle boards are complaining that sales are slow this month. Do you think it is because of the Kindle Sunshine deals, everyone's Kindle is pretty full, or some other reason?"

What is the Kindle Sunshine deal?

message 118: by RW (new)

RW Bennett (rwbennett) | 11 comments Ashley, I don't know all the details, but I think it was an Amazon sale where they discounted a large number of Kindle books by well-known authors significantly. The sale ran the first two weeks of June, to my knowledge.

message 119: by Betsy (new)

Betsy Funny, I didn't know anything about any Sunshine Deals, but I haven't been browsing Amazon nearly as much as I used to. Not since I joined Goodreads. I have much better luck finding interesting things to read on GR. But I do usually buy them on Amazon.

Wulfwyn (franceswulfwyn) | 1 comments Lisa wrote: "I am losing track! I decided initially to have folders putting my books into genres. This was okay at the time, but I am forgetting which books I've read.
What do others do with their TBR's?"

I have a folder that I have titled Books read 2011 and one marked currently reading, (I tend to read more than 1 book at a time). As soon as I finish one it goes into my 2011 folder. This also helps when I get around to updating my 100 books challenge on FB. Hope this helps you Lisa.

I have at least 300 TBR's and I am confident I will read them all...especially if my Kindle gets buried with me. ;P

message 121: by Liane (new)

Liane (lianescalona) | 4 comments lol. i have around 300 books in my kindle! different genres, i have classics, chick lit, adventures, horror, thriller. but no sci-fi books. i'm not really a fan.

soo many boooks.. so little time...

Irene Well Worth A Read I have approximately 50 that I haven't read yet, but still I can't stop looking for more.

message 123: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Dutton | 10 comments I have about 45 that I haven't read yet. That doesn't include my different versions of devotionals that I have picked up or the children's books I have picked up for my kiddos. If I add those in it is probably close to 70.

message 124: by Helen (new)

Helen I didn't see the Sunshine sale either :(

message 125: by Christina (last edited Jun 25, 2011 11:15PM) (new)

Christina Garner | 20 comments Apparently I am a vast underachiever. I've got 5, lol. And about 5 print books I haven't cracked the binding on yet. (Borders going out of business sale--lots of YA for $3!)

message 126: by Helen (new)

Helen Christina, go shop! I've just bought Room £5 cheaper than paperback and The Owl Killers which seems to have been reduced.

message 127: by Christina (new)

Christina Garner | 20 comments Lol, Helen. I tend to read what I feel like in the moment, so I think that's why I don't have a big TBR backlog. Although I did hold onto a paperback version of Prince Ombra (the original, not the crappy version they re-packaged for middle grade, grr...) for 4 years before I read it, and it's one of my fave of all time.

message 128: by Traci (new)

Traci (highxflyer) | 33 comments Well I managed to knock three books off my to read list. Having a few days off from work vastly helped me knock some books off it. Too bad I have more that I'm just waiting to load to my Kindle.

message 129: by Terri (new)

Terri | 5 comments 300+!

message 130: by [deleted user] (new)

Only 2 right now.

message 131: by Amy (new)

Amy (mary6543) | 14 comments Six for adults.
Seven for kids.

I saw the Sunshine deals but there were not too many books I was interested in.

message 132: by Michelle (new)

Michelle Scott (michellescottfiction) At last count, there's 12. But I've only had my Kindle since the end of May, lol.

message 133: by Maralee (new)

Maralee (divedeep118) I'm about to hit the 500 mark!!

message 134: by Betsy (new)

Betsy I have 3 currently reading, 4 paused (started but for various reasons stopped in the middle but expect to finish later), 11 to read, and about 8 samples. I would go a little crazy if I had hundreds of to read books on my kindle. How do you keep track? I do have a bunch (probably around a hundred) of to read books in paper/hardback and most of them have been waiting for attention for years.

message 135: by stormhawk (new)

stormhawk | 542 comments I keep my multitude of TBRs sorted into collections ... SciFi, Mystery, Free and Classics, etc. For books that don't sort into the existing categories, I have a catchall called TBR. And then there is the dreaded Sample folder ...

message 136: by Katrina (new)

Katrina (katmcv) | 2 comments I have about 70 unread books on my kindle atm. I need to be taken away from the internet for a couple of months.

message 137: by Alex (new)

Alex I have 32 and I havent't even got my kindle yet.

message 138: by Shonna (new)

Shonna (sclaude) | 1 comments 37, and will probably add more, I look everyday at the free books & cheap books, I just can't resist a bargain.

message 139: by Helen (new)

Helen Zee, you sound like you're addicted before you've even started!

message 140: by Shel (new)

Shel Delisle (sheldelisle) | 4 comments 63 books in my Kindle TBR pile and many, many, many more samples! It's funny I just blogged about TBR piles and i have apoll to make sure I'm not the only one out of control.

message 141: by Deb (new)

Deb Wakolee | 13 comments I can't resist a free or bargain thriller/mystery read either!! I have 14 pages..just how many is that!? I get several emails a day of lists of free or cheap books for me to check out..and I do! They do the work for me!

message 142: by Lee Lee (new)

Lee Lee (leeleew) 55 for me. thats not counting alot freebies that i have on my computer.

message 143: by Raven (new)

Raven Gracey (ravenleegracey) | 5 comments 275 for me.

message 144: by Alex (new)

Alex Helen wrote: "Zee, you sound like you're addicted before you've even started!"

Guilty as charged! I have been reading them on my phone but obviously it's a lot slower going.

message 145: by Nate (new)

Nate | 41 comments My TBR list is so insignificant in comparison to everyone else's lol but here goes ....as of now 18.

message 146: by Amandaj (new)

Amandaj | 2 comments I have too many to count on mine. I don't think I will finish all of them because I am constantly adding to my list of things to read. Some of them are freebies that I add if they seem slightly interesting, but I have found out that not all of them are worth reading. But there have been some surprises with some of the free books I was initially skeptical about.

message 147: by Angela (new)

Angela (angelah110) | 82 comments I have 6 on my TBR list, however that is just me lying to myself. I have 5 in my currently reading collection and 60 in my other collections.

message 148: by Helen (new)

Helen Mine is charging so I can't count, but it must be getting towards 60.

message 149: by Michelle (new)

Michelle Scott (michellescottfiction) I get several emails a day of lists of free or cheap books for me to check out..and I do!

Deb, where could I go to get on an e-mail list like that?

message 150: by Michelle (new)

Michelle 93 at the last count, but I think the number is probably a few higher than that by now. You know how it is... read one, add three.... read one, add six... etc. :)
